Sorry, they are still a couple of bored rich brats to me.

What headline? All I needed to see were the photos of the two of them grinning like idiots as one held the dead leopard and the one where the other one is holding the elephant's severed, bloody tail in his hands. Those right there formed my opinon.
Some people go to Disney, some people go hunting. For me, hunting is a part of my heritage and culture. I will kill an animal IF I intend to consume that animal. That's why I don't duck hunt. I don't like duck meat.
For those that write hunters off a barbarians who "get their rocks off murdering animals", you need to educate yourself. Hunters and fishermen/women are the true conservationists. If you think the animals don't have a fair chance, then you don't understand fair chase.
So, when society breaksdown and there is nothing to eat in the stores, I WILL be able to provide for my family. I know how to track, pattern, and kill an animal. I know how to process the meat for the greatest yield.
I'm educated just fine, thanks. They hunted those animals for "sport" not food. Last time you ate leopard was when? As I stated before, hunting for food is one thing, hunting to get your rocks off is another.
Not food for themselves, but the meat was eaten by local tribes. Many people eat large cats. In fact the president of California's Fish and Game Commission is under fire for hunting and consuming a mountain lion in another state.
So the nation of Zimbabwe got an influx of Trump money. The Trump's got to hunt. And the people of Zimbabwe were fed. I don't see the loser in this scenario. Before you say the animals are the losers consider this- what do you think is more humane for the elephant? A high power rifle used by a trained hunter or amateur weapons that locals might use to feed themselves? I'll take a bullet to the brain over a sharp pointy stick any day of the week!
So I guess that starving to death in a slow and agonizing manner is much better than a quick death from a .338 Win Mag? Without an ample amount of their natural predators in place, the one and only way to control the population is through hunting. Without controlling the population, the animals would consume the available forage in the area in a short time, exhausting their food supply. The species as a while would then be in danger of extinction, or at the minimum a massive population reduction in a horrible way.
Malnourished game animals yield less edible meat, are more succeptible to disease, and are less likely to produce healthy offspring, which further puts the species at risk.
I hunt and fish. I have no desire to hunt in Africa as I do not want to consume an elephant or a cape buffalo or an eland. I do not have any issue with those that do as long as the animal is consumed. Any ETHICAL hunter makes the meat the priority. In many western states, it is the law that all useable meat must be packed out before the cape and antlers.
Ooopsie Trumpnuts, you maaaay be in trouble...and lying. BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Now, I have no idea how reliable the source is, but TMZ and several other places are reporting this. It seems like their paperwork may not have been in order, the green kind. Also, they are stating in this report that "conservation" and the "feeding of villagers" are two bogus claims.
It'll be interesting to see where this goes, I hope they get hung up by their ****s. Oh, and it doesn't seem like the Donald much likes their hobby either.![]()
According to Zimbabwe's parks authority, their hunt was completely legal. There is also some info about where the meat went in the 2nd statement

I grew up in a family where hunting was part of or lives, and some years the only way we all stayed fed. We would have likely gone hungry if not for the deer in the freezer. I see nothing wrong with hunting for food. It is no different than gonig to the gorcery for ground beef, just a whole lot cheaper and less processed, plus it is vital in maintaining the health of our natural resources where humans and animals share space.
The land my family hunted was designated a s aland managment track. The fish and game service came in a tracked the deer population. They set the numbers that MUST be killed to maintian a healthy population. That is right, the scientists at land management told us how many deer HAD to be take n by hunters to keep the population healthy. If the hunters that managed the land didn't kill enough deer, they lost thier right to manage the land.
I don't think many people realize it, but land managment hunting is actually NECESSARY in populated areas to maintian a healthy population of animals. Natural predators have been all but eliminated in many areas becuase people have moved in and pocketed off sections of forseted land in between communities, even in ares that are still pretty rural. Human population disrupts natural patterns for wildlife. If the prey species are not thinned, disease and starvation will follow. You can thank deer hunters in the US for keeping lime disease under control for one. If big game hunters are truly land managment hunting, and what they kill is being consumed, I don't see a problem. Killing and animal just for a trophy, not so much.
I totally agree with you. There is a first time for everything, yes?
