Mandy - what a great surprise you had this morning, after what I can assume was a restless night!!!:flower3:

Hey all....just checking in...I am SO BORED today. The girls are with my parents and Zack has his girlfriend over....I feel like a guest in my own house - tippy toeing around so I don't bug them.

Annette - that is great the cabanas are working out for ya! So glad you have been lucky with booking them.:flower3:

Mandy - GREAT NEWS about your hair!!! You weren't whining....we all know how awful it feels to look in the mirror and hate what you see.

Praline - I LOVE ALL MUSIC!!!! From Scorpians to Sinatra to REM and blue grass to Broadway & Cole Porter to Annie Lennox and Queen.......I LOVE MUSIC! :music: I was a piano performance major in college....music is ME!:goodvibes Must have music for life.,....and throw in a super size Diet Coke and I am good to go!:thumbsup2

Dawn & Kristin...how about this weather?!?!?!?! Sucko!!! ONe day wearing flip flops to now what??? Snow boots?? Somebody told me it might snow:eek: .....I just got back from a walk. My Newfie appreciates this weather.:dog:

Vbarry - I have heard Discovery Cove is phenomenal.....I have NO interest in fish or birds, haha ( they almost give me the shakes), so not for me - but for most.:goodvibes And if you book the thing where you get to swim with the dolphins......super cool. A friend of mine did that whole thing & said it was just so special.:wizard:

Well I am looking for some good work out music... something new and not the same old stuff...

I dont want anything slow or dragging... any suggestions for good work out music?

Ok - I really don't want to be anywhere but at GF for this Mother's Day trip :guilty: I'm pouting... and checking online constantly! I was excited about YC at first but now I'm just like, "Who am I kidding?" I love the Seven Seas Lagoon :rolleyes1
I might book the 2 nights that are available and just keep hoping that the third opens up :confused3
Praline Funny - "Bring me to Life" by Evanescence is on my walking playlist ;)
DD and I did Discovery Cove two summers ago and it was PARADISE. The cleanest, nicest "theme park" EVER. The dolphin interaction is brief but wonderful :wizard:

This weather is the worst...no wonder all the kids at school are sick.
ON Friday it was soo humid and hot at school (we do not have air conditioning in our elementary schools) the poor kids were limp rags by the end of the day...then yesterday I had to put on my winter coat to watch baseball!

Evening GF Ladies...if you get a chance go to the resorts thread and read Disney on a Dime thread....op wants to write a letter to head of disney because the kids were jumping on the bed :rotfl2: Oh Yah, I'm sure they'll get right on it

Done with housework now I'm going to watch Enchanted...I finished Juno and didn't really care for it...it was just okay

:flower3:

I bummed to hear you didn't like Juno - I just rented it! Was it not funny or was it kind of weird?

DD and I loved Enchanted and bought it! The boys didn't care for it of course!

Watch it and see what you think...my daughter loved it, maybe i just had really high expectations since it was on everyones best movie of the year list....the one I LOVED was gone baby gone (thanks to Brook) OMG one of the best i have seen in awhile.
Princesses...let me know what you think..Jason Bateman was great as usual, but I loved him and the son in Arrested Development my all time fav tv show:yay:

Watching Enchanted right now!
DAwn:flower3:

Yeah Gone baby gone was a GREAT movie!!!!

You are just sitting there with a dumb jaw drop kind of face at the end :rotfl2:

Brooke: I love evenessence. Bring Me to Life is one of my favorite songs of theirs. I love how a lot of their music is ballad-esque (is that a word?) but still has a beat!

Mandy: So glad you love your hair now! I have thick frizzy hair, and sometimes when I leave the salon it looks awful, so I know exactly how you were feeling! They try to volumize mine because "everyone wishes they had hair like yours". No. They don't. Trust me. I literally have enough hair for three people. Maybe four. I have a really great stylist now who has hair like mine so she is great about taming it before I leave the salon and I love her for it!

Annette: Good for you on the cabanas!

vbarry: My mom, sister and I went to Discovery Cove about five years ago. I really, really enjoyed it and so did they, which is saying something as my mom is the ultimate spend thrift (Disney on a Dime? She would only be happy with Disney on a nickle (or maybe a penny)!?!) I DID NOT inheret her money genes, though sometimes I wish I had! :) They have a wonderful aviary that the lazy river flows by, a great pool, a fab snorkeling area, good food, and a fun time with the dolphin encounter. My mom thought it was the best money she had ever spent. It is the only "park" expereience outside of Disney that I have ever wished to repeat. In fact, I am trying to wrangle a way to do it with my BF on our honeymoon in January.

The GF thread is pretty full so I thought I would post here. We leave tomorrow.:woohoo: We have all been sick the last two weeks and are still coughing, but feeling better. That warm Florida sun will be just what we need.:thumbsup2 Hoping for some pixi dust that we get our request for a lodge tower room. I have never had a request except for non smoking, and I really hope we get this one. DS's DGF is joining us and I really want the extra room. Four people in one bathroom.:scared1: We have had the lodge tower room in SL the last two times and didn't request it, so hoping we get it again. If not we will make do with a regular room.:lmao:

Dawn, I have been kind of following that thread. I have to admit, when I saw that I gasped!!! I wouldn't let my kids do that - I guess more because I would be afraid of what the people in the room would have to deal with hearing LOL..:rotfl: I guess it's more of a case that I have been the one below bed jumpers a couple times.:rotfl: I understand the OP's point. I just think those stupid threads get so nitpicked and turn so controversial over something so minute it gets amusing. I am STILL SHIVERING....I put on my warm velour sweatsuit and slept in that with my heated mattress turned all the way up!!! I can't get over the bone chilling morning on the soccer field.:guilty:

I didn't see Juno. Didn't want to.:sad2: The subject matter really grosses me out.....I have a 17 yr old son and I don't think I'd enjoy that movie...:scared:

What a quiet morning.......Happy Monday! :surfweb:

It hasn't been quiet here!!!!!:rotfl: UGH@ I had to get up at 6 & get my older kids up, then wake up Jojo and get Lucy to band (w/Jo) and then run thru Mc Ds for Jojo (as compensation for having to get up extra early to run Lu to school) and then got home, got Jo ready, got a call from Lu's nurse - she needs Advil.....ran to her school to drop the Advil and sign waivers etc...then ran Jo to her school.....UGH!!!!!!! i feel like I've spent the morning in my car.:rotfl: :rotfl: Crazy. DH is out of town and I am feeling it today.

NOW.....I can relax and DIS.:thumbsup2 How's the hair saga?? Hope its another good day with your new cut.

Wow...you guys have me a bit interested in DC. I hate birds and I am almost fish phobic but my kids might really love it. I have heard nothing but great reports on it. I have my flight into Tampa, but I would prefer to change it to MCO and just do someting like DC or even *gag* UO. Haven't been to Universal in a few yrs....I didn't like it then, though. Maybe I will be more open minded now.

Maxie86,
Have a great time!
We'll be following you and arriving on wedensday.

A cold rainy day here in NY has me looking forward to that warm weather!

I love it, DH loves it, a lot of my close friends and family love it :thumbsup2 My grandmother said "it's just sad to think that you can't put your hair in a pretty bun" which means she dosn't like it :rotfl: I use to wear my hair in a bun in the late 90' a lot and she LOVES that little Amish looking bun, even though I haven't worn it that way for years :rotfl: I also got lots of compliments at church yesterday which is good. People are really open with me about giving me their opinion on what I wear and how I do my hair. I have had complete strangers come up to me and say things like "that color washes you out" or "I like your hair curly, when you wear it strait you look so old" and my fave is "you look pregant, are you?" I get that pregnant question a few time a month! I guess since I had 4 kids in 4 years I gotta expect that one, esp since the baby doll and trapeeze top are so popular! :rotfl:

Hooray!! A Morning just for Mommy!!!

DS is at preschool through lunch time, DH left fot TX this AM for work, I can grab some coffee and catch up! :surfweb:

I placed a big order with the Loft yesterday. I ordered this dress to wear to a wedding Mother's Day weekend

219132_6600.jpg

It was 25% off yesterday and I had another 25% off so long as I spent $150 so I ended up getting it for $49!!!! I ordered those white shorts in a petite but I hope my order comes this week. If I don't like the shirts, J Crew has a pair I can order, but I need them before the trip!!! (16 days  )

I need to call the cake hotline today and leave a message at Pop for that cake...I should probably do that before DS gets home from school

Kristin

Me, too! I love  all cake in general, but really love white b-day cake. I grew up getting custom cakes from a fab bakery for all birthdays, so that's why I'm finding it so hard to believe that this is so difficult! :confused3

I saw an article in my DVC mag. about all the changes coming to DCA - I'm really looking forward to seeing it after it's all done - definitely going to inject some much-needed attention and energy into that park, IMO. :thumbsup2

Oh no - C. is leaving? :sad1: I was just thinking that I was going to e-mail her to see if she'll be around next week so we can say "hi." I know she was looking for other opportunities, but selfishly, that makes me sad!

Oh yes, Matthew is quite the die-hard fan. I admire his passion for UT Football, but he still wears on my last nerve!

I did see that story about that. Go, Faith, I say! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the cake advice. So you were able to get the custard filling on an 8"? I asked that exact question yesterday, and was told they could only do that in a 10". :headache: Was it good? Did you call the GF Bakery directly, or did concierge help you?

She's still there now. Give her a call -- I'm sure she'd love to see you! :goodvibes And tell her I said "Hello!"
