Hakuna Matata: Dash away, dash away, dash away All!

Scott, I had to laugh, because down here in the South we're complaining that its in the low 40s.

I did 5.5 miles in just over 50 minutes (9:15 pace). I'm on a post marathon running high and have a renewed love of our sport.

Best,
Jennifer

LOL Jeniffer, when my sister moved to Atlanta she swore she woudl never wear a sweatshirt again, .... that did not last.

Hope to get some sleep tonight so as to hit the TM in the morning.

Scott and Lynn are snow bears.

It looks like the whole northern half of the US and our Canadian neighbors are all in for some rough weather.

Thank you for the kind words Margie, I'm doing good.

Have a restful evening y'all.

Good morning guys.

I had a great night's sleep and feel in control of my own destiny again today. I was afraid it would be a difficult night since I signed the divorce papers yesterday but I guess I was at peace with it.

Today will start with a good workout and then lots of chores.

Everyone have an amazing day.

Dave:hippie:

DAve good you are moving forward, the only way to go.

I didn't sleep Much as the wind was really blowing last night, but I did get up and hit the TM this morn, just 2 miles but it felt good.

Have a good one,

Good Morning Team! :wave2:

Weather outside is Frightful and all area schools are closed- :upsidedow

Scott- we too are 9° expecting a high of 13°, Cloudy, Windy, and they forecast more of the same all day.

Cross Training: Cleaning the drive today, but seeing I have no little guys I do not have to rush about. :woohoo:

Dave- :hug::grouphug::hug:

Jack- WTG with getting your miles in! :cool1:

Kim, Sue, & Vicky, what's happening with your weather in Canada are you guys getting any of this storm? :cool2:

WDW Marathon Weekend is getting close. Soooooooo looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting those I have not! :mickeybar

Later...

Hi everyone! Yep, the winter weather is definitely here! I forced myself to go out and run on Tuesday because I knew it would snow yesterday. After the slush and ice yesterday, I'm very glad I did. I ran on the TM yesterday - a few speed intervals. Does anyone know how to convert TM speed to running pace? I didn't make it through the entire workout because I showed up later and had a chiro assessment. I'm expecting the sidewalks to be icy so most likely will do my 3 miler before or after training. I'm going to do the workout with my chiro so he's going to see if he can figure out my foot pain.

Dave - I'm glad to hear you're staying strong. If I were driving to WDW, I'd swing by and pick you up. I love road trips! Don't worry, you'll be find with the GPS.

Margie - Thanks for the packing list reminder. I should get working on mine as well because it will be too crazy this year if I leave it to the last minute.

Scott - Glad to hear that it's warming up :)

Connie - pixiedust: How did things go for DGD at the doctor's?

Have a great day everyone!

I've been the little go-bot already. Got in a hard 4 miler, marketing, cleaned apartment, laundry and made a bowl of chili. Now some errands and maybe play with the GPS.

Dave:hippie:

Got in a short 40 minute run on Monday, and was planning to do 50 on the TM today, but woke up with a sore left calf. Been stretching and stretching, but still sore this afternoon, so I think I'll just give it a rest in prep for the long run on Saturday.

Try to stay warm everyone!

Dave...thinking of you often.

Scott, read the Panda Ramblings. I'm calling you out. I want you to be one of the warriors that share that dream with me. Join me brother, I need your strength and your will.

Dave:hippie:

Dave saw the post on FB, so I assume that is what it is, yep I just might, got to see what 2011 brings.

Been a long weeks so fay 11-12 hour days and it isn't over yet.

Okay, so I'm Dis-ing while tipsy off of two cosmos. My school friends took me out for a little post-marathon celebration tonight.

Still managed 5 miles in 48 minutes. Tomorrow massage instead of training.

Yay!
Jennifer

Happy Friday everyone! Not much of import to report - It's been really cold here so anything that wasn't cleared from the sidewalks or roads has frozen over. It should make for an interesting 10 miler tomorrow. The roads are generally clearer since the city doesn't salt or sand sidewalks any more.

I did about 20 minutes of running at the gym yesterday and a few rehab/prehab exercises with my chiro. Mostly hip strengthening exercises and a few variations on some of the exercises I do with my physio.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning Kids, Sunny day here in the high plains of Wyoming, hit the TM this morn and hope to get a longer one in tomorrow, roads are still ice covered. Lots of work to do so we will see.

Enjoy the Day, and the season.

Good Morning team

I have not worked out since Sunday. Have done some stretching for my back and neck.

My nose has been draining, into my throat causing it to be sore. Now it;'s stuffed and I'm coughing. So much for spraying my nose before I fly. I guess if it's in the cards it will happen.

I'm home today, I've had enough working and being uncomfortable. Will get caught up on stuff and relax today. Missing my holiday luncheon at work but it's best I don't go.

Love reading all your posts and Jen - never had a cosmo but I'm sure they were delightful.

Dave, no beer, better food and working out - it's the best for 2010 and 2011 good for you.

Scott and Lynn could you keep that low temp out west? It's a bit early for that.

I keep thinking of all of you on the down side of training getting ready for Marathon weekend and wishing all of you the best. Enjoy the experience!!

Take care all

denise

Good morning y'all.

I had a nice 6 miler in the mall. The mall was the best alternative since it was 14 degrees out this morning. Now I'm getting ready to take a nap before work.

I have to go into the races under trained this january but I'll be very fit. So we shall see. I'm doing a lot of 4, 5 and 6 milers.

Have a magical day.

Hi Team!

Opted for the gym last night. Wind was too strong & cold. Doing spin tonight. Running on the weekend will be a game time decision. In or out & for how long. :confused3 We had alot of snow, hardly anyone shovelled & now the sidewalks are not runable unless you want to break an ankle.

We have got off really lucky this year with regard to training on dry roads & warm temps but this week just confirms that Goofy will be my last Jan. race for a few years.

Jen, Got to love the cosmo. My favourite drink.

Have a great weekend everyone. We have another action packed schedule as usual..............Sue

No kidding! In my neighbourhood, there will be two or three houses that really made an effort - the sidewalks have salt and are dry. Other houses have a sheet of ice in front. :sad2:

Good morning y'all.

Today will be crosstraining since my achillies has been acting up a little. I need to go buy a bag of frozen peas since I left the others in the old house.

I'm trying to decide what to do with the 3 days off I have next week. That is when Erica and I usually went to Gatlinburg for our anniversery trip. I don't wanna go there by myself but I would like to do something.

Have a magical day.

Hi Team! :wave2:

Weather outside is still Frightful :goodvibes
The roads and walkways are a mess with snow & ice.
A little warmer today high of 32° Maybe lose some of the ice and snow :goodvibes

Scott & Lynn- Lots of snow?

Scott- Hope you get some well deserved R & R this weekend!

Vicky- we have lots of snow over ice! My roads and walks are a mess
Lots of Cross Training cleaning the drive this week-

So it is the DM for my 4-miler today…do not know how I will accomplish the 10-miler tomorrow! :crazy2:

Sue- I so agree on no more races in January after this Goofy! Our weather makes it difficult to get the needed training mileage in.

pixiedust:pixiedust: Connie & Dave - Achilles; Lynn & Vicky -knee pixiedust:pixiedust:

Jack- Where are you & family this weekend? Does your DW do any of the races? :upsidedow

Have a great Weekend Everyone!
