I hate to break all of your hearts, but the World's Ugliest Sweater is back in the attic. I know you were all trying to figure out how much you could afford to bid on it if I put it on ebay. :rotfl:

I guess you'll just have to wait until fall. :sad2:

Good Monday Freaps! Sorry to hear that we have all lost something important this weekend.:sad2: Also, sorry to hear your trip wasn't all that you expected Madd. I love NYC even though I have only been once. The long weekend I went was right after the first World Trade Center attack(I think 1992 or 93:confused3 ) so there were ATF agents, FBI the whole shebang all over that part of town. I was actually with my girlfriend and her DH, who was CIA and his CIA buddy, so I felt fairly safe.:rotfl2: We had such a great time and I have been wanting to go back ever since. I really want to take the kids at the holidays so we can skate at Rockefeller Center and see all the decorations, etc. DH has never been either so we would have a blast I'm sure. I didn't go to Balducci's when we were there but did any of you all recieve their catalog back when they printed one? OMG, I used to love it when that thing showed up in the mail. And that was back when I could afford to blow hundreds of dollars on mail order gourmet. It's probably good that they no longer print it. Another of my favorites is Zingerman's and they still mail one out. I highly recommend it if you are a foodie. http://www.zingermans.com/

We had a really nice weekend even though I worked on Saturday. Yesterday we went to the Red River Gorge and went on a wildflower hike. It was a beautiful day and we saw pink lady slippers, dwarf irises, red and white trilliums, white, purple and yellow violets, hepaticas and others that I won't go into. The kids did so well and we walked over 2 miles(not much for me and DH but a lot for two that small) that we decided to plan a camping trip to the Smokies in June. A bunch of our friends are going and have been asking us to go but we would never commit, but DH decided that it would be fun yesterday after we had such a good time. We did take some pics but the camera is still in the car so I'll post one later. Mtblujeans-love the pic of you and your son. I think my DS must be a lot like yours. He is so ornery but can turn around and then be so sweet the very next minute that you forgot you were getting ready to murder him moments before.:lmao:

That is when we are supposed to go next- I still wanna see Alec Baldwin- they probably do not even film the show in NYC do they!:confused3 Who knows.....

Yes! I have recieved Balduccis' catalogs in the past- that is how I knew of the place- OMG Marna- the cheese! For the love of the god the CHEESE! I wanted to buy it all- I love trying new cheeses! I am a cheese freak.

After we ate at Jekyll and Hydes (yuk) is when we found Balduccis- well they had the street closed in front of the place and they were cooking up sausage and peppers, corn on the cob on the grill- mama mia the food! Mangia- Mangia!!!!:cool1:

My friend said OMG- what did we just do wasting our time eating at that dump when they have all this good food here in the street! Not that I can eat any of it- but OMG- it smelled incredible!:worship:

It has been raining here all day- it still is. I am glad too b/c it has not rained in a while!

We have sprinklers- but I am just glad everything is getting watered now!

My azaleas are blooming, OMG my bleeding hearts are huge- I checked on them one day and they were small- a few days later they just shot up! My Japanese ferns are popping out- they are beautiful- I love the colors in the leaves. My morning glorys seeds are popping up out of the soil- my Clematis are starting to climb the arbor-

I love Spring!

Hi all

You knoe, theres a real sad little old lady with paypal lookiing for that sparkley sweater....:rotfl:

Mad, you busy little thang you. Buzzin all over the place, I went to dunkin donuts the other day but had to leave, they were out of pink donuts or all things, how very very disappointing :headache: oh well, I guess I will just have to do without for now...

Hi to all; both here and lurking! ;)

I love hearing about the rain! We are supposed to have rain tomorrow and we need it! As soon as the snow melted, everything just went straight to dry and dusty.

Sounds like everyone has been busy....I love hearing about what other people get to do in their travels and their community. As for us, we spent the weekend fencing....no fun there, trust me! I spent Friday and Saturday cooking and baking for the guys and Sunday I was cooking, baking, and went out to help take the old fencing down. But, it needed to be done and now we are glad that part is over. We will probably be doing more in May....then the risk will be getting sunburned.....all of us fair-haired mole people! :rotfl: I told DH that I feel like we are mole people because it is taking so long for the sunny/warm weather to make its way here and we are used to being inside.

Everybody get their rest and take care of themselves....so the summer will be fun and enjoyable.

OMG Susan!! I really thought you meant--- FENCING! As in the sport of fencing!:lmao:

I was going to say- no fun!?- that sounds kind of cool:rotfl2:

They had a Fencing Academy in New Hope PA, it might still be there and I thought that was so cool- I always wanted to pop my head in and check it out when we would walk past it.
