We have reservations in August for a GV at OKW. I'm interested in finding pictures of the accommodations. Does anyone have proof that they actually exist? Thanks in advance for your detective skills!

Pete used to have great pictures on this site but I can no longer find them. :(

Here's a 360 from the Disney site.

OKW GV

We left OKW yesterday (2-20), stayed in a 2 BR lock-off, we tried for 6 days to show my in-laws a GV. There was never 1 available for a walk-through. I called the front desk every day and there wasn't any that were not occupied. I don't know the exact number, somebody on this forum will, but OKW has the most GV"s of any on Disney property. This shows how popular they are, especially during holidays and peak times(x-mas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Presidents weekend.):D

HI!

Yes! Of course the grand villa exists. I stay at OKW 2 months ago and during my stay, I asked the concierge to show me a grand viilla. It looks really nice, especially the wooden floor on the first floor. And it's really really spacious. I hope I'll have the chance to stay there with friends and family in the future!!!

Last March, at OKW, my daughter and I tried several times to see a Grand Villa. Finally on our next to last day, there was a vacant one for us to see. It was very impressive! SO...we have one booked and will stay there in November. (with the rest of NJ during their teachers' convention!)

Sorry, I don't have any photos but we stayed in one of the GV in the newest OKW buildings where the Commodore House used to be.

You enter and the stairs was a few steps away and to our right. The living room with large TV, love seat, queen-sized pull-out couch adjoins the large kitchen area. There was also a small table and chairs in the LR where you can seat about four people for coffee or games. There was a deck off the back of the living room.

Off of the kitchen area and somewhat behind the steps (in a room by themselves) were the full-sized washer/dryer. The hallway to the left led you down to the master bedroom. Just before the master bedroom was a bathroom that also had a shower.

At the top of the stairs to your right was a bedroom with two queen beds and a standard bathroom. I can't remember if it had a sink outside the bathroom itself or not. There was a railing overlooking the livingroom. The other bedroom was down a short hallway to the left (would sit over the master BR downstairs) and also had two queen beds and standard BR.

Don't know if this description helps but the bottom line is, I thought it was pretty opulent and wonderful if you're going with people you want to spend a lot of time with.

We just returned from a stay in an OKW Grand Villa yesterday. They are huge and could easily accomodate 12. The grand villas are beautiful, spacious any very very comfortable!

Just a side note: We made our reservation in March of last year and although we requested a non-smoking villa, there were none available at check in. (Apparently everyone requested non-smoking). I am pretty sensitive to smoke, and I was greatly relieved that I didn't notice a smoke smell at all.

I have some grand villa pictures in the digital camera and will try to get them online today. Any other questions, feel free to email me at bkwhitwam@msn.com.

I'm not sure if this will work, but the link above offers a "virtual tour" of an OKW Grand Villa. You need some sort of plug in on your PC, but it's a pretty cool way to get an idea of what the GV is like. We stayed in one last year and were amazed at how big it was! It was beautiful!

If that link doesn't work, I got to it by going to www.disney.com, select "vacations", then "vacation club", then "vacation club resorts", then "OKW", then finally "virtual tour". They have virtual tours of Olivia's, one of the pools, a Villa living room, a studio and a golf course in addition to the GV.
