Hello All!

All the pieces are finally falling into place for our first Disney Cruise on Sept 22. We booked the Hilton Cocoa Beach via HotWire for 1 night before we sail out. The website for the hotel leads me to believe it is a nice hotel. Any past experience info would be great appreciated.

Thanks!
Scott and Sunny

I'm so excited.....Nobody else on this board is on that cruise except my family....and now you. Hurray! Are you traveling with children? Mine are DD10 and DS6.

Sorry, I can't help you out with the hotel but will be interested to see your replies as we are going to KSC on Saturday before the cruise and need to stay somewhere too.

I will be traveling with my wife, mother in law and our two little girls. At cruise time they will be 5-1/2 and 1-1/2 (Our five year old always makes sure we add the 1/2 to her age!)

Does the Hilton have a complimentary shuttle to the port? Also, is the pool area as nice as the Radisson?

We are staying at the Hilton for several days prior to our June 8 cruise. My husband and I stayed there once before but it has been many years ago. At that time, it was very nice, and we really enjoyed it. We didn't hesitate to choose it again.

Yes, we stayed at that hotel a year ago in November. It was very nice, in my opinion. We had booked the Holiday Inn down the road and .....well lets just say if you know anyone even considering that place.....stop them! It is a dive and a half!! Uuuggh if you only knew. It was so nasty, so we moved down to the Hilton very shortly after we checked in. What a difference that was. It was really nice, staff was nice, and I thought the pool was nice and clean. Kids only swam a little bit that evening, but I sure don't remember it being bad. I remember there is a small outdoor bar close to the pool.
Good choice.:)

No, the Radisson is the only hotel with a shuttle.

No. It's surprisingly small, in fact. The pool at the Radisson is much nicer.

we stayed at this hilton for 2 nights in 2001. the pool is VERY small. my kids didn't even attempt to swim because there were teens horsing around and I thought they would get hurt. somehow, from the photos i got the impression that the pool was pretty large, not so. I would stay there for one night before a cruise. it's clean. i just wouldn't want to try to make a vacaiton out of it. it's not very family oriented. there's only one restaurant that's fairly expensive. nowhere to get a snack or fast food.

have a great cruise!
