I'm going on holiday tomorrow and I seem to be coming down with a cold. I've got a blocked nose and I've been sneezing quite a bit. I don't have any remedies in the house because I normally just let these things run their course.

I've taken a dose of Vitamin C (I'm willing to try anything at the moment), but I'm feeling a bit lousy and could do with hearing about what you all recommend for a blocked nose. I'm not really expecting a cure, but just something to relieve it and maybe help me through the flight.

Thanks guys. :goodvibes

Deb, have you any eucalyptus honey, this is the aromatherapist in me coming out LOL, get some in a burner and a few drops on your pillow. Have a great time babe, I can't wait to hear all about it xx See if I was next door to you I could have rubbed you with essential oils LOL

Deb

I always use a Vicks inhaler, you know one of those things you can pop in your nostril and can keep in your purse for a blocked nose, always works well for me. Hope you feel better soon and have a brilliant holiday hon:hug:

spot the aromatherapist :rotfl2:
personally Debs I'd go for a huge mug of warm gluhwein, a paracetamol and an early night - kill or cure, babe, kill or cure!

My Gran always had these for us when we were kids. I think I might get one for the flight. :thumbsup2

Isn't there a remedy for the 1st signs of a cold that you can inhale :confused 1st defence or something !

Enjoy your trip x x

Try a nice hot vindaloo. That will clear your passages :thumbsup2
:rotfl: Seriously, i think sinutab works well, you can get it alone or with added paracetamol, the paradetamol will help keep your temperature down, you poor thing, just before your hols as well:hug:

a great big hug in a mug, I would even put the blue furry suit on xx

Olbas Oil works for me every time hun. Send Matt down to Tesco, get some Olbas Oil, put a few drops in a bowl of steaming hot water and shove your head over it (cover your head and the bowl with a towel so you get the full effects of the steam). Hope you are feeling much better by tomorrow :goodvibes

P.S. Did anything arrive in the mail today?

Talk about great timing! The best cure for what ails you are the lovely beaches, the tropical breezes, and the excellent food and drink of St. Lucia. And that's just where you're going!!! Have a great time.
Holiday Hugs, Susan

PS Just to hedge your bet, get a box of Theraflu and brew a cup or two. It's great stuff. If it's not available in the UK look for it on this side of the Atlantic.
