Does anyone use Mediacom for cable or internet services?

I'm going to have Mediacom when I start grad school in the fall and I don't know much about them. From what the lady on the phone said basic cable is 45.95 and does not include Disney Channel. High speed net is the same price, making the 2 services end up being around 92 bucks. She said that I could get digital cable (the cheapest version) and the high speed net for 99.95 a month. So is it worth the few extra dollars to have digital? I know it's a crazy price, but since I'm not going to get a phone line over there, high speed is my only option...Is mediacom any good? What do you guys know? Thanks for your help!

We have Mediacom cable, but not internet service. The digital is definitely better and it gives you more channels. The couple problems that we had, customer service was great, but you usually have to wait at least a week for a service person to come to your home if there is any major problems. Maybe it would be different in your area. Overall the selection is great and price is a little above avg. But, going to something like dish network was more expensive for us, and they also did not offer local channels with it. Hope this helps! By the way, we love Asheville! We usually go to the Biltmore for Christmas every yr!

Aw, I was just out by the estate today! My favorite little hole in the wall Japanese place is out there...I'm so glad grad school is putting me back in this end of the state, being in Raleigh so far away for 4 years was tough! Make sure you visit Grove Park Inn at Christmas time-it's really beautiful and they must have over 100 trees, all decorated differently....*sigh* I love summer, but Christmas has its highlights!
