Good Monday Freaps! Sorry to hear that we have all lost something important this weekend.

Also, sorry to hear your trip wasn't all that you expected Madd. I love NYC even though I have only been once. The long weekend I went was right after the first World Trade Center attack(I think 1992 or 93

) so there were ATF agents, FBI the whole shebang all over that part of town. I was actually with my girlfriend and her DH, who was CIA and his CIA buddy, so I felt fairly safe.

We had such a great time and I have been wanting to go back ever since. I really want to take the kids at the holidays so we can skate at Rockefeller Center and see all the decorations, etc. DH has never been either so we would have a blast I'm sure. I didn't go to Balducci's when we were there but did any of you all recieve their catalog back when they printed one? OMG, I used to love it when that thing showed up in the mail.

And that was back when I could afford to blow hundreds of dollars on mail order gourmet. It's probably good that they no longer print it. Another of my favorites is Zingerman's and they still mail one out. I highly recommend it if you are a foodie.

We had a really nice weekend even though I worked on Saturday. Yesterday we went to the Red River Gorge and went on a wildflower hike. It was a beautiful day and we saw pink lady slippers, dwarf irises, red and white trilliums, white, purple and yellow violets, hepaticas and others that I won't go into. The kids did so well and we walked over 2 miles(not much for me and DH but a lot for two that small) that we decided to plan a camping trip to the Smokies in June.

A bunch of our friends are going and have been asking us to go but we would never commit, but DH decided that it would be fun yesterday after we had such a good time. We did take some pics but the camera is still in the car so I'll post one later. Mtblujeans-love the pic of you and your son. I think my DS must be a lot like yours. He is so ornery but can turn around and then be so sweet the very next minute that you forgot you were getting ready to murder him moments before.
