Just wondering if you are allowed to eat on the buses, boats, monorail, etc. ? Like if we grab some portable breakfast from the food court and want to eat on the way to the park? TIA

Okay, thanks for the responses. I guess we'll grab something and eat while standing in line waiting for the park to open... Otherwise we're gonna be waking the kids up at 5:30AM if we try to fit it in before leaving the hotel. and still allow 1.5 hours for transportation before a 8AM EMH opening.![]()
1.5 hrs for transportation? Why? If the park opens at 8am, for EMHs, you need to be out at the bus stop by 7:15ish..that will get you to the park well before the park opens.Okay, thanks for the responses. I have seen the signs saying this when on the Buses, however I have not seen any signs on the Monorail or the Boat along with any announcements on either one saying food is not allowed.Adding to the above response... please don't eat or drink on the buses (or monorails or boats). There's signage prohibiting it, and the drivers/operators are responsible for the mess left behind by passengers.
If you are allowing 1.5 hours for getting to the park by 8 a.m doubt that the buses will be running at 6:30.
Thanks so much for the timing info! Someone who was there recently told me that it took them 1-1.5 hours to get from their hotel to the parks. But they are not the earliest risers and I think they also went during a peak time so that prolly makes a difference. Unfortunately we arriving from Canada and are very limited in what we can take across the border, so short of surviving on granola bars we are going to have to use restaurants.
You can take food on the bus - just don't eat it.
I went to Earl of Sandwich for take out. Went on the bus back to my resort - the driver wanted to know if I was going to share with him.
So if you want to take food with you on the bus and eat it at your destination there would be no problem. Just don't eat it on the bus.
If your staying at a deluxe or moderate you will have a mini fridge in your room. What we sometimes did was go to the food court or the grab n go and get a few cereals, some milk and fruit so we could do breakfast in the room. You could also alternate and have one adult fetch the breakfast & coffee while everyone else is getting up & dressed etc.
Another option is a grocery delivery service, we use wegoshop and have had terrific service. Ordered water, juice, snacks and breakfast foods for the room and it was well worth the delivery fee IMHO.
ITA with the PP's we just returned from a stay and although some of the mid day trips and the DTD buses were slow at opening and closing the buses were frequent.
If you are allowing 1.5 hours for getting to the park by 8 a.m the buses will not be running at 6:30.

Disney Buses on average run every 20 minutes from all WDW onsite resorts. Resort guest bus stops feature signs with the destinations that are available and the bus marquees will indicate the buses' main destinations. Listed below you will find some of the general information regarding bus transportation from WDW hotels (including Swan and Dolphin). Character Breakfast buses start running at 7:00am, and run approx every 15 minutes. They have the flexibility to allow direct transportation to the theme parks, and area resorts.
