We head out to the Beach Club in two weeks, and silly me has not yet ordered tickets (yes, lost out that increase). Is there anyway to order tickets so that they are applied to your room key, with DVC?

In other words, can I purchase a 10-day ticket when I arrive and have them simply put it on the room key?

Thanks for the help!

Yes you can! After checking in this past June, I took my room keys
along with my tickets that I bought in December(avoided price increase)
to the coneirge desk and had the tickets added to the room key with
no problem. :thumbsup2

Not sure if this is accurate but I thought I read that if you purchase more than a 9 days that an AP is cheaper?

Even with the DVC discount the AP is a good $70 more. Not a lot, but I know for sure I won't be going back in the next year. Now if the AP were good for a year and 2 months, we'd be okay.

Does anyone know the price of the AP for DVC? I would have checked the website, however it is down right now.
thanks :confused3

The only DVC discount is on AP/PAP - no discounts for MYW passes. Be sure to do the math for the pass that will meet you needs.

Incuding tax- an AP with DVC discount is now $355.71 for Adults- $313.11 for kids and PAP is $462.21/$406.83.

Just do the math for the pass that will meet your needs.

Waiting for the concierge at SSR last week, the woman in front of me was buying MYW tickets. The concierge asked her if she wanted them on the Keys to the Kingdom (room key) cards. She said she didn't have her husband's or the kids' cards with her, to which the concierge replied, "That's okay. I don't need the actual key to put the tickets on them." It was all just a matter of updating the account.

Terrifying and satisfying at the same time.

Don't let this stress you out. The difference in prices is not going to change you're experience. Yes, you may pay a little more, but all things considered it is a drop in the bucket for a lifetime experience. Enjoy. :)

Ok...this is probably a stupid question but are AP good for the calander year or from 1 year from the date first purchased/used?

Your AP is good for one year from the date of activation...I purchased mine online from home, activated it at guest services on 6/1/06, and it expires 6/1/07.

Just got back from WDW last week. We bought passes from one of the licensed brokers on-line before we went and Disney could not put them on the room keys when we got there. I was a little concerned because they seemed to be just flimsy paper, but as one poster on the boards told me, they are indestructible. Having them separate proved not to be an issue - we showed our room keys for magic hours and then never pulled the keys out again until we got back to OKW.

On another thread, someone mentioned that they can put an Annual Pass on a room key, but that most CM don't know this. It's apparently something new.

My question back to him, which went unanswered, was how you'd get your Annual Pass perks when it was on your Key to the Kingdom, since the word "Annual Pass" wouldn't be printed on it. For some perks, you just need to show your pass. They don't swipe it in the computer.

Also, there are a lot of problems with the Keys to the Kingdom being de-magnatized. It's been speculated on the boards that this is because they've ordered cheaper cards that aren't as reliable. I've not heard the same about the paper tickets.

I joked with the Guest Services cast member who redeemed our passes that the temporary vouchers they sent us in the mail were on hard plastic, while the permanent pass we'd be carrying for the next year was made of paper! That seemed a little backwards to me.

We've had our room/park cards de-magnetized in Nov. New ones were issued raw at GS at GF. We've put our park passes even when DS got his FL student park pass. Never bought APs until this trip. I would like a seperate card for that.

What is the DVC price for an AP renewal including tax?

Renewal prices are $304 adult and $268 child before taxes. Premium Annual Pass renewals are $400 adult and $353 child.

I'm always at a quandary when it comes to renewing. I don't honestly know which the better value is: saving the $30 and renewing, but keeping the original ticket's anniversary date; or buying a new ticket and getting the full 365 days out of it.

How long after the expiration date of the pass can you renew it?
My June trip next year will be about 20 days after the pass expiration.

My understanding is there is a 30 day grace period, so you shoudl be ble to renew your pass when you arrive next June - if that is what you want to do.

If you want to be 100% sure (no worries about the grace period), you can renew online or via MS just before the pass expires. At that time, you can elect to receive a renewal "voucher" or you may choose "will call". Either way, you'll have to go to a Guest Relations booth to get the actual pass and your year will start ticket on the anniversary date of the pass that was renewed.

Best wishes -

Thanks Carol! I'll probably renew because we are taking my husband's parents and brother-my DDE is good until the end of June and I want to be able to use that for the dining $$ savings.
