It's almost time to enjoy that beautiful view that johnsonet posted. I hope you'll check in with us when you get a chance.Checking in tomorrow. Southwest boarding passes are printed and ready for our 615 am flight out of BWI. It's an early one, but it does get us to Disney in the morning. See ya soon CR!![]()
With a Tower room you are guaranteed a balcony and an unobstructed view. All STD rooms throughout CR are identical, other than the 2nd and 3rd floors of the GW do not have balconies. The difference in time in walking to the MK would only be about 5 minutes. But, the Tower views are amazing and it is more conveniently located - but not to the laundry room which is in the GW. The prices are also higher (but, we think it's worth it). Our favorite view is a a Tower BLV, like johnsonet has. In the Tower, we love stepping out of our room and looking down at the 4th floor concourse and out the huge window at the MK and monorailI am debating switching to a tower room?!? what is the advantage?? I am just wondering if the longer walk to MK from the garden wing will lose what we wanted from the CR?!? are the rooms the same size?? is it worth upgrading to a tower room??

Thank you for posting your mini TR and I hope you get to book another trip soon.Just got back from a 7 night stay that just ended on the 4th. Absolutely loved the CR and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Had a tower room on the 8th floor (room 4437), and the view of the fireworks each night was great. But the best part for us was just the convenience to walk to the Magic Kingdom each day whenever we liked. Just can't beat the convenience of that.
Had a car down in Disney for the first time ever and I must say, I think I'm a convert to that. It made getting to and from AK and DHS very easy, espeically on a night when we were in the DHS all day, came back to do dinner and the Hoop Dee Doo, and then drove back to DHS for a fastpass on the Aerosmith coaster.
My only complaint about the place was the small seating area in the Contempo Cafe - I had to circle the place a few times looking for a table for my family of 5 - and the maid service ran late into the afternoon. We spent one day in a park from opening to about 4PM, came back to the hotel, and the maid was only just getting to our room. We had to camp outside of the room and read books until she was finished. Seemed very late in the day to be getting to it.
But, as I said, absolutely fantastic time and based mostly on the convenience of the location of the CR - will certainly be back.
Great hearing from you and seeing my favorite view. I'm so glad you're finally there
