YAY!!!!

1 MORE DAY!!!!! YYAAAYYYYYY!!!! (can you tell I'm excited???)
I feel the same way. I remember quite vividly our October 2008 stay at the Poly for MNSSHP. Everyone said the rooms would be complete crap and we had probably one of the best trips ever! I don't usually look around for chipping paint and cracked tiles anyway. But I do notice if CMs aren't friendy. That worries me more than food or room condition. The best part of staying CL is the personal interaction and friendships with the staff.![]()
YES!! He was a doll!! He would give you the "last call" before they took the food away. There was also another CM in the morning that would get me Pog juice that wasn't out for breakfast.
POG juice?! It isn't out all the time anymore?? Do they still have it in the desk area to enjoy while you're checking in or chatting with the desk CMs? POG juice used to be there AND the lounge all day.
Oh oh....well when we were there July 4 week, there was no POG juice at the CM desks. And to be honest, I don't remember it being there for the last few years, but maybe I just missed it. For us that week, it was hit or miss if the POG juice was in the lounge. If it wasn't there, the CM's brought us some cups or a pitcher of it, no problem. You should be fine!
Just the fact that you are asking this question means you are just fine!I have witnessed the most disgusting, rude, gluttonous behavior you would not even believe it. This is why we always have a dinner ADR. I have almost given up on evening appetizers because the process makes me so angry. We mostly just use the lounge for breakfast and snacks. To me there is nothing there that would serve as dinner for my kids. They like a big juicy steak and large manly portions!

nope. I could only find it out in the afternoon.POG juice?! It isn't out all the time anymore?? Do they still have it in the desk area to enjoy while you're checking in or chatting with the desk CMs? POG juice used to be there AND the lounge all day.
I totally agree!I personally think getting seconds and thirds (and fourths) is perfectly acceptable. In my mind, the issue with someone going and taking 10 skewers at one time is that it empties out the tray and others have to wait for refills. If you only take 1 or 2 skewers then other people can get 1 or 2 and then, hopefully, they get refilled and you can go back and get a couple more and so on.
So, to me, it's not the quantity of what someone eats but that they try to take it all at one time so others can't get any and then have to wait with nothing on their plates while someone else has a ton.
But I believe that's common courtesy at any type of open food event. I'll have a plate of food and then when other people have had a chance to get their food then I go back and get more. If the lounge is empty or there's like 10 full trays of skewers then I even think it's ok to pile your plate high in that situation - LOL!
It's about sharing and not thinking 'I paid for this so I can take this whole tray if I want to and I don't care if other people are waiting' type mentality that I find rude.
I need some of these tales!Just the fact that you are asking this question means you are just fine!I have witnessed the most disgusting, rude, gluttonous behavior you would not even believe it. nope. I could only find it out in the afternoon.
the same CM that I said was "cranky" gave me a hard time on our last morning. "well, i have to go an make it"..every other morning the other CM was "sure, no problem" and went and got some.
There was nothing offered at check in..they had a water carafe behind the CM's. All the desk CM's were fantastic!!
I don't mind chipped tiles or such so much..but the rooms were just renovated the summer of 2013..that seems bad condition for 2 years of wear
I have to admit that the waterfall being gone from the main lobby still makes me SO sad. I remember that being there when I visited WDW as a kidThanks Erika! The thing is, I don't think that anything short of the Hawaii building being leveled will make him consider staying somewhere else!
But I like to read reports from the people who have just been there, so at least I know what to expect (like those gross-looking corn dogs!).
I'm very curious to see if the "feel" of the resort has changed for me. I know that everyone is different, but I'll know as soon as we arrive at the resort and walk out the back and down to the Hawaii building whether it still feels like my home at WDW or not.
I'm going to try and post live while we're there since I'll have my tablet with me.![]()
We booked AKL about 80 days out and concierge did not have a great deal of luck booking our ADRs. I was able to eventually get everything we needed. I booked all of our fast passes myself. I am really looking forward to our trip next week and I know we will enjoy the lounge, but I did not find any value in the pre-planning services.I am somewhat new to this thread, so I apologize if this has been covered before. I am staying Club Level at AKL in September. Can the concierge help me with Fast Pass reservations, or should I just hurry up and get my tickets already?
Luckily, it forced us to try AKL CL when we normally wouldn't have, and I'm so thankful because it became my FAVORITE, up there with GF RPC. DH & I have agreed that we wont be returning to Poly until the next round of room updates.
At YC, we had potato chips made on site. They were amazing. I've stayed CL at the Poly and AKL, too, but only at YC was I compelled to go over for the afternoon snacks.
I know there has been a lot of conversation about the FP texting service and what places have it here, we just checked into the CR Tower club and they hadn't even heard of it. So I can confirm that it is not offered here.
The GF had those potato chips, too and they were delicious!
Very interesting! I think someone on here texted with IPO who confirmed that it is at CR. This is such a downer to not have concrete info, especially coming directly from IPO!
In any event, have a fabulous time in the Tower Club!![]()
