I am so glad you are okay, Rinky!
I am glad it missed you for the most part. I was keeping an eye on Charlotte since I know you and Jillyb are there.
How scary!
Yep, glad all our DIS families were safe, and thoughts and prayers go out for those who had property damage and injuries. I know there were lives lost this week due to weather issues.
Oblivious CMs are not good! Didn't they know they had a recipe for disaster acting like that??? I am glad Jill said something.
Cute picture of Brooklyn with Baloo and King Louis! That is one of our favorite Disney movies!
One of my favorites, too. Maybe #5? I have to think about it. Lion King, Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, and Finding Nemo are my top 4, I think. I don't know.
I guess I should have taken a picture of the 'gathering' of people, so you could have really seen how much they weren't paying attention.
WOW! I'm sure that's not behavior they teach you at Disney College!!! Glad you said something!!
OOOH can't wait to see how it went on Dinosaur!!!
One of them was telling a whale of a tale to the other. He was very animated about it. I think it may have been interesting only to the two of them.
Clueless CMs
I love the girls' matching outfits. So cute!
The girls' outfits were perfect for an AK day!
I wonder if the CM's ever got checked on after the report.
Who said I didn't cry at the thought of changing the cruise....it's not easy as
CharlestonPrincess knows to be a grown up.
I hope you can find those plates in Louisville
Disney Store.
They had a drink pitcher to match also but I didn't get it.
When I saw them I knew that all of us would want them...
Bad....Bad CM's yelling at my DIS friends!
What beautiful pics of AK...I do wish I was there.
Love the pic of the girls sitting together! Very cute!
More pics for you to enjoy!
While you get ready for church, I will be on my way to work...
I really need to cancel either the July or the October trip to be able to go without guilt in December, but I don't want to cancel either. Instead, I am thinking of more ways to make and save money instead of giving up the trips. My latest thought is to cancel the summer one and try out Dollywood and Gatlinburg for a few days. That would be cheaper than a Disney trip, and we could go then to WDW in October and December. I haven't run it across Jill yet, but I have checked on some nice cabins near Dollywood.
Another thought is to just cancel my room altogether and let Jill's family go by themselves. One room is already paid.
Another thought is to change the dates to later in October and maybe just Brooklynn and I go for a special time together. We'd stay from Tuesday to Saturday, and the flights are cheaper than the early October dates.
Another thought is to knock two more nights off the summer trip just for me, using a little less than one night's room money for the ticket home and saving the second night's room money for the October trip. That way I'd get to have some time with the girls, but they'd get to have some family only time, too, the last couple of days. I often feel like an intruder when John is there.
My head is swimming with stuff right now.

I'm getting happier about both the Dollywood and the October date changes as I think about them more. That would help ease things up for the best and longest trip in December.
I think everyone is enjoying the NY pictures. We rarely get to see those.
Wow, I can't believe those CMs behaved that way, good for Jill bringing it to someone's attention!
Bella looks like she's trying to climb right up the side of Jill and away from those two scary looking characters Very cute pictures of Brooklynn with them though!
Bella was having nothing to do with those guys. Not even holding hands with Brooklynn was going to work with them.
Talk about rude! I really do not like it when CMs start acting like they are herding cattle. That is why I like Disney, because that is the exception not the norm. To this day, I never want to go back to St. Thomas, USVI due to all the rude people I encountered working with tourists. Good for Jill!
Glad everyone here is safe after the storms. Gotta get ready for church!
Fantasmic is probably the worst for that. I know the crowds can get crazy there, but some of them can do some barking instead of saying things nicely. I guess it gets old night after night, and I'm sure they deal with some nuts, so I won't be too judgmental.
So, I went online just to look put them in my cart and went to checkout just to see what the shipping would be, and low and behold got free shipping for some reason Who can resist free shipping??? So they are now on their way to me I really need to work on my impulse control ......
I am going to go out on a limb and say that you are the Valedictorian of the
Miss Anita Wigd School of Enabling.
I want to get the plates next week, if we go to Louisville. If we don't, I may order them, and I will hope there is free shipping. I probably won't be so lucky, though.
It doesn't look like the woman that is in the picture with the CMs is very impressed with their conversation either!
There were several confused people, since no one really knew who was going to be next.
Thanks to Doreen and MeMom, I will have a new Mickey Tiger shirt coming home with me in June!!!! I love your positive feedback!
Michelle is right, it looked like Bella was going to end up sitting on Jill's head in her attempt to get away from our Jungle Book friends!
Since we have not lost a game in our ball tournament that started Thursday. We are off to the ball field this morning....
I'm trying to have a good attitude, my laundry is piling up, the house it a wreck, the yard needs attention, Harper's new swing set needs put together, and the ball team is having a garage sale next week.
Not that I'm complaining....
OK, I am a little.
It's a very nice day here. Perfect for baseball. I hope it is at your place, too.
I wish I would have thought of it when we were there. I could have sent you the shirt.
I'm glad Jill said something about the group for the characters and the CMs. I have never seen a character without a line! How weird they weren't even paying attention.
Have a nice Sunday in church MeMom. We're headed that way shortly.
They were paying pretty much zero attention, to be honest. I'm not really sure why they thought they were there.
Hope you guys are having a great family weekend!
Thank you! Me too! It was very scary. We loaded the bathtub with pillows and just prayed our way through. I actually thought of you b/c I hate bad weather just as much as you do. I am watching the radar constantly whenever we have even the mention of the "t" word, even if it's the middle of the night. It was so bad here yesterday though that our primary news station actually went off the air during live coverage to seek shelter. They were showing live footage from their tower cam outside the studio when a tornado formed over downtown Raleigh and headed directly for the tower. It was huge! When the station blacked out, I realized that it was going to be bad. I am so, so, so thankful that we didn't have any damage and none of my family was hurt. I love spring, but I dread this part of it every year!
Memom, you had me cracking up over the group/clump thing! You are right, that is not the way it's done anymore. I for one am a big fan of order and rules. It keeps things flowing nicely and drama free and I like that!
Me, too. I'm totally for drama free anything.
I hope you guys are having a pretty day today. We sure are. I have the windows open all through the house.
i love all the mickey NY stuff...we were supposed to go to NYC this spring to visit my cousin who is in college at Fordham University in Manhatten with my mom, sil, grandma, all of my aunts (5 of them) and female cousins (3 of them)... but the trip was planned last minute and not enough of us could go....so we are thinking of a fall trip! I must go to the NYC disney store! LOL!
That will be a lot of fun. Will you try to see a play while you are there?
Glad to hear Jill told on the "talky-talk" CMs...they obviously weren't concerned with the guests OR the CMs inside the Louie and Baloo outfits who could have very well been mobbed!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend. I am off from school and student teaching all this week so I was able to catch up and do some cleaning today instead of drowning myself in homework. Believe me, this June trip is going to be a RELIEF for me!
You will very much appreciate your trip after your year of hard work.
Well Well well it seems that it is not always the young whippersnappers that can't seem to follow protocol. These guys should know better, or at least should have been given the "update" that we are forming lines now.
I remember Jill posting that she had to go tell on some CM's at AK. Glad she went out of her way to go do that.
Good for you MeMom snapping that picture. Was it used as evidence?
Not needed as evidence. Jill spoke with a CM who made a phone call.
I feel sorry for the costumed CMs who had to do 2 jobs at once. Good for Jill for saying something about it.
Jill said the person she talked to acted as if it would be taken care of right away, so hopefully it was, for their sakes.
