Patsy, I always wondered if you have a book that has "interesting questions to ask" as something to help you every day! You make up good questions. I like reading answers, but don't always come here. I imagine that you find out lots about other people in your pen pals threads. Is that thread more interesting to you? Thank you for your work.

The pen pal letter swap is fun in finding out information about your pen pal, but not much goes on in information exchanging since we try to keep most information confidential between partners. So this is a fun thread for me to continue.

Just a couple of minutes past due. Joe was leaving for the weekend for the deer lease and wanted to see him off before I sat down at the computer.

So, the question of the day is:

Not counting a Disney theme park, what is your favorite theme park and why?

My favorite is Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. Every time I have been there it's been clean, it reminds me of the way Six Flags Over Texas used to be back in the 60's and I like how it's incorporates a water park along with an amusement park.

I think my favorite theme park is probably Universal Studios IOA simply because of WWOHP. I was fortunate to go before it was open to the public and all the craziness happened and it was the best thing ever. I really like the parks too, they're always clean and very exciting.

I also like Six Flags in Saint Louis, MO because I have lots of fun memories from there and it's the closest theme park to me I have a soft spot for Kings Island in Mason, Ohio as well because I rode my very first roller coaster there!

I would have to say Hershey Park. It was quite nice when we went and I can't wait to go back... although, I won't be able to ride many roller coasters this time, unless I want to ride by myself... someone has to stay with the kids- unless we can con a family member into going with us again!

I had not been to any other theme parks. Being isolated on this island is no fun. But, I am not the type of person who rides all those rides, and don't care for crowds, so I don't feel as if I am missing out on much.

QOTD: How do you like to spend your weekends in the Fall?


My Answer: Sitting by the fire with my DH who works nights on all weekdays (doing this now...). This makes it extra special, since he is not home most nights! Also, doing family activities on Saturdays. We make it a point, no matter what- to have family day every Saturday. Movie night or game or whatever activity we can find.

Well since i only work twice a week in the afternoons, the weekends aren't super special any more but I do what I always do, and that is curl up on the couch or in my big chair and READ! Sometimes with hot chocolate or hot apple cider. Nothing I like better than reading! I also like to go to the movies with the boyfriend but he is in residency so he's not home very often, or if he is, he's sleeping Also love board games, Monopoly is my fave!

I like to spend my weekends in the Fall going to football games, visiting craft fairs, being outdoors (after the ragweed has gone) and getting ready for the winter/Christmas season.

I wish I could say walking in the fields of pumpkin, watching the leaves fall, and such, but those types of things do not exist here.

So, watching my kids play outside, and of course being on my computer.

I too am noticing the addiction thing! I just signed up for the Christmas card one for the kids! Now, if only I had more money! I would do them all.....
