33 days!!!!

:cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:  :cool1:

I decided to do a red-neck report on our trip to WDW last March. I'm callin' it a rednecker because I used a disposable camera. Yup, AND I'm admitting to it! :lmao: Anyways, I had heard about the Disboards :disrocks: through a friend and although I hadn't booked a trip I was bored so decided to check it out. Well, we all know how that usually goes...

I found out what I wanted to find out and brainstormed that it would be cool to go with the kids, my sis and her kid. I kinda forgot about Pierre, sorry P! Now, Wendy is not very adventerous and the most she gets out is to the mall or casino but if I'm on board and in control she's up for it. We plotted and planned and told the guys we were going and they were coming with us. I don't think either one of us really talked price to them but who cares- we're going to Disney!!! Come to think of it, Pierre still doesn't know. We decided on March and were KOTS from Bella. :ssst: Her teacher suggested making a scavenger hunt with notecards, thus working on reading skills. She loved it was totally surprised! Here she is finding out about it.

Since there were 7 of us we had to take a limo (stinks for us, huh?!) to the airport. We checked in and went to the Northwest gate our plane was assigned to. We got on the plane, off the plane, on the plane, out to the runway, back to the gate (and reassigned a connecting flight) and off the plane, FINALLY back onto the plane and into the air. I forget where our connection was but it was a NW hub and, get ready for it, not only did we miss our NEW connection but the next one we could get on was delayed. Of course, me being the controller I am, all of this was making me freak out and stomp up and down the airport like a 3 year old. No worries though, my fam knows me! Cooper somehow managed to charm someone and the pilot let him sit in his seat for a quick pic.

We finally get to MCO about 6 hours later than planned and that's ALOT when the vacay is only 4 days long. We headed down to ME desk and the most fabulous lady checked us in. pixiedust: I had to tell her the drama of my, I mean our, day and about missing the Cinderella dinner I had planned for us at the GF. She got on the phone and got us the latest ressies possible and told us to run to the GF bus. Disney magic!

By the time we got to the Poly drop off we had changed our minds. It was past the new time she got us and we were stressed out so Pierre got the bus driver to take us to our hotel, POFQ. We checked in, oohed and ahhed over how pretty the resort was and dropped off our stuff in the rooms. The kids wanted to check out the pool and we let them even though it was about 10 pm. We ordered pizza and all crashed for the night.

Now, let me tell you I am a MORNING (as in 5-6 am) person, always have been and always will be. I made early reservations for 1900 Park Fair since we are all Mary Poppins fans. Side note- I took Bella to London last Nov. and we saw the stage production, really fun show! I had also ordered the Cinderella's slipper dessert for Bella. She was mortified that everyone sang HB to her. Her hair is down here because she was going through a phase where she had to wear a bow on the side like Hello Kitty (but of course the tshirt was still baggy). Nearly everyone else dragged themselves along.

DSC01900.jpg

The breakfast was wonderful and Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh and the gang spent a decent amount of time with all of the tables. We were SO full afterwards! Onto the monorail we went and through my Discanning I found out about the front car. Luckily we were able to go on and it was pretty cool. I wish we got co-pilots cards but didn't think to ask. MK here we come!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Can someone tell me how to edit my title? I want to be able to post new updates.

We were there from 13-16 so it was a quick trip. More to come on it! Thanks for telling me how to do the title change!

We got off the monorail at the MK and I was bummed that we had missed the opening ceremony but I lived. We entered the park and I was in "lets go!" mode :hyper: . Unfotunately I was the only one. Bella was ALREADY asking "when are we going back to the hotel so I can go swimming?" Nice try kid, ain't gonna happen! This is where we became "them" You know the ones who stand there with the map, scratching their heads :sad2: , wondering where to go first.

DSC01904.jpg

We decided on Fantasyland but of course once we get there everyone wants to do something different. I think did Winnie the Pooh pooh: first which is such a cute ride and a good one to break Lauryn and Cooper into since they hadn't been before. We followed this up with Cinderella's Carousel, the Dumbo was WAY too long by this time so we skipped it. Believe it or not I think that was all we did in FanLan. At this point Pierre took Bella to the Indy Speedway :car: and a few other things which she enjoyed. Wendy, Anthony (her dh), me and the kids went to Toon Town. They LOVED Minnie and Mickey's house and we met up with Pluto in the gazebo. Lauryn wanted to meet the Princessesprincess: so they had to get in the LOOOOONNNGGG line and Coop and I got in the short one to meet the Big Cheese as well as Tigger and Pooh. He had a blast!

DSC01911.jpg

We met up with Pierre at the Story Time with Belle which she enjoyed and wants to do again this year. From here we headed over to the Crystal Palace for lunch. Boy was there a line out there! While we were waiting we could see Cinderellabration going on. CP was great, beautiful inside, the food was pretty good and the kids, mine at least, loved the characters. Lauryn was all set in the character department, she was havin' none of that, thank you very much! Bella and Cooper were 2 seconds away from being kicked out because they were all over them, oh wait, that happened at Chef Mickey's...

DSC01907.jpg

After we ate and were back outside we were trying to decide what to do. To be quite honest, I'll be dag garn fribbit  if I'M leaving the park and I'm keeping one prisoner, I mean kid, with me. Which one did I choose? The one who wanted to get out the most. Yeah, I'm a meanie but like I said before, my fam knows me! Bella and I went back to Fantasyland and did Philharmigic. :3dglasses That show is AMAZING, probably the best thing I've seen at Disney. Unbelieveable! We did a wander around and saw Capt. Hook and Smee.

DSC01908.jpg

I REALLY wanted to do Splash Mountain but when we got to it I chickened out. Stop calling me a wuss because I AM going to do it this time! We did Haunted Mansion next and I thought it was really funny. Bella liked it but says she's not doing it this year. We especially liked the saying on the headstones, "Here's lies Fred, a great big rock fell on his head!":rotfl: I wanted to do more but let in to her and we headed back to POFQ. On our way out the parade was starting so we watched that.

As soon as we got back to the hotel we changed and hit the pool. Here they are in the hotub.

DSC01910.jpg

They make some good drinks at the pool bar! :drinking1 Wendy had overheard a couple talking and realized the were Iranian so she chatted them up and introduced me to them. They were really nice! We all relaxed for a couple of hours and then went for dinner in DTD via the boat, at Earl of Sandwich, love them! We took a walk around the shops and had fun. We headed back to the hotel and Pierre and I wanted to go watch Wishes with the kids so off we went. We managed to squeeze in Dumbo :dumbo: , FP for Buzz, Stitch :stitch: (gross) before the show started so the kids were happy. Cooper declared his love for Dumbo! Wishes was beautiful, I loved it but it was a madhouse getting out!

MGM up next!!!

I am loving this trippie inside your trippie! popcorn:: Your children are just too darling.

I enjoyed the trip down memory lane.:goodvibes Doesn't matter what kind of camera you used-the family is just as adorable.:thumbsup2

:thanks: I'm having fun reliving it and it's prepping me for the REAL TR.

Thanks! I feel silly taking pictures of pictures but I didn't get a digital until recently. It prepped me for rednecking the ride photos...:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Next park up is MGM :wizard: . Hmmmm, now that I think about it (and saw the different shirts in the pics), we ate at 1900 PF on this day. On the way to the GF we stopped in front of the MK because they were doing the opening ceremony so I *did* get to see it! Happiness! Okay, NOW we are off to MGM! This park was more packed then a jar of pickled peppers! :crowded: :crowded: :crowded: It was just horrible. Pierre took off again with Bella to I don't even know where or what and Wendy, Anthony, me and the kids went to Playhouse Disney. Huge line to get in but we made it through and Cooper decides he doesn't want to watch, HUH??!!!

He tossed his body around a couple of times, crying and all that jazz. I talked to him through my gritted teeth but no dice. We left Wendy and them in there and went outside so he didn't ruin it for everyone else. He does this sometimes, gets SO psyched up to see something and then he bails big time. He is my drama queen, that's for sure! After PHD was over we went off to find Pierre and Bella. They were over in the Star Tours direction so that's where we went. The kids saw one of those tatoo booths so we let them each get one and went off to Pizza Planet.

So, how many attractions had I seen at this point, huh, huh, huh??? NONE. I'm such a loser!:rolleyes2 Of course thse kids could have spent the whole gosh, darn day in PP. Shocker. I found out that the Power Rangers were coming out soon and that was a definate must-do. Bella stayed in Pizza Planet with W,A, and Lauryn so Pierre and I could take him to see the PR's. He totally sweats them. Here he is playing outside when it was 95 degrees.

DSC01650.jpg

He was pumped up to meet them and we got in the line for the green one, only a couple of people back. When it was our turn, get ready for it... MELTDOWN CITY!   Are you kidding me, Coop? Refer back to Playhouse Disney. Anyways, I was still going to have the picture taken whether he liked it or not. Mean Mom. Back to Pizza Planet.

DSC01902.jpg

I felt the need to drag out my usual victim, I mean Bella and take her to the Muppet 3D show AKA the Kodak commercial. It was okay, not going to bother with it this time. Off to the HISTK movie set so the 3 kids could play and they all loved it there. After a while we decided on Beauty and the Beast but grabbed TOT FP first. Great show as usual! Let me backtrack quickly to the early 90's. I went to Disney with an ex who loved all rides and felt the need to be mean to me because I cannot do them. He forced me to go on Splash Mountain, I cried :sad1: . He tried to make me do BTMR and when I wouldn't he didn't talk to me through half of the park :snooty: . I finally gave in when we went to TOT cause I was sick of him and thought I was going to throw up while waiting in line. It was awful and I was shaking afterwards but (secretly :ssst: ) felt an adrenaline rush. I was determined to do it again and went on with Wendy while the guys hung with the kids. She screamed with laughter the whole time, I screamed from terror! BUT, I felt proud of myself, I really should have gotten the "I survived TOT" t-shirt. The guys went on after us and we decided to leave witht he kids and let them stay and do what they wanted. Which I'm sure was mostly the beer stand... They did get a picture from RNR and I think it's hilarious! What's up with the hands?

DSC01893.jpg

We relaxed at POFQ the rest of the day and I can't really remember what we did that night. The next morning we had ressies for Chef Mickey's which I really enjoyed when we last went there. Anthony was sick and tired of my early schedule (already???) so he bailed. Couldn't hack it, could ya, Ant?! Anyhoo, the rest of us headed over to the Contemporary for our date with Mickey, Minnie, and the all the others. This is a fun meal, I love the napkin twirling and music, lots of action here! Lauryn shrunk into the back of her seat anytime a character came near us but my kids, you ask? They darn nearly got arrested! Bella was jumping all around them and kept grabbed their faces, etc. I don't know how many times I told her to quit it and to sit down but she was MEN-TAL  :hyper:  :hyper: ! Good 'ole Chip put her in her place, though. She grabbed his nose one too many times and he took a step back, "looked" at her, shook his finger then acting like an umpire said- you're out! with his hands. He walked away shaking his head and was I ever embarassed  . Here they are with Goofy.

DSC01903.jpg

When we were done eating we went back to the hotel and *sniff* gathered up our stuff to leave. We took the ME back to MCO and the kids just about died when Nick Hotel was pointed out to them. I'm sure we'll be there at some point in the future!!! Of course NW has No problems when it's time for us to go home... ain't that always the way?! I told everyone and their mother when we got back that it was going to be a LONG time before I went back and that I was going to do the Nick Hotel instead because all the kids wanted to do was swim and didn't want to go to the parks. Yeah, right, look what I'm planning now.

Cooper just got busted again for cutting HM hair! She's gonna be bald by the time we go to Disney!

Great TR so far!! I'm in my 20s and I love Hannah Montana! I mean, I don't have a doll or anything, but I like to watch it at night when i'm going to sleep! I could see how it sweeps the "tween" generation! But at least its better than what my mom had to watch with me when I was that age! LOL

:thanks: , keep reading! I've been looking at your trip report and love it!

Great pre-trip report!

Keep it coming Leyla! :thumbsup2

:welcome: and thanks for reading! I'm going to check out your trip report!!!

I just found your Pre-trip.

It's great!

I have to comment on a few things...I LOVE Southwest. I refuse to fly any other airline if it can be avoided.

I have a cousin (who is my Goddaughter) who is SOOOO picky about clothes, just like your DD. I always try to buy her clothes for Christmas and her birthday, and I feel like it's a scavenger hunt to find anything for her! She hates all the cutesy clothes, but it seems like that's all they sell for kids that age!

As far as Tour Guide Mike...I agree, it's so overwhelming. There's just so much info there. I need to start looking at that more in depth.

Great pre-trip. I can't wait for more!

Im just finishing page one but wanted to subscribe! I love the countdown calendar!

I tried to get TC to do the crocs but it was a no-go...so me and the kids have them and he'll suffer with his sneaks. lol

You have a beautiful family. I love how Bella (such a girlie name) is a tomboy and knows what she likes/wants and goes for it. My Ash is a Hannah Montana fan, but I think Bella may take the cake as #1 fan! :)

I see we have some of the same places for ADR's so be watching for my reports when I get back.

OMG! I am on page 4 and just read about NYC! What a crazy day. BUT I am loving this pre trippie and can't wait to continue...that said, on I go!
