Me crafty?

The closet i ever came was putting a card making CD in the computer, picking a card and printing it out on card stock.

Crafty and artistic person here!!! In the past I've crossed stitched, painted various wooden items with stencils and stamps. Many years ago I painted an underwater theme in the kids bedroom that encased the entire room with marine life using stencils, stamps and free hand work. In Jan I amassed a huge amt of silk flowers thanks to Michaels doing a $2.00 a bag gimmie bags on their silk flowers. So now I'm doing silk flower arrangements for the different vintage vehicle clubs we belong to, and who else I think can use a little brightness to their day. And basically anything else creative I can come up with. With me anythings possible if I can come up with a concept, even paper machier "coal" for DH one year when he went to WDW on a union conference without the family.

It rained, and rained here this afternoon, and I felt so blah. Some people may enjoy the rain, but I am not one of them. I feel like I am stuck in the house, without being able to do things in my garden, the kids are not able to go outdoors to have fun..... Don't get me wrong, I don't like it when it is dry, and the plants wilt.... but maybe some rain for about half an hour is good for me.

Todays QOTD is-

Do you enjoy the rain? What sort of things do you do when it rains?

I don't mind the rain, as i am not much of an outdoors type of person.

If i am already out and it starts to rain i am in no hurry to get inside, actually like to walk in the rain. When i was a kid i used to lay in bed and watch when it stormed, now forget it. We used to live in a house that either the house or the property was hit by lighting 5 times in 8 years.

(rain = no problem, storm = i get very nervous)

That is scary Heidi. I do not like it when it storms here. Never know when the trees would fall. And once we had a bad storm, that I saw, heard, and felt the thunder strike close to the house. The house shook, and it made me nervous.

Yea that would make me nervous too.

The worst storm at the previous house, i was sitting on the sofa when the transformer right outside the house was struck.

I don't mind the rain but when the wind gets to blowing, then it's scary! There's nothing here to block it and the wind is like a freight train sometimes. And then when it gets to swirling around the house, you know it's bad outside!:scared1:

Vegetables......

What type of vegetables do you like? What do you dislike, and why? How do you usually eat them? Salads? Stir fries? Just cut up with a type of dressing?

Lets see i like

Lima Beans, Corn, Broccoli, Celery, Cucumbers, Peas, Green Beans, Peppers, Mushrooms, Lettuce, Radishes, Spinach(but uncooked only)
I will eat cauliflower, but its not a favorite. If cooking veggies I like them with texture (no mush).

As for yesterdays QOTD (was flattened by an athma attack that I've been told is going to take another 2 to 3 weeks to recover from using inhalers...great for the waistline though, as I've lost 8 lbs because of the non stop hack connected with it), I love wind storms, and the wilder the better. We seldom get hurricane force winds here, but we do get some good blows in the fall and spring.
As for Veggies, they are my best friends, and I eat them all the time. Since I live in Chinatown central here, I'm always game to try different veggies than what you can get in your traditional grocery store.

I like most vegetables. Off hand, I can only think of turnip and mustard greens as something I don't like. But I like spinach. Go figure! :confused3

I like most vegetables too. I love potatoes, onion and corn the most. I don't like cauliflower or asparagus, ugh! I like canned or fresh, I hate frozen veggies. I like them pretty much any way they are cooked!

I am picky with the type of veggies I eat. I like lettuce, cabbage, onion, sprouts, daikon, cucumbers, brocolli..... but when it comes to califlower, brussel sprouts....I do not go there.

I bought a bell pepper yesterday, and it costed $1.56 :sad2:. Just like my three dollar something-close to four dollar cabbage :scared1:.

Wish we had a Chinatown here. I like to purchase the fresh produce, and the price is much cheaper then the stores here.

Going to visit another town today. It is about an hour and twenty minutes away, and we rarely go there. Since I live on an island, we are not able to go on road trips to other states... :(.

So todays QOTD is-
Do you go on road trips? Are there any particular spots that you tend to visit...?
