Putting April down on my calendar for the Ladies' weekend out to the Land!!!

If you guys can get a good rate at HoJo - I recommend them. They have two pools, and it's nicely landscaped. You can either take the ART or walk. It's really not that far.

The Ap holder rate for hojos is between $92.65 per nights, and $109.65 per night. Depending on the room.

Already on top of it, Beth! :thumbsup2 I emailed Willie already, but don't think he works weekends, so I may know something by early next week.
Great!! Thanks Callie. :thumbsup2

That's better. Every little bit helps, especially for those who might not have or want a room mate.

Speaking of which, the thread is up for roomies and so far we've had one person sign up. But we need more. I know it might seem odd to room with someone you don't know but it will help save money and you might make a great friend.

I know I did on the WDW trip. :)

Either that, or he can't wait to get rid of you..... :rolleyes1

Possible, ha ha.

As an adult, I've been to DL now three times. 8.5 total days (2 one-day trips, then our last one). As a child I went once with my dad, and once with mom and then-stepdad. The mom trip was a surprise for us, at the end of a Grand Canyon trip at Thanksgiving-time...we drove from the Bay Area, and the WHOLE time brother and I begged to go to DL, and were told no no no no. On the way back up we continued our reign of "pleeeeeeease" terror, tried one last time when we saw the sign from the highway, and suddenly stepdad turned onto the offramp, and it turned out we had reservations at DLH the whole time...it was great. :upsidedow

Have not yet been to WDW, despite having aunt, uncle, and cousins in the Daytona Beach area and Orlando. One cousin worked for the Disney Store when it was owned by Disney, and she and her friends used to go to WDW to just hang out at various resort common areas. I don't know how I've managed to not be there, but we're going to focus on getting out there after next fall, once our DL APs run out.

Molly, I love your story about the surprise trip! How fun!! And what a great memory.

Hopefully you'll be able to make it to WDW one day soon!! :wizard:

This looks like it is going to be a blast!!!!!

So I have a question for everyone, (mostly cause I am nosey and I love getting to know you type questions):

How many times have you been to Disneyland, WDW or any of the other Disney parks?

I have been to DL at least once a year my entire life and had a AP I use very regularly for the past 6 years going on 7. How about you guys???

My first time to DL was in 2003, second time there was April of this year. I've been to WDW once as well, but we only went to the Magic Kingdom and that was in 2004.

You can add me for a weekday and maybe a weekend night.

I think my first visit to Disneyland was in 1970 and I have been a passholder for more than 10 years. I don't know exactly how many times I have been, but would guess about 150. I have been to WDW three times and have been on Disney Cruises three times also.

And my name is Lesley.

Now we know who to go to for a cute logo thingy to put in our sigs..... ;) :rotfl2:

Add me, please. I'll meet everyone there! Won't know until closer to the dates for exactly how long. A girlfriend of mine and I were talking about a girls only trip, too, so maybe I can sway her to go then!

I have been to either DL or WDW too many times to count. Growing up, either I and/or my Dad lived in So. Cal. and my Grandparents lived in Florida.

I have been to WDW three times and we are planning another trip next year for late fall early winter.:santa:

I have been to DL too many times to count. I grew up in Corona, CA and still visit family that lives there a few times a year and we try to make a trip every time to DL. Our next trip is in January. :woohoo:

Just noticed there was an aspect to the question I missed.

Although I haven't been to the other parks, we want to. DH is half Korean, his dad was in shipping (after the Navy and Merchant Marines), and he spent quite a good part of his childhood in Asia. DH went to middle school in Taiwan, did Boy Scouts camping on Okinawa and when a typhoon loomed near, the Marines at the base took in his troop. He worked in Singapore, and of course spent vacations in Korea.

When we were first planning our wedding, I wanted a traditional Korean Buddhist wedding in Korea, and we would honeymoon there and have a little trip to Tokyo (his Korean family is NOT a fan of that nearby country and we would have had to sneak there), but ultimately his mother wouldn't help me (she's not a big fan of ME, either) so we scrapped the Korean wedding. But we would still love to visit!

Recently I read a trip report from Disney Sea (and Tokyo Disneyland) and both of us are almost desperate to go there now. It looks AMAZING. And since it costs so much money and time to get to Asia, we figure we'd just plan a big trip and go to Hong Kong Disney as well, along with all the temple visiting and such. :upsidedow

And of course when we're able to visit Europe (for me it would be again, for DH and DS it would be for the first time) a trip to Disney Paris would be needed to split up the intellectual museum-visiting and such. :rolleyes1

Sorry I'm so talkative, but yesterday I couldn't talk much, b/c DS fell backwards onto the base of a clothing rack (from the ground) and we went to the ER in an ambulance. Once they cleaned his head up, they saw it was a TINY opening in his skin, no bone involved, and if a concussion only the slightest one...but it was SCARY. I couldn't stop crying, while at Target where it happened (he had tried on mittens that were "tied" together with that plastic thing they have, and DH helped him try on a hat...DH was trying to get the hat off but it was tickling DS, and as DS squirmed and giggled, he fell, and b/c he had the tied-together mittens on, he couldn't put his hands out to the sides to stop the fall (nightmare) and bam), while in the ambulance where he couldn't see me, and even at the hospital, and then once we got home I was just a fountain of tears for *what could have happened*.

So now I'm making up for the lost posting time, since DS is totally OK today. Whew.

Love that sign. Showed it to DH, and he asked what I had done, to get onto a "wanted" sign.:upsidedow

Awww!!!!:grouphug: :grouphug: Im am so glad he is okay!!! Those head wounds bleed like the dickens, dont they? My dd fell in her brothers room, and her top teeth gouged into her lip.. She was screaming, and spitting out blood... and what looked like chunks of her tongue.. Thankfully it wasnt her tongue, it was just the way it looked... But I woke dh up screaming my head off.... He is my calming presence!! Without him around, I would be a nervous wreck!:lmao:
