Epcot Drink Around the World T-shirts

Actually I did buy a t-shirt at F&W in 2012 from Disney. It had a picture of a glass of beer with the words "Brews around the World" on it. The picture was circled by 15 bottle caps with names of the 15 different kiosks where you could buy a beer. Where can I find the one you mentioned of Donald Duck? I would love to add it to my collection.

Cool shirt. I found a picture of it.

Disney SHOULD sell them. People are drinking around the world anyway and making their own shirts and memorabilia. They could totally make a nice chunk of change. I'd love a professional made "I drank around the world and didn't hurl" shirt! :-D

Oh I like the subject alright. I'm still not sure it fits the bill, but I'm willing to concede. I'm even a little embarrassed to find myself not supported by Disney on my crusade to rid the parks of obnoxious drunks. Maybe you are not the lude mid-day perverts that I experienced. But you definitely side with them more than you side with me. So I will leave this post.

I believe there are several incarnations of a drinks around the world shirt: my dad remembers one from years ago. I have also seen the custom ones... some are greatly imaginative.

I stand corrected. More than 11 makes it worse. So you just said that alcohol is neccesary to make your family come together. Just making sure I read that correctly. And I'm not talking about having a margarita. Also, I enjoy food. I even enjoy wine. That's not what I'm talking about either. I'm talking about making a game out of getting drunk in a place with characters from children's movies walking around. I'm talking about the drunks that I have to pass just to get to a ride with my 7 year-old. Last year, my daughter stared at a group of 8 men as they were groping this poor Chinese waitress. That's the only place she's ever seen anything like that, and I thought it was the only place in the world I was safe from exposing her to that. So no, I'm not a laugh riot. I'm just sad about the abandonment of the philosophy that Walt had when he said no alcohol in the park.

Wow, lighten up! I didn`t say it was necessary. But I have no problem admitting that our trip last year with my in laws was a lot more fun and a lot less stress because we were willing to enjoy our trip and loosen up with a drink or two. Something about sharing a margarita with my MIL and having her talk about how it reminded her of a night when she and FIL were younger, or the 2 sons bonding with dad over a flight of whiskey.
And, there has always ben alcohol in the park : that`s why he started Club 33... and, hate to ruin it, but my grandfather was there in the early days and it was all about business over drinks.

While I would never condone drunkeness, esp in front of kids, the 99% of us who can mellow over a drink or two often find it a great way to not end up as the myriad of families who are screaming at each other by the end of a Florida summer day.

Also, i am glad your DD is not exposed to debauchery in the world and sorry she had to see it at Disney. That said, it`s a great teachable moment: "well, sweetie, sometimes grown ups don`t behave like grown ups. When that happens, we walk away/report their behavior/get them help". My 4 yo heard profanity spewing out of a teen`s mouth waiting in line for Small World... she looked at me and said "He should learn new words, Mommy" *shrugs* can`t shelter her from others, can only show her which path is best.

In all my trips to WDW, I've never run into any drunks, obnoxious or other wise. Besides, are you sure that they were drunk? Jerks don't need alcohol to be jerks....

I realized what bothers me so much about this - not the fact there were obnoxious people doing stupid things, but that someone sat by idly and let it happen. If there were seriously 8 men groping a woman, why not report it? Wouldn't THAT be a good thing for your DD to see? That foolish actions result in penalties???

THIS! A thousand times... and even Disney can't keep the jerks out. (though I have seen security do a darn good job of hurrying the obvious ones out of sight)

Anyway, back to be on topic: OP, I hope you find your shirt and I wish you luck on your endeavor! DH and I drank around the World the year we had an AP... now I wish I had a shirt to commemorate it because I didn't pay attention to some of the specific drinks and we don't want to duplicate on the following trips. It did stink that F&W was at the START of our journey, but it was fun all the same! Now we have moved on to wine flights: he hates whites and I hate reds, so it's fun to share and discover new delectable treats.

My kids and I witnessed a couple of really drunk guys with an older female relative (maybe mom) in the car before us on Journey into your Imagination one later MORNING on our trip last August. One of the guys was bragging about how early they started drinking and babbled through the entire ride. The rest of his family was just laughing at him. It was disappointing to ride near these ding-dongs with my kids.

Best thing I've read all day!!!

See post 16. Perhaps this thread isn't for you since you don't seem to like the subject matter.

The language suggests the poster, to which you refer, is young.....perhaps not even of legal drinking age. Reagan era did well in declining use of alcohol and drugs. It's just a different era.

Thanks so much for posting this! I'll be buying one of these! I was there last year for Food and Wine and yes, my 29 year old DD, her friend and I did attempt to drink our way around the world. and no, we did not get obnoxiously drunk and make fools of ourselves!

LOVED the "grapefruit" beer in Germany (I can't remember the name) and the Grand Marnier Slushie in France! :) :)

Celebration tshirts make great drink around the world shirts and they make exactly what you want....we saw drinking around the world shirts last year but they were custom made.... Disney does not sell them anywhere

I've been to Food & Wine several times. I generally get there by 11, and stay until 8 or 9. I can guarantee I've had more than 11 drinks in a day, and I can guarantee I've never been "out of control" or inappropriate around families. On the other hand, I've been to the parks with completely sober families, who have whipped out tupperware jugs in the middle of the Playhouse Disney show so their little darlings could relieve themselves in the middle of the crowd without missing anything. Bottom line - idiots are idiots, alcohol has nothing to do with it.

Is Food & Wine a more adult themed experience ? It certainly is on the weekend, just because the crowds are so heavily skewed towards adults. Nothing wrong with that - it's just a fact. If you don't like being the crowds with parks full of adults, you just need to plan around it - just like people do if they want to avoid the Brazilian Tour Groups, or the crowds at Gay Days, or Cheerleader Week.

As for T-Shirts, I've always wanted to design my own. I've never seen an official Disney one - but plenty of ones people put together themselves out there. Search "drink around the world" on cafepress.com, for example.

What's ridiculous are these self righteous people who feel the need to assume that any one having cocktails must be a fall down drunk. Sorry that YOU can't have more than one drink before turning into said fall down drunk but some of us can enjoy several cocktails without turning into an a**hole. So before you go throwing stones at those who may want to relax on a vacation you should probably take a look in the mirror.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2pirate:

This whole thread is hysterical. popcorn::

But since you asked about tshirts, and not about the moral implications of alcohol, I saw multiple shirts in the gift shops with drink references. The best was at the little shop outside Mexico. It had a beer for germany, margarita for mexico, wine for italy, etc.

And you can try the passion fruit margarita while you are there

Hey if the pirates can drink and act mischievous why can't we?
