Hakuna Matata: Dash away, dash away, dash away All!

Good morning, Team!

DGD has some answers and a plan. The new doctor has her doing some different things to see which one works for her. If none of them are successful, she will need to see a surgeon to remove some scar tissue. Thank the Lord, we have a place to start to resolve her problems.

It's been cold here, too. Makes training harder for sure. I am worried about finishing the Goofy. I have tendonitis in both feet, now, but I am getting my back to backs in, I just hope it's enough.

PD to everyone with aches and pains.

Dave - Good luck with your new goals! I am sending you the best!

Denise - thanks for the thoughts. I am sad you won't be there, but I love your warm wishes!

Scott and Lynn - Soon for WDW,and a warmer climate!

Cosmos- himmmm, may have to give that a try.

Vicky not sure what you want to convert, but if you send me a PM we can work on it.

Hope I am done with company for a while. Oh wait....I'm not. Oh well.

Good Morning all, took yesterday of as did DW so we could do some shopping and have lunch together. Nice day, not much shopping, malls to crowded, but did have a nice lunch. Today is my usual Saturday routine, drop son of at the animal shelter (volunteers every weekend, his idea) then the dump run, cleaners and gas the truck up. Possibly getting the Tree today. Have to take some pictures of the farm today the old out buildings and such. COLD!:scared1:
DW is my support ;) she doesn't do the run but she understands more than anyone why this one is important to me it's kind of a anniversary for me. Plus we all enjoy WDW.

Stay warm everyone!

I had a great pool workout and bought a new ice bag (frozen peas) for my achilies and now it's time for a nap before work.

Have an awesome day y'all.

Dave:hippie:

Dave, I wonder what runners did before the advent of frozen vegetables.

6.5 miles in a little under 1 hour (9 minute pace). Massage was heaven yesterday, but I always find the first run back after one a little tough.

Do any of you know if there is a schedule for the Expo (speakers, etc.) available yet? What about a list of vendors?

Best,
Jennifer

Hi everyone! The weather warmed up today and it was quite nice :) A few ofthe sidewalks were still icy so I still had to take things slower. I meant
to do my 10 miler today but woke up late and the motivation had gone out the window. DF was great and talked me into doing my 5 mile pace run
instead. The pace was a little slower than I would have liked 10:43 m/m but I think that was due to the first icy mile :) I did pass another runner who was flying by like there was no ice!

Jennifer - I think that Team Hoyt will be at marathon weekend but I'm not sure if they're running or speaking as well.

Gotta go! Will catch up with everyone later

Hi gang!

Got in 8 miles at the gym yesterday. Woke up during the night with a sore hamstring, but it's feeling better now.

Dave....hope the peas do the trick for your Achilles.

 to anyone else with injuries.

I would appreciate prayers and good thoughts on Tuesday. I am going to have a needle biopsy on my breast. I'm trying to stay positive about this, but I do have a family history of breast cancer. I'm feeling strong now after being sick in October, and just don't want to have anything interfere with the race in January. Thanks!

Mary J:hug:

Kimmer I don't know we aren't talking much right now.

Margie you call me when you arrive at Disney. For Margie and everyone on the team my cell # is 270-303-0014. Please everyone stay in touch so we can find each other.

I slept well last night but didn't wanna get up this morning. The freezing weather is gone but it's pouring rain now. I'm off to the mall for my training walk. I need to get a camera now so I can start doing pictures. Erica has always handled that so I need to learn. I need a printer also.

Have a magical day y'all.

Dave:hippie:

Good morning Everyone,

Kim - did you locate your itenerary package? You might call Disney and find out what's happening! The 15% discount on a massage is at the Niki Bryant Spa in the Grand Floridian.

MaryJ - Lots of PD for your biopsy! Been there, done that. Keep a positive attitude and be prepared to give it your all regardless the outcome!

Margie! Is it warming up? Maybe we should try to get together for that last 20 mile push! Wish, wish, wish, we could.

Dave - Still got your cell from last time.

Jack - Sounds like you hve a wonderful life! Better than the movie, even!

Jennifer - what can I say? Go girl, go!

Out today for a short walk, just 4 miles. Not so cold, it's clear up into the 40's or 50's today.

Mary, our thoughts for sure,

Dave Printers are sooo cheap now a days you can get a new printer cheaper than buying replacement ink.

We had the office party here at the house last night, it was a very good time, recovery day, Lynn and I worked out if's and's and but's off LOL, Thought I would sleep a long time this morn but no up at 0600.

Got a wood working project I have to get done and help a fiend with a Bar top.

YEsterday when we walked the dogs the wind just about blew Lynn over, she had to draft me to get home. Really.

Good Morning Team!

Sorry I was absent for the whole week, maybe after the Christmas cards are done, and all the packages are wrapped I will get a chance to get on the computer in the evenings!

Well team Mike and I have decided to shut down our long distance weekend. Both of us are dealing with injuries and figure as long as we keep moving we will get through Marathon Weekend. Mike's reasoning was undertrainned might slow us down but being injured will stop us. And I have to say it makes sense. We are planning just 5K walks through the week and a few
10K's on weekends and those depending on how we feel.

I am counting on cheering and adreninline to get me through these races....oh ya and pain killers :thumbsup2

Kim - I am with you here! My longest walk has been 8 miles, and that was the TOT race! At least I only signed up for the half!

Dave -:grouphug::hug: again for you! Sounds like you are doing better every day!

Mary J -:grouphug::hug: and Pixie dust for you also! We will be thinking of you on Tuesday!

Jennifer - Congrats on your marathon!

Scott has been keeping you all up to date on what has been happening here, we are in a spell of warmer weather - but the wind has been fierce. Today I think it is supposed to get up to 40 degrees! We just might get in that longer walk/run today.

Have a great week all!

Lynn can't wait to hang out with you and the wild man next month. We have to do some opening of the parks together and a night trip to the Magic Kingdom like last January.

I had a nice mall 4 miler, felt very strong.

Dave:hippie:

I ended up on the TM, Lynn is braving the elements

Hey Everybody!

No sidewalks or walkways are cleaned so it is 8-miles on the DM today!

Connie- PTL

Later...

Hi team! It was a cold and wet morning - but above freezing so I went out for my 10 miler. It started to rain part way through but I have to say that there were so many people out and running. I ran the same 3.25 mile loop and then there was the short distance back to my house. Socks were soaking wet (and brown) by the time I got home but I was glad to have gotten in the miles :) Then showered and had to rush off - I'm spending the afternoon with DF's grandma so his parents can go to a holiday party.

Connie - Great news about DGD! Sounds like progress is being made. We need to get a HM team pic! I'll be arriving on the 6th and staying at the Poly. Btw, have you tried soaking your feet in a mini ice bath. I know, not the thing you want to do in the winter but I've found that it helps when I get foot pain.

Lynn - Oh yeah Christmas cards :rolleyes1 I still need to get some gifts for the trainers at my gym. I haven't started yet :sad2: Good for you on getting outside today!

Dave - Got your cell phone! I won't have too many roaming minutes though (our cell phone service charges something like $1/min). Definitely will see you at the Pop meet!

Margie - WTG on your 8 miles! That's tough on the DM! Thanks for all the pixiedust: you've been sending my way! I think it's working :thumbsup2

MaryJ - and pixiedust: Keep us posted!

Jack - Gotta love the support from the significant other! They're always a big help when the going gets tough!

Have a great day everyone! :wave2:

Connie, Thanks! I'm staying at All Star Sports, Sat-Mon. If I'd realized so many of us were staying at Pop I would have booked it instead.

Vicky, There's a great joke/quote in the latest Runners World about how running in rain makes you think the same course is 100 times easier in dry.

10.5 miles in 1 hour 35 minutes, about a 9 minute pace. Speed is come back pretty nicely as is stamina. Still keeping fingers crossed for that BQ at Disney. May need a little team support and pixie dust to help.

Best,
Jennifer

Ok I have 3 days off ahead of me so I'll start with a trip to the health club and maybe later I'll do something exciting like making an appointment for a haircut.

Have a magical day y'all.

Dave:hippie:

Mary definatley in our thoughts and prayers:hug::hug:

Connie: I finally got through yesterday and they said it was printed on the 26th and I should get it soon.....I hope so:confused3

Dave: I ment you are you still coming in right after the new year??? We don't arrive until the 7th

Hey Guys!

I have arrival dates and resorts for:

Margie
Connie
Vicky
Jennifer

I have them posted on the front page for those interested. If you want to be included, just let me know!

MaryJ- Still praying for you.

Kim - Those feets won't stop us! -- I know your arrival date, where are you staying?

Dave - No plans? How about visiting old friends?, or doing Christmas Cards, or shopping? You could always use this time to plan your new adventures...I mean in writing with a genuine plan for success! Go out with some buddies! Make some new friends. Join a new church! There's a whole world out there, join in!

Lynn and Scott - Sorry your weather is so uncooperative.

I hope everyone else is doing well! I know this is a super busy time of year for everyone, but we would love to hear from you!

Happy Monday Team!

Took Sat. off. It was DD birthday party.
These were the girls :jumping1: This was me

Like Vicky, I ran in the rain/ freezing rain/ sleet/ snow on Sun. It wasn't too bad.. I opted to get wet then run for 2+ hours on the tm.

Mary, pixiedust: & prayers to you.

Have a great day everyone.............Sue
