Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

Just got back last night at midnight from Disneyland!! Had such a GREAT time and met SO many great people and friends! I feel like I have known Kailua's Belle my entire Life and Belle's Sister too...had so much fun!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my boys and I spent a LOT of time on our FE gifts..(made personalized Cruise Line luggage tags for everyone..which was a proud accomplishment of our gift bags) and shipped them (on time btw) to the dock..unfortunately, the box did not make it on the boat...

I spent a lot of time trying to find out what happened to it, and why (basically, the dock people messed up and didn't get it through customs in time)..but the end result was it was sitting on the dock and would remain there until we docked. Needless to say, it was useless..and our well planned and thoughtful FE gifts didn't make it to anyone.

So, I wanted to first apologize for that error which really bummed me out...and hopefully explain the somewhat unusual FE gifts we ended up giving out (Puerto Vallarta stuff & etc..). I'm sorry our gift bags didn't make it, but I just wanted to let everyone know why.

We absolutely loved our gifts..and wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful time and smiles they gave us every day!!

Welcome home, lionqueen! I can't believe how many times we ran into each other. It was actually kinda freaky I really thought you might think I was a stalker I posted a picture of our boys on FB, so check it out. So sad to be home. I hope I can plan another cruise in the future!

Thanks to everyone for the great FE gifts. My DD loved going back and checking the FE and took in all the gifts and alloted them out to us. I think I got what I was supposed to have. I still have one more bag to unpack. I left immediately on a business trip on Monday morning after the cruise - so was in a foggy state probably until today... ugh.

Haha..I've already told the story of how many times we ran into eachother to like 10 people..it really was bizarre..but I LOVED IT!! I would never think of you as anything but a crazy Disney freak like me...so happy to have met you!! I just saw the pics on you FB...already seems like so long ago but I LOVED the pics!!

If they included the lollipops with the glow stick handles - BIG HIT with the kiddos. The postcard was great too for my scrapbooking as we did not do any shopping in PV. Sorry to hear about all the efforts on the original FE gifts - we would have loved them but just to let you know ... the local gifts were a fun twist. We appreciated all our FE gifts.

It was total seasickness. He started on the patch and was in the stateroom, in bed, starting from dinner the first night until dinner the second. He took off the patch for the night and on the third morning went to the chewables they have on the ship. He did do better, but there were times that I thought he was going to have to go back to bed.

I also learned that I don't want to do the MR again, but that's only so I don't have to visit my in-laws again. PV was a long day for me. Those people only say annoying things when my husband steps away. UGH!

I actually called on my 2nd to last day in Disneyland crying because I didn't have a Disney trip scheduled...needless to say, we are going to Disneyland in October (usually go to WDW..may end up switching to the world between now and then..not sure) and Vegas in June....WHEW!!!!

Yes, I was the one with the glow lollipops and postcards n' such...glad you liked them. I felt odd getting things in Puerto, but I certainly didn't want to be left out or have anyone in our group without the FE gifts my boys LOVED!!!

I'll be on the 4/17 10 night MR, and was hoping someone here has information for me. Did anyone of you arrive at the port early, in hopes of an upgrade? How early did you have to arrive?What kind of availability? Did you have to have your whole party with you? What were the prices like to upgrade? Any information would be helpful? Hope it was WONDERful!

Go to the trip report forum--I am pretty sure there's the beginning of a TR from someone on our cruise who did get an upgrade. I believe it was around $1700--that seems to be the general amount. You do have to be there pretty early, especially if your cruise is close to being sold out. We took the 9:30 shuttle from the Doubletree and were one of the first few people in the building, before they opened anything up to check-ins or upgrades. You'd be fine being there around that time.

When I asked about an upgrade it was $7000 to upgrade from a 10 to the concierge level. I passed. That was our entire vacation budget. OUCH!

Of course they said our cruise was FULL and that was the only room available for upgrade.

Right now, our son is doing a project with a friend and he pulled out his candy from the FE exchange. Whenever I see the magnets and other gifts I smile and think about cruising. Thanks for all the great gifts.

We booked a dummy date for a future cruise. I think we will be going on the Fantasy June 15 or June 22, 2013. I can hardy wait until I can book the date and then start planning again.

We are leaving next Sunday for the 10 night MR. So close now! I'm also booked for the June 16, 2012 Fantasy. Are they already booking for 2013? When they open up, book quickly. The prices increase fast.

hey everyone hope you are all settling back into real life ok, lol! we are just trying to avoid being scooped up like dorothy and taken to OZ w/ all the crazy storms we are having in the south lately. (my friend called them tornado tantrums on fb, lol!)

anyway, i have a question and a favor to ask. my mil is wanting to book on another cruise with us (we've booked on a may 2012 FANTASY cruise to the EC!!) but they never got (or they didn't realize what it was and tossed it) the card that we got with a pic of the Wonder w/a magnet on the back and a PIN number to use for 10% off booking another cruise. it is one PIN per stateroom so they can't use ours. i told her i would ask here since we know you all just went as well and maybe someone got one that they aren't planning to use. if so would you be willing to pm me w/ the PIN number? please? this 10% could be the difference of them going or not (even tho in the big picture it may not be THAT much $, especially given that the cruise is a year away, i think mentally it's really swaying their decision). my parents are booked to go and tho i wonder what it will be like to have to balance both sets of parents for a week, i really would love another chance to spend a week with my il's two adopted kids (who are younger than my kids and will be ours if something happens to my il's)
