Does anyone have the link to the pictures of the Little Mermaid Room?

I know I've seen pictures of the room somewhere (yes, I know the area isn't opened yet - must be from a preview or something).

thanks!

I have a couple in my PTR, (link below), I'm not sure if more have been released!

YES, YES, YES!!!! Dh managed to move our FD reservation from AS Movies to AoA!!! We arrive on 9/16 and will be there until 9/26 - CAN'T wait!! It's going to be a huge surprise for DD

Just had to share the excitement with folks who will understand!
WELCOME to the party :rotfl:

Still thinking about which resort to stay in, on-site/off-site, moderate/value...fun but hard decision to make!

Are there any "best rooms" yet for the Little Mermaid section?? I imagine not really since no one has stayed there yet, lol.

My "tween" DS's will NOT be intrested in the decor at all :rotfl:, but we don't really want to pay extra for a suite (though the Cars section looks fabulous!!), so Little Mermaid is the only other option at AoA.

I don't want a room facing the pool (noise), and we'll have either our own car or a rental car---so don't think we'd be using the buses--therefore not too concerned about location to a bus stop.

I'm thinking building 7 or 8 and request a lake facing room??

Also, I'm assuming all non-suite rooms still have double beds (which is so bizarre to me!!). And are mini-fridges included??

thanks!!

How?! We have similar dates and I've tried numerous times to switch mine from Pop to AoA too but they said that there were no more rooms available with FD in the LM section. I have the general public FD offer though.

Also, did you get an LM room or one of the suites? Every time I've called they've told me that they could move my FD ressie to AoA to any other section but LM but since there are only 2 adults on this trip, I figured a suite would be a waste of space (not to mention above our budget).

Also, did you happen to have the FD pin? I know some people were able to use this for AoA no problem.

I'm booked at LM for Dec. I offered to "pay" for a lake view and I've been told that you can't select a water view like you can at every other resort at Disneyworld? It would just be a request. In other words. you pay the same whether you are looking over a lake or parking lot. I wonder why?:confused3 I'm on my own and would really love a view over the lake. I added the request - here's hoping. I think I was told at some point that there were king bed rooms. The rooms over the courtyard Bldgs 8 & 9 will face towards EPCOT so may see the fireworks? I requested a lake view at Bldg 8 because it is the farthest away and so I may be lucky if others want to be closer? I love the walk. Other that that, I can't wait to get there and I'm trying hard not to wish the summer away.:cool1:
I agree that the Cars section looks amazing, if I were coming down with my family I would definitely book there.
Last visit I stayed at POR and loved it. The boat trip to DTD and the theme made to worth the extra to stay at a mod. We stayed in the mansions but I'd like to try the Alligator Bayou.
Good luck in your fun choice!

They don't have view rooms at Values only preferred or standard.

Of course, now it makes sense.:rolleyes1
We've stayed at mods the last two visits and I didn't book the values before that. I thought you could always pay a little extra for a water view. Each trip we debate whether or not it's worth it.
Silly me. Still, I can hope :wizard:
Thanks.

I was thinking you could book lake view at POP but I must have been thinking of the pool view option.

Got the "OK" from DBF to start planning a Disney vacation in February for his birthday! This will be his first vacation EVER and it will be my first time back home since 2008. I did the Disney College Program in 2004 and I MISS IT! I am beyond excited for this new resort, I have been very much out of the Disney loop for the past 5 years and SO MUCH has changed!

A couple questions...

-So it looks like the only option for rooms (not suites) is in the LM section. Do all of these rooms come with refrigerators or is it just a request you can make?

-Isn't there a bridge that goes from POP to this resort? I'm wondering if we stay at POP again how easy it would be to go wander around this resort as I would prefer to stay in any of the other sections besides the LM...

-Does anyone know what the AAA discount is? Wondering if it is worth it to get a membership. And I'm hoping for a PIN or FD promo or something, can you use AAA and FD? Or just one or the other?

Subscribed to this thread, cannot wait for February. I'll be doing a PTR and a TR that I should start soon I guess :-)

Everyone leaving soon, have a great time!! So jealous! :-)

Very exciting! My sister did the College Program also and always has the 'Disney Bug'! So to answer your questions as much as I know....all the value resorts now have fridges in all the rooms (from what I've been hearing). So Pop will have them also. The LM rooms are the only regular rooms, and they will have fridges (but no other kitchen things). The generation gap from Pop is open, so you can freely walk over to AoA to view the grounds, eat in the restaurant etc. All the pools though, are gated and key entry. I don't know anything about the AAA discount however, hopefully someone else can answer that!

So for all that have checked in an stayed at AOA, can you confirm that the gated Big Blue Pool is actually locked? I was reading this review posted below, and she clearly says that the pool is gated but not locked! She said she checked it several times and it was never locked! Just curious as to if that was the case. I posted the review below for you all to read. I'm just curious as I know this was a heated issue a while back. Can somebody fill me in please. Thanks!

I guess I don't see why it matters. I'm staying there, I'll have a key and swim there. If I'm not staying there I see no need to even try it.

If anything, I'm guessing that with just a small portion of the resort occupied so far, it's just not necessary yet.

Because I'm curious, that's why it matters! :confused3 If I remember correctly, the bar at AOA is inside the gait. I would like to visit AOA and possibly have a drink pool side while taking in all the awesomeness during our visit in August. I have no desire to stay there, no desire to swim there, etc. I would just like to know, that's why it matters. Isn't this the place to come and ask questions if we have questions, jeez! No need to get snotty!

Is there anyone that has posted a review of the new food at Landscapes? This thread is super long and didn't find it on the first few pages of the dining reviews. TIA :goodvibes

Just back from a 2 week stay and we checked out AoA. All I can say is WOW!!! We've been going to DW since 1989 and this resort is THE best themed resort I've seen. We usually stay deluxe or mod, just once at a value (Pop), and I can't wait to stay at AoA. The Cars section is sooooooo cool. Makes you feel like you're right in the middle of the movie. We loved it so much. we went back a second time just to look around. I do wish they had a few regular rooms (non-suite) in all the sections. We have a DS and don't need a suite, so it would be nice tom have some different options. I would put out the money for a suite if I could be in the Cars section. What a great job the imagineers have done!!!!!
