Decided to gamble on $5 and a few skymiles 😁😁

I booked myself a free flight today from Vegas to Anaheim in October. Cost like $5 and 5,000 skymiles. May or may not actually fly with Delta for this route, but I knew that price wouldnt get any cheaper so I decided to take a gamble.

I will just get whatever seat they assign me, (if we end up using Delta). For an hour flight, I'll be good anywhere.

Which of the airports would you be flying into? There is no airport in Anaheim, so you would be flying into either LAX, Santa Ana (SNA), or Long Beach (LGB)? For SNA or LGB, I would keep it. If it is LAX, I would try to find something better. LAX is quite a bit further away and depending on day and time, it could be a long drive (or Uber ride) to get to Anaheim. I live in the area and use all those as options for flying and will try to factor in things like time of day for traffic in making my choice.

I don't understand what the "gamble" is. Do you not know what airline you booked on? Do you not know the timing of the flight?

I was using the word gamble sarcastically. Sorry. I thought it was kinda funny, with the low $5 and 5100 Skymiles. Thats all.

PS- it is Delta.
