If someone comes up to me and starts bullying why should I have to retreat? If everyone runs from a bully all you're doing is showing them that its ok to do so. I possess a concealed carry permit that is good in about 40 states, I am a law abiding citizen and should have the right to defend myself and my family if that were to ever occur. I shouldn't have to run from a threat if I can stop it and if that ever occurs all I'm going to say is that I won't run, I will use deadly force to eliminate said threat.
Boycotting the State of Florida?? I kind of love this! Who comes up with these ridiculous ideas?

In my opinion, I really don't care. If I want to go somewhere, (especially WDW) I will go there unless there is some major health/safety issue there. (Ex: Malaria, Food poisoning, etc). Some court ruling is NOT going to ruin my WDW vacation. On the other hand, It's less busy! No more FPs necessary.
Boycott away! It won't even make a dent in the crowds this time of year.
Florida did their job, the jury did their job, but for some people that is not good enough. He was found not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, but there are some who do not believe the trial ended right. So someone has to be punished and everyone in the state must be held accountable.
All the people that are going to do this you can still go to Disneyland.
Trayvon was at the house where his father was staying.
He left and went back up the sidewalk to confront GZ.
SYG was not used in Zimmerman's case. The lawyers used self defense which every state and most countries in the world recognize.
The jury found Zimmerman not guilty.
SYG is a variation of self defense and 30+ states have a form of it as either SYG, the Castle Doctrine, etc. In some states, like California, it's legal to pursue the person you feel threatened you.
Basically this law is in place because in some instances, someone broke into a house and threatened or caused harm the homeowner.
The homeowner defended themselves and either hurt or killed the criminal.
The criminal or the criminal's family sued the homeowner.
The law is to prevent things like this from happening.
boycotting Florida makes NO sense whatsoever in relation to the Zimmerman trial... first off, the case was handled in a court of law and a panel of jurors... it just so happens the courthouse was in Florida. Florida tried to throw everything they could at him but there just wasn't enough evidence beyond a reasonable doubt whether we like the outcome or not... the justice system did what it was supposed to do. I didn't like the verdict in the Casey Anthony or OJ trial either, but the court system did was it was designed to do... if you can't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt...it's over.
A lot of people (including the horrible media these days) is forgetting the stand your ground law (that many people are protesting and boycotting for), wasn't even used as a defense in this case at all.... so again, none of this makes sense
if they want to boycott Florida and stop coming to Disney let 'em... shorter lines for us lol
Charges were brought bc the state wanted to reduce the possibility of racial tension with the state. The whole case was silly, anyway. I don't understand why they even brought charges against him in the first place? They didn't have a case against him.
