Oh that is great! thank you! I can't believe what I am reading though.... piano IN THE ROOM?!?!!?

hmmm did you spend around $2,200 a night for your grand suite? That is about the running cost for it. I want to make sure you indeed have THE grand suite :confused3

Dawn - STAY WARM!!! I finally got the chill out of myself.

Princesses - We have that same plaid shorts (with the sash) and cute top to match outfit, too!!! I think I posted pics of Lucy wearing it in March - the navy blue top with the blue plaid??? From all the spring break clothes I bought and others I had about $600 in too bucks and I had over $300 in the bonus bucks....I still have $150 left so like you I am waiting for closer to summer. This is my first year with Limited Too and I am liking it. Boy, these bucks are GREAT DEALS. :goodvibes :thumbsup2 I know that cute pink outfit - I think Jo will want that.:) Now we just need some WARM weather! It might even snow tomorrow!!!!

Mandy - OMG...I am sorry about your hair. :guilty: I agree with Brook....just calm down, wash it tomorrow and restyle it. If you still hate it, just remember it will grow back - and you said it grows fast...so just go with it. :flower3: It's probably not as bad as you're thinking. I have been there....my mom was a stylist:eek: ....talk about awful hair...I was her guinea pig too many times. :rotfl: Luckily now I have a stylist I LOVE (and mom lives in AZ, thousands of miles away from me;) )and I stick with her no matter what. :rolleyes1

:)

Brook and Channing

Thanks

I am the lead for the Praise team at my church so Sundays are a big day for me hair and makeup wise...... because that's what's important when we praise Jesus :rotfl:

Seriously, we have a lady that dresses us. We are a big church and our services are on the radio and TV so we have to look spot on. I am well known at our church because if my position and I can't go any wear with out running into someone I know. Me and my PT girls are really into fashion and really cute hair and accessories, so I feel like I will look like the ugly step sister. I normally have my hair done on Tuesdays or Thursdays so I have time to play and adjust to a new do and get anything fixed if need be. Oh yea, my hair is super curly and you have to be careful how it's cut or it looks bad.

I had a stacked bob with lot's of layers and some long front pieces framing my face done last November. Super cute, the best hair style I have ever had. since it is still in style I decide to get it done again. My stylist just had a baby and told me she would be returning but has decided to stay home for a while. I have been searching for a while and have gotten lots of suggestions. This girl came highly recommended so I figured I would try her. I could not get an appt for 6 weeks and that was with me willing to go anytime. I took lots of my pictures that our church took at Christmas time that shows every angle of my head :rotfl:

She seemed confident but OMG I think she forgot that my curly hair shrinks up as it drys. I have a friend meeting me in the dressing room at church to help me so May be we can come up with something. At this point i'm ready to wear a hat for a few months.....:sad2:

Sorry for the rant, I needed to ramble to feel better. My BF is out of town on her anniversary trip and I don't want to call to cry about my hair. Thanks GF friends

Mandy

** I'm off to call the camera guys and tell them no close ups or side shots of me..... **

I have been skimming thru the cake thread. Most of the recent cakes are so lame. Just basic with writing and flowers. Boring.

I want to order something but it would have to be really neat.:goodvibes

Somebody mentioned they liked my Minnie head cake most of all.:thumbsup2

Talk to ya later - I am off to go out to dinner with the Ps and the DDs....

:)

Mandy - Jojo has a super short, lip length stacked bob...I LOVE that cut....I have people come up to us when we're on vacation and ask if they can take a picture of her hair!!! This has happened a lot!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I bet it's CUTE on you. Short and sassy!!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Just do your makeup extra special - maybe emphasize your eyes more or could you wear a cute scarf tied around like a head band with a cute bow at the back of your neck - off to the side??? Something to detract from the cut.... Or wear some super cute earrings??? I know usually when I have had a bad cut, the next day it's not as bad....kind of "grows" on me and also usually I am the only one that thinks it's awful...other people have told me it's cute!!!! You are your toughest critic. I love your irony about how your looks are what's important when you are in church.:rotfl: :rotfl:

See ya later - off to dinner!!!

Cheer up. :wizard: I have been there, but now I'm not - hair grows!!:thumbsup2

Good evening gals! I am exhausted. Woke up with a very bad headache after last night. Love wine going down but hate when too much of it goes down:headache: I was the mommy with a HUGE headache at the volleyball tournament this morning.

Brook- Love the dresses. I may have to order that pink Mickey one for my youngest. I hate that my other daughter will be 8 and she is just starting to grow out of the girls things. It makes me sad.

Channing- We are huge Limited Too shoppers. Love my Too Bucks!

Mandy- Good luck with the hair. I always hate when that happens. But I agree..give it a few days. It will get better.

Lindsay- Glad you are having some luck with the cake!

Would love to stay in the suite!! I highly doubt it ever happens but would love to see pictures.

When does Kelly get back? Looking forward to some pictures.

It is down right COLD here today! I was glad I had not bought any flowers yet.

Have a nice evening. Off to dinner with friends and hopefully home and to bed early.

Mandy~ yeah what channing said:thumbsup2

Hello, everyone! I was asked to do a little research into bakeries in the Orlando area that could do something for special occasions. Please let me preface this by saying that I have never personally used the following shops, but I read some excellent reviews of their work.

The first is http://www.bakemeacake.net/index.html. The cakes look beautiful. Please note that they require at least two weeks notice on a cake. They are located in Altamonte. That would be about a 45 minute drive from my location (I live right behind Magic Kingdom) each way.

The second is http://www.orlandocustomcakes.com/. Again, the cakes look very nice. This bakery is located about 20 minutes from my location.

There is also a bakery I've heard a lot about from people who have purchased her products. They absolutely rave about her, but I have not seen her cakes. She has a website, but it showed an error when I tried accessing it. She is called The Dessert Lady. She is about a half hour drive from my location.

I would be happy to contact any of these shops and ask them about specific designs that you might have in mind. I really have no idea what their prices are like at this point, but I could inquire.

With all the weddings that take place in Orlando, I'm sure there are other bakeries, but it will take me awhile to look into them.

If any of you have a specific inquiry you would like me to make, please feel free to contact me. I'll do what I can to help you.

Thanks!
Peggy

Wow! Both sites have GORGEOUS cakes! I'd almost hate to eat them! ( but I would anyway...)
Thanks for your post. We may have to invent a special occasion just to get one of those cakes for our summer trip!

Oh Peggy that Blue slipper would be so perfect for Savannah...dolled up like A glass slipper!!!! I wonder if they can do it sugar free though?

:)

I just went back to your Spring Break pics - she has the Aqua Blue top just like your DD has on in the pics where you're walking on the GF beach! DD loves that top. Her shorts are a different aqua blue/navy/white/yellow plaid with the Aqua blue sash. Your DD's are cute too!

This is our first year for L2 ,also. I thought it was a little too grown up for for a while!:rolleyes1 But I caved last Fall and checked it out. Some of it is a little crazy but I was pleasantly surprised at some of it! I had to get used to the "cami's"!;) I liked the fall/winter but I love the spring/summer.

Brook~do you know what is the difference between lap band and gastric? I am curious for a friend (no really) who needs it badly. Would insurance pay for her? Her knees just gave out and she is going to have to have surgery, they told her to lose a lot of weight to ease the pressure.

:flower3:

Yeah BIG BIG differences HUGE.... :rotfl2:

Lap band is a plastic ring they implant around the top of your stomach... they usually do it out patient. They slowly fill it with a liquid (its a hollow ring) until they find your sweet spot... the band restrics how much food you can eat at one time. there are advantages and disadvantages to both RNY and lap band. Usually weight loss is slower with lap band, and it does not have AS HIGH of a sucess rate as RNY (AKA gastric bypass) ... I know many people who have done wonderful on lap band and I know many who have failed with it.... the best part about lap band is it does NOT reroute your innards like RNY does... its a safer procedure and there is no malabsorbtion so you don't have to worry about your vitamin intake as much...

Now with RNY there is a 4 days stay in the hospital... As I explained the procedure I won't go through it again in this post :rotfl: your innards are rewired completely and your stomach is cut away and a new pouch is made for you.
There is about a 90% sucess rate with RNY for a 5 year period. It is EXTREMELY effective BUT there are many life changing side effects that lap banders dont have to worry about... I explained my complete intolerance to sugar.... my risk of having vitamin issues if I am not totally careful...

Long story short.... lap band has less risks and is easier to recover from but not as good at losing and maintaining the weight ....
RNY has lots more risks, harder to recover from and life long dedications to make sure you absorb vitamins... but it is better for long term weight loss

With that said... it depends really... to be frank here... how big your friend is. If she only wants to lose a 100 pounds or so then lap band might be the best way for her if she just wants a "little help"
If she is 300lbs and can't control her eating at all... or is scared she will cheat with the lap band (yup you can cheat with a lap band but dont ask me how....)
then RNY may be right for her...
The best thing is to have her contact a doc who deals with WLS as he will be able to help her better and know her medical conditions.... There are several other types of WLS besides RNY and lap band. Those are just the 2 most common. :flower3:

What do you think... can I get it in lime green please :thumbsup2

Good Morning!!

My oh My that was alot of posts to catch up on. That Grand Suite looks......GRAND!!!!

Day 3 got my Cabana!!!!!! I can't until tomorrow when I don't have to set my alarm clock!!!! I'll be up getting the kids ready for school when I have to call. I don't think that guy is still there for these dates, nobody is telling me its the last one.

Anyway......Natalie and I LOVE L2, we love too bucks and bonus cards. She also loves abercrombie and hollister, but L2 fits her better. Brook I LOVE those dresses I wish Natalie was still little!! BTW that bed bug thing is gross!!

Mandy - I am sure you look great, and the girls are right just give it a couple of days.:flower3:

The weather here is cold and rainy, this is the first weekend we don't have basketball and my DH and DS are taking hunting tests!!! Natalie wants to go shopping. I hate going to mall on the weekends, its so crowded.

Maybe you girls can help me, I looking for a cute hoodie. I shopped and shopped. I saw Ed Hardy's and Lucky's, just to busy. I have plain ones I was just looking for something more interesting.:confused3

We are going to start calling Wishes the cabana queen :lmao:
great going!

Good morning to everyone! It is still raining... it rained all day yesterday and its still going~ I am on Noah watch :rotfl2: the streets are flooded... my new flowerbed is toast.... and the kids are stuck in the house all day :scared:
but the best part is you have to put up with me being bored and posting again on here all day :cheer2: :cheer2:
I am not even going to Church this morning... I know bad me but it is yucky nasty out. As I live in a small southern town this means hiding out from the old ladies who will come by and check on us :rotfl2: :rotfl2: anyone who lives in a small town understands what I am talking about

SOOOO here is my question for you... what kind of music do you like? What are some of your current fav songs?
I am listening to my itunes library and need to get me some new music...

When it comes to music I can listen to anything!!! My IPOD is eclectic, I played and taught piano for a total of 12 years or something like that. I played in an orchestra pit off off broadway a couple of times too.

Right now I am kind of into:

Michael Buble
Fergie
Pink
Jordan Sparks/Chris Brown - Air
Corinne Bailey Rae - Like a Star
John Mayer
Rascal Flatts
Dixie Chicks
Beatles
John Legend

I'd have to long on to my Itunes account, because theres more I just can't think of who!!:rolleyes1

Who do you like to listen to?

I am the queen of eclectic :rotfl: I have 2300 songs on my itunes account :rotfl2:

I like country...newer stuff but have buffet and Hank jr
I like some heavy metal and as my mom calls it "devil music" :rotfl:
old rock n roll
broadway musicals
80s
shoot.... name the style and I have it on my itunes... :rotfl:
I am not one to be "into" any particular style... I am more into the song... it has to "catch me"

Right now I am listening to Epica. I know they are a bit harsh at times but I like their style!!! Ever heard of them?
They take Opera, heavy metal, classical music and throw in some latin to make for some cool music :thumbsup2

Try downloading their song Chasing the dragon... starts off really slow but gets good and shows how eclectic this band is

Chasing the Dragon is really good. Great voice!!

I haven't listened to Heavy Metal in years, I do listen to classical, the pianist in me still enjoys a great run. Broadway of course, we buy the soundtracks to most every play we go see and living in NYC we see about 90% of them. My DH loves old R&R, so do I but I have to be in the mood.'

My kids listen to crap, but some of the crap I like!! DS occasionally plays guitar hero and admits that music is pretty good!!:goodvibes
