We learned a long time ago, never make plans as something almost always happens and then the plans fall through. We are much more spontaneous now.

Today is the last day of the month, so today's QOTD is-

What do you have planned for next month? Anything fun, and exciting?
Hmmm, let's see, fun and exciting. Well, we are going to a going away party for some friends that are moving to Houston in a couple of weeks. Our son, James, is coming back to visit over his spring break for a couple of days.

On a sad note, I'm attending the funeral of a friend of mine this week. She was killed in a car accident on Friday while on the way to visit with her son at college. I've known her since her son and my daughter were in Kindergarten together. She will be missed.

Went yesterday to Victoria, BC (a 1 1/2 hr ferry ride from here), and DH bought a 1952 Chevy Firetruck. It's a running restoration, and other than painting, doing some minor mechanical work, and a couple of minor patch jobs it's aged very well. So we're officially "Bucket heads" as we affectionatley call Fire Fighters. As for this month, have an couple of meetings out in the valley, and heading to the Gulf Islands for Spring Break. Have a great day!

I wish I could be more spontaneous. That is how my husband likes things to be.

Sounds like a neat project. Have fun with it, and have a nice trip.

Wow, it is already March. This year is just flying by.

Today's QOTD is-

Do you feel as if you are open to learning about other people's cultures? And if so, are there any particular cultures you are wanting to know more about?

Right now, just one thing: my niece Samantha is the lead in her school play. It is some kind of "great Americans" thing--not a play anyone has heard of, but she does have the lead! So I'm taking the day off (March 18th) & Dad & I are going to see her! Can't wait.

I'm open to anything--I love hearing about how people do things. No particular culture right now.

Things planned for this month? The only thing planned really is visiting my new niece/nephew when he/she is born hopefully this month (he/she is due at the end of the month so it might happen in April.)

I am always open to learning about other cultures. At school we teach various cultures. I am moving into a new year group next year so am learning more about Indian and Chinese culture at the moment which I will be teaching.

None that I knew of. At my daughters' school they have a couple. I feel so bad when people bring cupcakes for their birthday, because the peanut kids can't have any :(

On a side not, it looks like my dd6 broke her arm :( Just a small hairline fraction right at her elbow... poor kid
