5:30. Ack. Then again your son is older, and not in need of adult assistance, yes?
Yeah, he'll be 13 in Dec. The funny thing is he doesn't even have to wake up that early. The school bus comes at 7:25. He's just a morning person and would rather go to bed early so he can have his morning time to do what he wants and not rush.

Since I don't go to bed until almost 2 a.m. he sets his own alarm and gets ready, then he'll wake up his sister and they'll eat breakfast and wake us up when it's almost time for the bus. Usually around 7:10 or so.

He's been waking that early for a long time. Since he was little. Weird kid. LOL I am not a morning person so it works out great for us that he is, and doesn't need us in the mornings other then for a short while.

I hope everyone is having a good day today. My DH is off so we went to the Rio for breakfast, and then to the Disney Store to do some shopping. A person can go broke in there!! But I was good since I just bought some stuff online. ;)

Good thing I was, because when I got home there was a coupon for 20% off either at the store or online. So now I need to go back and get some of those things I resisted today. :rotfl:

Oh, and don't forget. Poll closes tomorrow!!

Yep!! A whole lotta fun!! :thumbsup2

Indeed...

Oh no my DH watches that show!! I run when he watches it, but can agree there is some good looking guys on that show.

I just got a new job and I think I need to go to DL next week to celebrate but WOW gas is getting HIGH!!! I guess I will just need to bring more snacks ;)

 That is Tealc!!! :sad2: I thought everyone knew him!:lmao: just kidding, he is a guy in a show that I like a lot... But my favorite, by far...:cloud9: Yum!!

Oh yeah, right. Teal'c. How could I not know..... :rolleyes1

 :rotfl2:

Speaking of shows, tonight is Survivor, CSI and ER. My favorite night of the week. The kids are finally in bed, so I'm off to chill with the tv. Have a good night all! :)

Got back from DL about a half hour ago. Had a great time. Arrived right after opening..and the park was all but empty!! We didn't do NEMO since it was the only ride with a line. We were there from 9AM to 6PM and rode 18 different rides, several of them many times, saw Muppets and Bugs, had a leisurely lunch....and never felt rushed!!!! Longest line we did wait in was Indy, and it was 9 minutes. Good time!!! Parked in Timon today. Never did that, liked it.
I go again for two days Dec. 10 and 11...can't wait!!

How are all of you ladies? I see that May is still winning....c'mon any on the fence...pick April!!:)
I am trying to think about budgeting for this trip. I think sharing a room would be great..but do you think that there will be any chance a person who is likely to only stay 1 night/possible 2 would have a chance of being able to choreograph that?
Boy, that was awkward and nonsensical. I guess the question is , are any of you thinking of only Sat/Sun? I would be THursday/Friday. Oh, and I do snore, but my toes are nearly hiarless!
Amy

I actually am looking at only doing Thursday/Friday because I have the Faire that weekend (pretty much any in April or May), I think a few others said the same so I am sure we can get something worked out. I know I would love to stay down there so I can make it to opening at least on Friday, because I don't think I have ever done opening at DL. I don't snore, but stay up late and hit snooze a lot in the morning.

I think we need to create a getting to know quiz about your habits, sleeping patterns, Disney style, etc. That way we can hook ourselves up with some one with like interests and those that are all about getting to the parks super early, with maps, plans and organization in hand, with plans for naps and a nice dinner and early to bed with some one similar instead of maybe a snooze hitting, haphazard, easily distracted, leave the park kicking and screaming at close and then moving on to the UVA bar to close that down until the waitress makes you feel guilty and leave kind of person.

Hey Heather, congrats on the new job!!! And I agree gas is getting high, but you deserve a little celebration for that, so bring on the snacks. ;)

LOL

I can definitely make a thread for those looking for a room mate. :thumbsup2 Once we get the dates set, I think that will make it easier for everyone to decide for certain when they are going and for how long. Which will be some time tomorrow, so we don't have long to wait. :yay:

Then we can start a thread, maybe on the Meets board because I think if I do it here it will just get moved. I can put up a list of questions to help people determine if they'd "get along".

If anyone has some ideas for questions to ask throw 'em out there and I'll add them.

Some I've got are:
Snore/Don't snore
Drinker/non-Drinker
Smoker/non-Smoker
Early bird/Night owl
Cold room/Warm Room
What area are you in (living close by might help cause maybe they could even do a mini meet before hand)
How much time do you need to get ready (probably won't work to have 2 ladies who both take 2 hours to get ready in one room, LOL)
Dates your hoping to be there (staying whole time or only a day or two)
Willing to stay off-site (HOJO, Candy Cane Inn, Desert Inn, etc) OR Stay on-site only (GCH, DLH, PP)

Again, with the room mates, the key is to save money. You don't have to leave for or return from the parks at the same time. Everyone will get their own key to the room, so you don't have to be joined at the hip.
There will be times we'll be together as a group, and times we can split into smaller groups based on who wants to do what. (for example, shopping, thrill rides, kiddie rides, DTD, etc)

I'll get this set up sometime tomorrow evening. Give me more ideas ladies!! :thumbsup2

Hey Amy! Glad to hear you had a good time. I like those kind of low wait times. :thumbsup2

See my post about the room mates. Don't worry, we'll get it figured out. Everyone who wants a roomie will find one. There's enough of us going and I'm sure everyone is open to saving money. ;) Means more for other things!

Also we should start figuring out what kind of activities people like to do to arrange meet ups and I think it would be helpful to find out who has AP's because then their discount can be used towards some of the rooms.

Lastly I think it woudl be helpful to find out how many people you are willing to room with, are you willing to cot it, have an air mattress, willing to bed share, or prefer to bunk with only one other person? That way if some one is looking for a cheaper trip they might be able to take a cot or air matress with several ladies, or if you prefer more space you can have it.

I am glad to hear you had a great time!'

I am also an April person! I will go either way, though.;) It is tied between the April and May dates.

Good idea. I'll put in there if anyone is willing to share with more then one person and if so are they willing to be on an air mattress.

Personally, I know I'm not. LOL I sleep so lousy as it is, even on a regular bed, I know I'd never sleep on a roll away or an air mattress. But some people are fine with that, so definitely add it. :thumbsup2

I think for those staying off site, it would be fun to try and all get in at the same hotel. I just know that after the parks close sometimes it's fun to go back to the pool and hang out afterwards. It's easier to do that if you're at the same place. So hopefully that will work out.

As far as meet-ups, once we know people's dates, we can start on that planning part. I do agree that a character meal would be fun!! I know we won't be able to pick a day that everyone can do it, unless we do two, but we'll shoot for a day when mostly everyone will be there.

So we should start thinking of which one everyone wants to do. I've never done any of them, so I don't have a preference.

It is tied! LOL Well, we need some tie breakers to vote today. :rotfl:

I've got to finish getting my kids ready for school now. I'll check back later. Have a great day everyone!! :)

So glad you had a great time. :goodvibes

So its still tied??

Hi Nicole! The CSI was new. It was a two hour special pairing up CSI and Without a Trace. I'm sorry you missed it. I bet they'll air it again in reruns.

Thanks on the ideas. I just know I like a cold room but my SIL is always freezing and likes it warm. We'd NEVER be able to share a room, so that one stuck out for me. LOL

If you or anyone else has anymore ideas, just say the word and I'll add it to the list.

Oh, and the dates now stand at:

April has 14
May has 12
Either is fine has 13.

So now we have April pulling ahead. LOL Why do I feel like I'm at a horse race?? :rotfl:
