I don't know how realistic that is to eat a lot of meals in the room. This may possibly be a weird question... but I'm going to throw it out there anyways.
We're planning our first trip to WDW for next March, staying at AoA in a little mermaid room. We're planning on eating a few meals in our room to save some money in the park. I've read up about Garden Grocer and other delivery services and that seems like a viable option.
Now... I've also read that standard value rooms do not have a microwave. How do you heat anything up?? Or is it cold food for everyone? I'm just curious how other people manage this!
We eat on site, but we have breakfasts in our room or while waiting on the buses. We pack fruit, yogurt, granola bars, juice boxes, etc.
We had the meal plan last year, and later discovered it cost us more money. We plan to share meals at QS locations and see if we do better that way.
The suites at AoA have microwaves, but that might negate any savings. Some people stay off site with full kitchens, and that works for them.
