Epcot Drink Around the World T-shirts

But I have no problem admitting that our trip last year with my in laws was a lot more fun and a lot less stress because we were willing to enjoy our trip and loosen up with a drink or two. Something about sharing a margarita with my MIL and having her talk about how it reminded her of a night when she and FIL were younger, or the 2 sons bonding with dad over a flight of whiskey..

Liquor makes everything better. The secret is drinking for endurance not for intensity. That was my problem circling the World Showcase the second time, I was feeling pretty fine and thought a tequila flight would be a good idea. And like Drunk Icarus I flew to close to the sun. Thankfully I had a wonderful pit crew with me and my son (6 at the time) suggested asking the kakigori stand in Japan to flavor the ice with gatorade. If only Syd Barret had had a son like that...

Despite what they tell you, alcohol has always and will always be consumed in every Disney park. Even if I have to bring it in in bottles stored in a diaper bag (don't wanna mix those up).

Wait....what was I trying to accomplish?

You sneak alcohol into the Magic Kingdom ? What ?

/ My sister always brings bottled water in. One of them is a "special" bottle, which she calls her "Extra Magic Bottle". Pinepple Dole Whip with a rum floater is a little bit of extra pixie dust to endure that hour wait for Big Thunder Mountain.

Ive seen two - one with the signature drink and one with the signature food at each country. We've thought about getting them and getting everything on them. (these have been there all year, not just at F&W, so not specific to the fest)

Not sure where they are sold but I have seen them definitely at one of the gift shops in Germany.

I really like that Beer around the World one from F&W

Wow. I'm shocked. Really shocked...

That I never thought of that! It sounds delicious!

I made it all the way drinking around the world twice. The first time in 2005 was the best though, because my friend who traveled with, kept giving me the rest of hers too. LOL. I may have to do one this trip...But my DGF doesn't drink. :(

And to those who think that everyone who drinks is irresponsible and stumbling around all day...you obviously don't get out much..

Actually I did buy a t-shirt at F&W in 2012 from Disney. It had a picture of a glass of beer with the words "Brews around the World" on it. The picture was circled by 15 bottle caps with names of the 15 different kiosks where you could buy a beer. Where can I find the one you mentioned of Donald Duck? I would love to add it to my collection.
Germany had one that said "Got Bier?" on it with a picture of a beer stein. I bought it for my dad. :rotfl2:

I saw a few people wearing the Drink Around the World shirts as well shirts that said 20xx Epcot Drinking Team. I just assumed they were custom made.

I have to space out my drinking around the world over 2 or 3 days..One Margherita from that bar in Mexico is usually enough to make me tipsy, lol.;)

LOL that sounds delicious, I wish I was gutsy enough to do that! If my friends and I want to enjoy the Magic Kingdom after a few drinks we will usually just hit up a monorail resort bar and then head over to the park. We always have a pretty good time, as long as we avoid Space Mountain and the Teacups! :faint:

The only thing you can purchase at Disney is a tee shirt at Epcot that has a picture of a food item and a beverage that represents each country. That, in essence, can be used as a drinking around the world shirt if you wish.

Disney had a previous version that had only the beverages, and those were (so the story goes) pulled from the park because an executive thought they encouraged overindulgence. (I have one of those shirts, they were available at the Disney outlet last July.) Apparently it's just fine if you also include food.

Otherwise, the only way to get a drink around the world shirt is make it yourself, or have one made.

I have the Brews Around the World shirt as well, which was only sold during the 2012 Food and Wine Festival.

Oh yeah. Disney sells these. Really? I'm sure it includes a pic of a slurred speech, red eyed Mickey, and a passed out Donald Duck. Ridiculous.

I agree! As if Disney would promote drinking at Epcot. As if...

That just made me laugh out loud... Hilarious. :rotfl2:

Let's add the tequila flight.

I love this idea. My mother, husband and me already planned on doing something like this, but having some sort of t-shirt would be great for them to sign off. We already planned at taking pics at each country with a drink.

I love this shirt, I will probably buy this for mom and me. (Errg the board will not let post a link)

Also to the people who are worried about over drinking, we already plan on sharing drinks that way can try more without getting drunk. Also since we live in Colorado, we can drink like champs at sea level. One of the many benefits of living here :thumbsup2

I bought this shirt in World Showcase earlier this year - only saw it at the Canada kiosk, but not in any other location at the time. It's about both food and drink, and I absolutely love it! They also sold a men's version.

Heres a little tip: if you are feeling like you had one too many and want to get out of the sun and maybe take a nap. Spaceship Earth is perfect for this.:lmao: Then youre ready for another trip around.

We typically do:
Mexico - Fiesta Margarita
Norway - Beer
Germany - Beer und pretzel (soak up some alcohol)
Italy - Rosa Regale
Japan - saki
France - Grand Marnier slushie or Champagne
UK - Beer from Rose and Crown

We then go ride some rides, and go back around a second or third time later. Guess we need to add some countries next trip

My cool down/nap attraction is Ellen's Energy Adventure.
