Spent alot of time at the local pools. Used to psyche out my DM alot, as I found out early on that in a pool full of swimmers that the best place to swim was at the bottom of the pool. There I could swim till my hearts content. Still do laps at the bottom of a pool.

Thank you to those who had answered my daughter's QOTD. She likes to come up, or help with coming up with questions. Many times, I tell her it is something I had already asked before.... but then I realize that we do have some new participants that were not around when I first posted it. And maybe sometimes our past answers have changed.

It is nice to see familiar faces, and new faces posting here on a daily or so basis. This board is so big, and it reaches all over the world. Yet, seeing familiar faces brings a more homey like feeling, and friendship.

Tomorrow is the rummage, and bake sale that the club my daughter belongs to is putting on. Funds from the event will go to two or three different organizations that help people in times of need. We will also be helping with another well deserved organization in two weeks. It is good to know that we are able to help do our share in helping others, especially during their most important times of need. There is so much going on these days.

What organizations have you helped out in the past, and which ones have a special closeness or meaning to you if any. Maybe you have been helped by one when a disaster happened to you or a loved one. ........

I currently volunteer on the PAC at the kids school. I also am involved with the Pioneer Truck Club, and supply door prizes for each meeting. We are also involved with the Stovebolters (an online forum about old trucks that meet every couple of months), the Richmond Street Rodders a hotrod club that meets every thurs in the late spring/summer months. I like to volunteer at a local level, and don't mind helping out the Pioneer Truck Club with door prizes as I have found some really nice stuff to donate at a really cheap price (I'm a bargain hunter, and I can't turn down a good deal, but I'm trying to reform!). I don't tell jokes, but my husband is good at it.

My DH and I don't tell jokes, but we are really good at bad one liners, and if we see a funny ad while driving or on TV we'll bounce really bad ones off each other to see who cane come up with the worst one. We both have a rather dry sense of humor.

What drinks do you like to drink during those hot Spring, and Summer days to cool off?

Lots and lots of cold water, but after a while i get tired of water so i will make either sun tea, kool aid or have some diet soda.

I enjoy flavored lemonade during the spring/summer. But, it has to have a lot of ice, preferably crushed.

Definately drinks with crushed ice! Otherwise, cold water, cold sweet tea, cold Coke or a cold glass of milk.

Oops sorry I forgot to post a QOTD yesterday. This were so hectic with being a chaperone for Pool Day, and doing lots of other things.

Do you have any odd food likes, or combinations? Ex. You like to mix peanut butter with mayonaise...*No I do not...but just a weird combo. idea.

Just made banana pancakes this morning. I could whip you up some of those kinds of pancakes.
