We've owned two Great Pyrenees (165 lbs. and 150 lbs.), and a Komondor (100 lbs.). Now we have two Samoyeds (only 70 lbs. each). And two calico cats. So that's a total of 7 animals. And 7 is my lucky number! There was a point in time about 5 years ago when we owned a total of 4 dogs who were all house dogs (at least at night) and their combined weight was 400 lbs!

Because all the ones I wanted were taken, and I didn't know I would be stuck with it forever! So I thought of my daughter's then-favorite character, Marie from Aristocats, and went with it.

Um, okay...when I was a kid I pretended to be a queen of my own planet. So I was Queen Darvet from the planet Queenis. Fortunately I live in the real world now! Well, most of the time anyway.
