We are on the Dream leaving PC June 21-25. This will be our first ever cruise. My DH has read a little bit about the cruise and about the dress code for dinning (cruise casual). His definition of cruise casual is shorts, and either a tshirt or polo. Will he feel out of place in shorts instead of pants at dinner? Are shorts at dinner more common place now? He says he's on vacation and wants to relax and not have to worry about dressing up for dinner. Ugh!!

He will be fine, to be quite honest I really don't care how others dress i wear what I like and what I am comfortable in unless you are paying for my cruise you don't get as say in what I wear.

I agree with the above about temp. My son (so different I know) was most comfortable in long sleeves and pants in the MDRs (as was I).

Does his t-shirt have sleeves? It does get a bit chilly in the MDR's, so he way want to bring a t-shirt that has sleeves.

Enjoy your cruise!

My wife is always wearing a sweater in the MDRs and I find I need long pants for comfort, even though I wear short sleeve polo. So if your husband doesn't mind the temps have a great time!

The shorter cruises, that may be the norm but I just got off the Fantasy last month and it was definitely more long pants and collared shirts for men and casual dresses for ladies. I was a little surprised at just how dressed up people were every night. He can wear whatever he wants and no one will say anything but that was my experience.

Im always wear khaki shirts and a long sleeve button up. He should be fine!

He's fine. We were on the Fantasy last month. DH wore shorts with t-shirt or polo every night except for Easter. Even then, he just wore khakis and a polo shirt. You'll see people in everything from shorts to a tux. Be comfortable, relax, and enjoy your cruise!

We never dressed up, no tank tops or flip-flops, but other than that... everyday attire was fine.

Been on 5 Disney Cruises... Have yet to wear long pants to dinner... I do dress up but khaki shorts and a few button down shirts are my wardrobe... Im on vacation and want to wear what makes me comfortable

As other people have said it's cold in the mdrs. A lot of people ask why they keep the dining rooms cold. Well the servers and assistant servers work very hard in there. If it' wasn't cold in there they will be sweating in your food and drinks.

My husband wore nice jeans or khakis with a polo or nice t shirt. Some people go all out for formal night but we did not. It is optional.

I'm pretty sure that I have read that nice jeans are even acceptable at Palo.
