So I heard that this ride goes backwards...Does it drop backwards really fast or is it kind of slow?

There is no backwards "drop." When you start going backwards you are going slowly down a hill and then level off. You pick up speed and make a sharp turn to the left and start into an upward helix. Oarts of the backwards portion are very fast bu there is no "drop."

It does not go upside down. And the ride is very smooth. Not jerky at all.
