Renting is expressly allowed in the POS.

Thanks Dean. Glad I had that wrong.

Sammie, I only rented once but I may find occasion to rent again in the future. I think we have just a few too many points, if you can believe that! I would prefer to rent only to friends and family but they don't seem to appreciate or have the money for Disney!

I am planning my first trip home this december. What is included in the Extra towel package for $6? Is it just 1 towel, hand towel and washcloth or do you get 4 of them.

I believe you will get another 4 bath towels, 4 hand towels and 4 washclothes. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

cobbler is correct. 4 of each for the $6 fee.

I think Jim Hill is a figment of my imagination
There is a Jim Hill (of Jim Hill Media) who writes articles about Disney. His name pops up on these boards from time to time whenever he has published a new article about some interesting rumor about Disney.

Wow, I wish I had that much faith in people as you do.

You would have to be the biggest sucker in the world not to verify that your reservation was valid. Even with a travel agent, I still check my reservations individually... if you don't, you have only yourself to blame if they are screwed up or you get screwed.
Actually, verifying your ressie isn't worth a warm bucket of spit. A DVC owner could make the ressie, fax a copy of it, let the renter confirm it independently and even exchange birthday cards with the renter. But there is absolutely nothing to prevent the DVC owner from cancelling at any time after that, leaving the renter waving a useless confirmation at the front desk CM on the day of arrival. Having a contract would possibly provide some legal recourse, but it wouldn't fix that particular Disney vacation....

Or, is that a bucket of warm spit. Hmmmmm. You have me wondering now. ;)

renting points is a trust game, if you feel comfortable in the transaction then rent the points, if you dont feel comfortable renting points from someone, find some else to rent the points and if you dont have trust in renting, then paying cash thru disney would be a better deal. :thumbsup2 ;)

Back to the subject about calling MS about how many towels you get in a 1 bedroom according to the Members guide book with a max of 4 people or according to MS max 5 people with the 5th person under the age of 3. :teeth:

just a few suggestions or ideas:

1. you could pay for an extra set of towels
2. you could ask very nice, a house keeper in the hallway for an extra towel :wave2:
3. you could do what everyone else does, take a few from the pool  :lmao:
4. you could rent more points for a 2 bedroom and get more towels then you need. :thumbsup2

Hope your trip is full of endless towels :hippie:
