Dave~:hippie: read your Panada Posts very interesting!
Got 4.5 miles in this morning, 40 mins. Up stairs checking :surfweb: not much over the weekend, that's a good thing. We did pick up our :santa: Tree Sunday:thumbsup2

We're booked for 8th -11th at Poly

Looking forward to the meet, BTW are there shuttles/buses to the Sports Complex?

Well Enjoy the Season!!

Jack
.

Jack - There are buses to the Wide World of Sports. Last year, they shared the same bus stops for the theme parks (at the Polynesian). There's a big sign and a CM - there was a big group that took up an entire bus and she was able to radio in for another bus. I think it stopped at GF before heading over to the expo. They run about 20 mins or so.

Thanks everyone for the:grouphug: and pixiedust:. Assuming that nothing changes after tomorrow (trying to stay positive!) then this is our itinerary.

Arrive: Jan. 7
Staying at BLT

I should get results on Wednesday. I'll post again when I know something.

Connie, I am staying at POP from Jan 7 - 11 then moving over to BWV from the 11 - 16th,

Good Morning, TEAM! :wave2:

We are still at 'The Weather Outside is Frightful!' Not taking a chance on slipping and breaking something again, so it will be an hour on the DM today. :sad1:

Went to the gym last night 1 mile on the DM, 15 minutes on the Elliptical, and 20 minutes of upper body weights...nice work out. :goodvibes

Scott & Lynn- sorry you have such nasty training weather- do you have lots of snow? :sad1:

Connie- hope the treatment using Probotics & fiber helping your DGD? :goodvibes

MaryJ- :hug::grouphug::hug:

Sue & Vicky- are you wearing the Yak Trax on your shoes when you run in this snow & ice? :scared1:

Jack- getting to the Sports Complex-Expo was easy last year. We just walked out the door at the POP and the bus was right there! :upsidedow

Kim- is your heel feeling better? :flower3:

Dave- take Connie's advise and Enjoy the Vacation! :goodvibes

Connie- thanks for getting together all the information on where everyone is staying...it's fun knowing where everyone will be and how long they will be at WDW! :goodvibes

Is everyone, like me, looking forward to Taper...:lmao:

Later...

Hi everyone!

Margie - I tried Yak Traks last year and didn't like them much. They made my running feel uneven and only seemed to work on snow. I didn't feel like they gripped much on ice. I just try to go slower when it's dark and cold out. On the really cold days, I'll head to the gym and use the TM. I have two more LR before I can taper but I'm definitely looking forward to it.

AFM - Worked out at the gym yesterday with my PT. We did deadlifting for a bit and I managed to pull 95 lbs from the floor. I had to do a few times without my shoes but I got the hang of it. I'm hoping I can get to 100+ by the end of the year but I might want to cut back on weights a little since we're getting closer to marathon weekend. The good thing is, I don't feel as sore after lifting as I use to earlier in the year.

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

PS for Denise :goodvibes

The Elm Creek Quilters series- Jennifer Chiaveini has a new book out in the series for 2009-The Lost Quilter. I just finished reading it. It is a difficult one to read, as it details the abuse-raw human emotions -the slave owners inflicted on the slaves. I cried.

But it is very descriptive on the 'Bird in the Air' (one large rectangle and 3 smaller rectangles) quilt pattern.

Have you heard-seen the pattern designed for the military? There was a little blip I caught on television about it. It was truly beautiful! :goodvibes

Good morning y'all.

Panda is in a wickedly good mood today so watch out world.:cool1:

I had a good rest day workout of cals and stretching with some weights throwed in for good measure.

Have a magical day guys.

Dave:hippie:

Flying by. Busy at work.........Good Afternoon Team!

Took last night off. Running tonight.

Margie, Haven't tried Yak Traks. I just take it slower.

Have a great evening..............Sue

Dave, Glad there's a happy Panda!

Sorry to everyone with snow, right now we're talking about how "cold" it is with highs in the upper 50s and lows in the mid 30s.

6.5 miles in 1 hour (outside), and 15 minutes of strength training at the gym. Long week at work, I'm tired; the kids want Christmas; and only 2.5 days left seem like eons (think the last 6 miles of a marathon that feel as long as the first 20).

Best,
Jennifer

Hi everyone! Got out last night and did my 5 miler. It was pretty chilly, I think with the windchill it was about 15-16F but I figured since the roads were dry, I might as well take advantage. The wind was really bad on the main roads but once I got back onto residential streets, it was much better. I'm hoping the roads will stay dry tonight as well.

Dave - Hooray for a happy panda!

Jennifer - pixiedust: Here's hoping the last few school days before the break go smoothly (and quickly). Do you have any parties or anything like that for the kids planned?

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

Good Morning everyone :)

did my miles this morning and enjoying the crisp salt air........

Panda ~ hope this is your new "normal" :thumbsup2

MJ~ :goodvibes just because, hope things are good.

Scott~ thanks for the email, the sea of red was incredible eh ? I've been to too many of those in my career, I remember each one by name, and it never ceases to amaze me at the bond.

Well off to the mines......

Jack

Good Morning Team!

Cold wind today. I will see what tonight is like. Either run outside or spin.

Last night was a really cold wind from the north & light snow. I can't wait for winter to be over. Oh yeah, it hasn't even started yet.

Vicky, Did you hear about the church fire in Whitby? This is the church I attend. Very sad.

Margie, Are you ready for the weekend? Thebig back to back. Then we are onto the taper. What kind of weather are you expecting?

Have a great day everyone. Keep the training going............Sue

I had an amazing walk this morning with my walking group. Here lately I've been lagging behind even though I'm the one training them. Well this is our first time back together since I moved out and got my head screwed back on straight. I didn't even realize I was pushing the pace till they pointed it out to me. Today they were struggling to keep up with me again, that hasn't happened for a long time. We did a 10K walk in around 1:12 on a very hilly course with 18 degree starting temp. These are guys that are winning races on their own now. Good chance that my guys and I will be the Ky and Tenn racewalking team that goes to the National Senior Olympics in 2011.

Wickedly happy panda:hippie:

Yes Jack way too many, never a dry eye here. My Blue Light shines.

In supervisor training for the next 1.5 days..... Fighting some admin issues, and making progress.

I was able to hit the TM this morn,

just

Hi TEAM! :wave2:

Christmas is so close – 7-days! I am totally not ready! :headache:

Checked out the Mall Walking just in case the roads and walkways do not clear up before this weekends long walks. I cannot imagine 20 miles on the DM! Thought I was doing good to do the 3.5 miles on it yesterday!

Gym tonight-

MaryJ- pixiedust: we are eagerly waiting your update.

Sue- Sorry to hear there was a fire at your church. :sad2: Was it a total loss? Our roads & walkways are a mess. I really hope we do not get any more snow or sleet. I might have to break the 20 miler up between Mall Walking and the DM. :sad1:

Dave- Wickedly happy panda- that was a Great Walk! :goodvibes

Sue & Vicky- No Sue, I am not ready for the weekend walks :confused3 I have a pair of the Yak Tracs, but I agree with Vicky it throws your gait off. Okay for leisure walking. I cannot imagine anyone using them for a long walk/run. :sad2:

The doctor changed my BP meds again - hopefully this one will work better. :goodvibes

Hope everyone is having a great day- Connie, Dave, Eva, Jack, Jennifer, Kim, MaryJ, Sue, Vicky, And Denise & Mark, Scott & Lynn :goodvibes

Later...

Come and Share my Happiness!!!:yay:

The results are in and the biopsy was NEGATIVE!!:cheer2::yay::cheer2:

Now, on to the 10 miler on Saturday!

Thanks again for all the good thoughts and prayers!

Mary J that's great news.

My day went to hell in a hand basket. I lost my wallet at the market and since no one turned it in I had to canx my Check and Credit cards and get new ones sent. I can't get a new driver's license till monday and I have to get a new Military ID card, not sure what kind of fish flip that will be.
