Epcot or Hollywood Studios?

Trying to decide on something. We're going to WDW in December, but just for 3 days because it's just too stinking expensive! Doing 4 days at Universal for what it would cost an extra 2 at WDW. Anyway, our plan is MK, Epcot, and then AK. But I'm not seeing any return of live entertainment at Epcot, which is really what that park is supposed to be. We just did 5 days at Disneyland, so we've done StarWars Land recently. Plus, we hit Hollywood Studios for just a day last fall. So we thought we'd skip that one. But man, Epcot seems barren. Especially for the teens and tweens in my family. Really, we're going because it's been 9 years, we haven't done Frozen or Remy's, and I miss the Epcot vibe (if it still exists). Having the Voices of Liberty there helps - they're great! But would we be better served at DHS?

...And it looks like this has been placed into the black hole of the forum.

Well, DHS has a lot more rides than Epcot does, if that's what your family is looking for. The only attractions at Epcot that interest us now are Remy (haven't ridden it yet) and the Impressions de France film, which is shown only late evenings now, so we go mostly for the restaurants, and we usually hop there from DHS (we have APs). DHS has a lot more rides for us - RnR, ToT, SDD, Star Tours are our favorites, and I'm looking forward to MMRR in January because we've never seen the preshow.

Note - are you doing UOR first or WDW first? If you have teens and preteens who like roller coasters and other thrill rides, WDW might be a letdown after UOR....

FWIW, there has been more live entertainment back at Epcot lately - the drummers in Japan, the band in Canada, and the juggler in Italy are all back now in addition to Voices of Liberty, Jammitors, and Mariachi Cobre - when we went last month Epcot felt more "alive" than it has since reopening. Also, in December there will be Festival of the Holidays going on and I believe most, if not all, the holiday storytellers are back and Candlelight Processional will be happening.

Now, if you're interested in just rides, especially thrill rides, DHS will definitely serve your family better.

That's a good point. I forgot about that. I like all the Christmas storytellers. That should make it interesting.
