I love the pictures from AK! It has inspired me to take Everett to the National Zoo tomorrow. Its supposed to warm and sunny, and I did want to get over there before tourist season is in full swing.
I have never been over to Rafiki's early enough to see a procedure, one of these days I'll do it! It looks like a very cool thing to see!
Glad to hear you're feeling better!
We are hoping our rain clears out so that we can get to the Nashville Zoo today. The kids will be really disappointed if it falls through.
It is very interesting to watch the medical procedures. I hope you do get to see one.
Ok, when I make those faces on Dinosaur, they are for real! Even though I know exactly when, where, why, and how that darn dino is coming at me, it still scares me silly everytime! My BFF always makes fun of me singing "you're scared of audioanimatronic dinosaurs!" It always gets me!
I love watching those check-ups and such, they're so fascinating! And I love Bella's pack of raisin bribe! Too funny!
DisneyJoo2008 - Congratulations on your big news! That is very exciting!
CanadianWDWFan - I love all of your NYC pics! I have GOT to see that
Disney store some day!
Disney store in Carmel, IN was pretty disappointing...I only came home with an Alice purse clip that was on clearance for $4! And the re-useable Rapunzel bag!
Then you are one of the people I am laughing at.
Jill is really pumped up for a good Disney Store visit in Louisville Saturday, so I hope she finds some good stuff. Since we have to travel over two hours to get to one now, I hope she finds some good deals for her efforts.
I really need to make sure I don't take a week off of TRs! Glad you are better.
Thank you for teaching the little ones. It stinks for the other kids in your class and for you to have those boys. Bless you for helping them. I struggle with the same problem at the higher end. Is it fair to my kids who behave to have to deal with the behaviors of the others? UGH!
I tell people who ask how I can teach teenagers that it is because they have come through the other side. Some of the little ones in our district have such terrible lives. It is much easier for me to cope with knowing that a 16 year old has to go home to a bad home than a 6 year old.
I love your positive spirit! I think that it is too hard sometimes for nonteachers to understand how important breaks are to rejuvenate teachers.
Most importantly, our Disney visits REALLY help!
Sometimes my co-teacher and I talk about these kids' sad lives, and we both end up with tears in our eyes, because some of them never really even have a chance at a good life. That's why, in spite of all of the frustrations and aggravations they bring, we have to reach deep inside and continue to be the positive, moral role models some of them so desparately need with a smile on our faces and keeping our grumblings to ourselves.
I applaud you for working with the teenagers. I think the hardest group to work with is probably the middle school group. They are all over the map in terms of their maturity, and the hormones are in overdrive.
I really do treasure my fall and spring breaks. I especially look forward to the spring breaks, for some reason. I think they signify that we can almost touch the end of the school year, and that does recharge me.
MeMom
Looking at the storms - yup me and Jackie I am sure but i hope you come out Ok.
Here we go again for tomorrow!! Let's hope the mountains help us again keeping the storm calm as it passes us and hopefully those hit hard on the eastern side of NC do not get a repeat of lst saturday. They do not need that.
I hope it all calms down everywhere!

!
Hope you continue to feel better MeMom!
So happy you are staying safe next to the mountains Pat!
The headache has pretty much gone away. My eyeballs are popping out of my head now instead.

It's definitely sinuses.
Funny, our weatherman said the same thing about the mountains tonight. I figured out the mountain thing a few years ago but never heard the weathermen say it.
Right now the models show it dying down a bit but Atlanta may get some bad stuff Jackie be careful and you get out of the weather, I will watch for you.
I hope our stuff moves out within the next few hours. We're scheduled to go to the zoo at about 9.

Out in the middle of the room, between where the characters are and where the medical procedures are done, CM's come out with animals for kids to see and touch.
This was the fella that was out when we were there.
A group gathered around to listen to the CM talk.
As you may have noticed, Brooklynn was a little unsure about things at first.
Would she warm up to the little guy and touch when the CM offered?
Would Bella touch?
After we were finished inside, we went out to one of Brooklynn's favorite areas.
She is not a bit unsure here.
I think she could stay here for an hour just brushing the goats.
Bubby and Bella saw the goats, too.
Browsing through the gift shop.
Then it was time to go.
On the train.
That's it for now. Have a great and safe day today, DIS friends! I hope to be back later today after having had a wonderful day at the zoo. Keep your fingers crossed.
