Here you will traverse across Zootopia’s iconic terrains, sliding across the ice of Tundra Town, prowling for fugitives through the streets of Sahara Square, sharing a too-close-for-comfort encounter at Mystic Springs Oasis, and plummeting from the canopies of the Rainforest District all in pursuit of Bellwether and her gang to track down Gazelle.

That's definitely what the Dino Land is going to turn into at AK. You can even see how the ride matches up with Dinosaur.
The attraction itself looks more like Rise of the Resistance than Dinosaur. It’s a trackless dark ride and features a drop.

Vehicles are also similar to Rise with 2 rows of 4 where Indy/Dinosaur is 3 rows.

Zootopia Land actually looks excellent and would fit well in AK where Dinoland is now. Poor Dinosaur's days are numbered though.

I don't think they would spend money on a retheme of Dinosaur at this point, I think this new trackless attraction will built in the same building (like Runaway Railway was in HS).

Shanghai Disney Resort revealed a new look at the world's first Zootopia-themed land, including a brand new look at the land's main attraction "Zootopia: Hot Pursuit" -- all set to open later this year.

Looks very much like a Universal designed land :tilt:

Nah, there are too many animatronics in the attraction to be at a Universal park.
I am not speaking specifically to the rides or anything else inside the buildings. I'm talking about the land itself, the design and layout. Reminds me of a mix between Seussville and Super Hero Land. I get it is a cartoonish based theme but just a "who designed this" I go straight to Universal.

And at this point not sure animatronics are a good plus since last few trips two MAJOR animatronics in Galaxy Edge have been covered up.

I understood what you meant - was just adding some humor lol I also fully expect those large figures to stop working within a year if this came to AK.

I think this looks fine. I think it's an improvement over something like Toy Story Land which IMO looks very lazy and slapped together theming wise.

Question? TRON could not come to us for what 7 years. Will our potential for Zootopia at least 7 years out? Blocking a land likely harder than blocking a ride, and our rides could be totally different. Or is this just another Disney telling us LOOK WHAT YOU ARE GETTING, then whispering in seven years.

I hated Toy Story Land when it was announced and first built. I hate these copycat lands and rides, it always feels like sloppy seconds and unimaginative.

BUT at this point I just look at it for what it is ... Andy's toys in the backyard - a kid designed setup. It is what one would expect from that. I think they could have created more shade with some giant monkey grass or "bushes" but it's not as bad as AK Dinoland or much of the sadness of EPCOT. Gosh, even TRON is a lazy ride when you look at Guardians and Hagrids.

The meet and greet area reminds me of the character interaction area near the Secret Life of Pets ride in Universal Hollywood. It's a small area where the characters are above you on a balcony and interact with guests.

I wouldn't expect any new land by like, 2026. I believe there is a deal where rides from Shanghai cannot be cloned for a certain amount of time but even then Disney would need to start putting shovels in the ground TODAY to have anything built "soon", whatever that means for WDW these days.

If it makes you feel better (or worse), the Toy Story Land in HS is the best version of the land. The ones in the international parks look awful.

It’s at least 5 years if that applies for Zootopia. It’s why Tron originally was going to be at the earliest October 2021. Obviously a lot happened in between.
