Not feeling this one at all. The Moana rooms at the Poly set the bar so high and this is just...meh. As an Incredibles fan it's really disappointing. I love the pillows and I'm glad they finally fixed the awful sink situation in the bathrooms. But other than that...oof. It really looks like a DIY job in an offsite AirBnB or something.

We're booked CL there for the 50th weekend, before we move over to the Poly. Between this and the uncertainty of what CL will look like I am regretting not being at the Poly the whole time.

We need you to try it out for us though and report back!

This! It's funny, I feel the same exact way. I really dug the Moana theme and style of the Poly rooms. Maybe my expectations were too sky high for CR remodel.

Wow! Those new CR rooms look amazing. I kind of got a Star Wars-ish vibe from them... maybe it’s the windows? Even tho Incredibles was never a big favorite, it was cute and fun just not a favorite, I love the design of those rooms! It’s a retro contemporary vibe I think.

That place needs some love. The entrance is so cool but the dining rooms have no flavor. Unless square and open is a design lol.

Ate there earlier this month. Food was good but interior was indeed sad. Happy to see it get some love.

Meh. I LOVE the interior of The Wave. And I like the room refurb for what it is.

First Look Inside a Reimagined Guest Room at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Hmmm. Very cute and captures the energy of the Contemporary, but I don’t love it. I think because it comes off a bit cold and sterile (to me). Good mid-mod design uses a lot of warm wood and organic tones to balance the clean lines and create an inviting space. This room is mostly white and gray with not a lot of warmth. Though I LOVE the pops of orange and the artistic use of the carpet, I feel like it would be hard to relax in that room after a long day in the parks. Maybe in person it will feel more soothing than in the photos.

That said, I can see why a lot of people will love these rooms. They are a lot of fun, even if they’re not for me personally.

Looking closer I think one wow factor hard to see here is how long the room might be perceived in person. The couch is tripled down the wall and the pin striping onthe bed side has forced perspective to enhance that looong feeling.

Bring back Concourse Steakhouse! It was a must do for us every trip. Tried The Wave after Concourse Steakhouse closed but just didn’t do it for us. Loved having a nice steak watching the monorail go through!

Recommending the same strategy for a family tomorrow AM.

If similar, they will then head to Safari-did you do that by any chance?

Then also wondering if FotLK is going on and when. TIA.

Yes, I would recommend getting to Safari ASAP after Navi. It was a 30 minute wait I think at 8:30 then quickly jumped up to 75 min.

I'll try to circle back about FotLK. Girls are on kali while we are desperately trying to keep cool lol! Found a table in a shady spot

You want to get to safari early not only for wait times but also so you can get it done in the cooler part of the day. Animals are typically more active then.

Hopefully this will cut down on those long lines and need to queue up so far ahead of time for shows.

Thanks again-that strategy is what we recommend to them, they just need to follow it. It can crumble fast if they are not timely.

I agree. There’s never too much safari! Last trip I did morning and then twice in a row just before 6pm closing Even back to back was different.
