Hakuna Matata: Dash away, dash away, dash away All!

Hi everyone! Just stopping by for a quick hello :)

Kim - My foot pain is weird. It comes and goes and it's just around the outside of my foot. I usually get it when I lift weights at the gym but now sometimes when I run. The Running Room folks suggested a gel insole (but that seems to be their answer to everything) ;) Nathaniel needs more training but I'm not sure that's going to happen. You might need to save him a few Tylenol!

Connie - I have a few Disney addresses plugged into my GPS. Occasionally, I'll just map out a route from my house down to Florida. It's many, many miles but still fun :) What did you order from Running Warehouse?

Dave - :hugs: I'm glad to hear that things are working themselves out slowly.

Jack - WTG on the 5 miles! Great time :)

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

Good Morning Team!

Vicky, Are your feet feeling better after taking the night off?

Kim, Have you done any long walk back to backs? Like a 8/16 miler or are you only doing one long walk each week?

Rainy morning here. Got 1/2 way through last nights run when the rain started. I was soaked by the time I got home. Still it's better then getting snow. Colder temps. coming but still unbelievable for Dec.

Plans for the evening so I'm going to the gym at lunch. Not looking forward to the treadmill think I'll change things up with the elliptical or bike.

Have a great day...............Sue

-3 this morn with 10 MP wind, cold and windy forecast, busy in training.

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

Cold Rain this morning before the little guys arrived, so it will be DM for my mileage today. Maybe snow for the weekend back-to-back – Really cannot complain, as November was wonderful training weather!

Connie, Well said and Dave do take this seriously
Dave? Is Erica taking someone with her to WDW, is that why you are not riding together?

:hippie: :grouphug::hug: if Connie & I were closer we would be there helping to get your new home in order and decorated for Christmas! 50" flat screen - hope you living room is huge!

Jack- WTG! not thinking you will be waiting around at the finish line watching me come in. So I will plan on meeting you and family at the WISH Meet! :lmao:

Jennifer-sounds like things are working out for you at school.:grouphug::hug:

Sue- To have even a little of your energy and motivation would be a very good thing! :worship:

Vicky-Oh My Noooooooooo I think they are talking about driving in...not walking or running in!
Better rain than snow (at least that's what everyone at work keeps saying).

pixiedust:pixiedust: Kim, Lynn, Vicky, and anyone not feeling up to par! pixiedust:pixiedust:

Vicky- :thanks: BP better but far from being under control.

Scott- btw-just so you know and it is written(somewhere I am sure) that rest is a very important part of training. ::yes::

Later Everyone...

Sue: I decided against the back to backs when my foot started to bother me. I figured better to be undertrainned then "more" injured.

Vicky, I use to get that kind of pain if I walked on uneven surfaces like the Mid Summer Nights run we did....the outside of my feet where extremely sore.

Yep Margie you are correct about the rest.

Jack WTG,

Training is over for now, back to the grind.

No guys living room is not huge since I rented an apt instead of buying a house at the advice of friends. It did make better since for a lot of reasons, I'll have more time to find the house I want and give the economy to stabalize and make sure I have a job. Also to insure another house doesn't complicate the procedings.

No Margie she isn't taking anyone with her but says she wants to drive around and find some of her on line bowling friends while she is there. I don't really care, I hate to say that but it's true, you guys are who I want to see and I can do that with or without her.

I found 4.3" screen GPS systems for $99 at Radio Shack next door to me with another $15 off coupon so I bought my Christmas present. Now I can find all of you, so anyone that would like to have a panda visit for a race I'm your bear, LOL.

It's cold here today, 28 degrees, clear and crisp. I guess I better take a coat to work with me. After work I get to enjoy the wonderful world of laundry at the apt house laundry room. Oh Goody.

Everyone thanks for your support, I'm going to survive this.

Dave:hippie:

Good Morning TEAM! :wave2:

:hippie: Way :cool1: on the new GPS! You will really enjoy it.
I never seem to be caught up on that 'wonderful world of laundry' myself!
Sounds like you are getting Good Advise from Great Friends!:grouphug::hug:

Did you see where we can now get our 2010 Marathon Weekend Waiver forms and BIB #'s now! Got mine late last night. Sorry for getting you out of bed Connie...well, not really. I was so excited I just had to share :lmao:

Colder and snow on the ground. It started snowing here yesterday.
I love the snow - I do not mind the cold, but do wish I could put the snow on hold until Christmas! ::yes::

Made it to the gym last night for cross training workout. 20 minutes on the elliptical; 1-mile on the DM; my complete lower body weight workout. My BP is some better, but know I need to becareful if I want to get through the 7/18 back-to-backs this weekend. :rolleyes1

Hagen arrived early and we cleaned the deck and played outside for an hour. And he still did not want to come in! :upsidedow

We are 'hopefully' going to the lighting of the trees at the library/Celery Flats at 7:PM tonight. It is so pretty. I know my little Hagen will be excited :goodvibes

Hope the walkways are clear for Saturday & Sunday's walks for everyon! I cannot imagine doing the 18-20 Milers on a DM. But a friend, Pam suggested I find people at the gym willing to walk with me on the DreadMill for an hour at a time...Oh sure, not thinking anyone would sign up! :lmao:

Later...

Good Morning! Beutiful day for December, 50's in the sun.
Got my Bib number
:woohoo:

Dave~ sorry things are in such Panda-monium, things will get better and you'll have a new "normal". ;)

Well I'm off to the big city~ hate going to the big city

Wow...I have been a baaaaaaad WISH member! I had some morning sickness issues with my 1st tri, felt great and even went to WDW during my 2nd tri and now here I am only 50-some days away from giving birth and I haven't checked in with you guys hardly at all! Shame shame!! I have been reading back posts trying to catch up. Some of you I see on FB pretty frequently though. But anywho...here's a brief update:

I haven't been running in about 2 months due to a chest infection that I had. I didn't think it was safe for my little one to start back up this close to the end, so I'm going to hold off on the running until after birth and I get the docs 'ok'. I am 32 weeks pregnant now and it is indeed a boy. His name will be Gage Weston...and we can't wait til it's time to meet him!!! We have already started planing our first trip to Disney and we are hoping to be able to at least do the half marathon in 2011. Well...I will probably do it and Jordan and Gage will be my cheering section. Here's some pics that I thought I'd share..

His first set of ears!!

I am now off to catch up with November...and I'm really hoping to be able to pop in more often now that things are slowing down at work. Miss you guys!!
:grouphug:

Happy Friday Team!

Another step closer to race weekend with the posting of our waivers & bib numbers. My training program has only 24 more training runs.

Made it to the gym yesterday. Taking today off. Doing a split spin/ short run tomorrow & long run (18-20 miler) on Sunday.

Thursday nights at the library are family nights. Last night was Christmas crafts. Fun time. DD & I made some really cute decorations.

Eva, Thanks for the update. Glad things are going well. Really nice name choice.

Margie, I must stay motivated so I can enjoy the treats. ;)

Have a great weekend..........Sue

EVA, KEWL!!!

Jack, Pandamonioum, very good.

Hi guys.

The old saying, "That which doesn't kill us makes us stronger", is surely true. I feel stronger each day. Soon I'll be back to full strength and then all things will be possible again.

I'm off for a 4 miler at the mall it's cold as a witches heart outside today. It's 28 degrees here.

Have an amazing day y'all.

Dave:hippie:

28 that's nothing 18 here and it might get a pinch warmed, I hope so as I would prefer to be outside rather than the TM for an hour or so.

Good Morning, TEAM! :wave2:

Chilly at 22 degree here this morning with a little snow on the ground, but the sun is trying to come out. Forecast is for a sunny 28-30 degrees when I am able to get my walk in.

Have my little Hagen this morning, pick up his Mom from work at noon, and then she will drop me off so I can walk my 7-miles home. :goodvibes

Dave- hope you had a great 4-miler! Could you post or PM your address so we can send you a Christmas card at your new home? :flower3:

Jack-
Dave~ sorry things are in such Panda-monium, things will get better and you'll have a new "normal".

Eva- thanks for updating us - we have missed you! btw Cute little Belly Bump! :littleangel:

Sue-Hummmmm your treats must be Fantastic! ::yes::

This is my new address:

Dave Kirgan
2001 Rock Creek Dr. Apt#13F
Bowling Green, Ky. 42101

Be it ever so humble....

Yesterday I learned that you don't wash black pullover shirts and black socks with new tan towels. They tend to come out coated with tan fuzz. While I was there another fellow was washing his clothes and he opened the washer and a wave of subs rolled out, he asked me if that was normal and I said it looked normal to me.

I turned on the oven to preheat for a frozen pizza and the smoke detector alarm went off when the oven was ready, so I learned how to reset that.

I need to go out next week when I'm off and hunt a cheap quilt or comforter, a chair, dinnette and a book case or to and I should be set. Oh yes a thing to charge my iPod.

This morning was super. Got up toasted a bagel made coffee, had a great walk at the mall, got gas and now enjoying another coffee and catching up with friends.

Have an awesome day y'all.

Dave:hippie:

Good morning, Team!

Vicki - Got my running warehouse package. It was Gu and Body Glide. I already had a stockpile of shoes in anticipation of the Goofy!

Sue - I am with Margie! You must have way better treats than I do!!! :rotfl:

Dave - Thanks for the address! Have you checked with Salvation Army or thrift stores or resellers for some of your items. You can find some really good deals and some nice stuff!

Eva - I was just wondering about you the other day! Wondering if the baby had made his appearance. Thanks for the update. I know how wonderfully trying the last little bit can be!

Jack- Did you enjoy the big city? Pandemonieum!

Way up here in the north there's no snow, but Houston got 3 inches in some areas! Good for me! :lmao: Just an 18 miler and a 20 miler left!

I printed out my waiver and much to my surprise, I am 10 years younger than I thought!!! :cheer2:

See ya!

Dave I am laughing with ya not at ya.

I have the feeling this will make a chapter in your book. Kinda Erma Bombeck style.

Good Morning Team!

Kim – What Connie said about ibuprophin!

Dave – :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: Congrats on buying yourself a gps - I was about to start a fund to get you one!

Connie – I am so far behind, that I did not realize it was a new month! I will get totals to you soon – I promise!

Eva - great to hear from you!

pixiedust:to all who need it!

My training has been pretty sparse, I have been getting in a 1.25 mile walk every morning with the dogs, in the dark, and this week, extreme cold (we are talking wind chill factors of -1 to -20), but have not been getting to the gym or downstairs for weight training. Today I am planning to get out for a good 6 miles after I get off here, it is getting colder again tomorrow with more snow. We do have snow on the ground, but the roads are clear. It may be another week before I get on here, but I am thinking about all of you each time I walk!

Have a great week all!

I got in six miles on the TM in 64 min. putting up the Adventures Club Christmas Tree.

Lynn went out shopping, shoes stamps craft stuff She was ery very nice and said I did not have to go so that is when I got these other projects in.
