Hi everyone,

I'm looking into booking horseback riding for myself, my husband and our two children ages 9 and 11. The description says it's a 45 min ride, but when I go to book additional information says the experience is 1hr and 30 min. I know there are safety instructions and waivers to sign, does that take up 45 minutes? Thank you for any insight!

We did the trail ride in March. I think it was a 45min ride with the other 30-45min checking in(need to get weighed), waiting around while getting matched up and saddled up, instructions. It was a little process to get everyone lined up, proceeding single file. It was a great experience, especially for 1st time, novice riders.

Well, the ride start times are spread 90 minutes apart and 5 rides a day are currently shown.

As others say, there is check-in, weigh-in, get mounted, do the ride, get dis-mounted, wave goodbye.

So I bet the real ride part (never done it) is 45 minutes (you can see the horse trail in the winter views on Google Maps/Earth). And the rest of the time is spent in administrivia.

It's a walking horse ride from what I've seen multiple times and likely a good introduction to a horse and how they are. But there is no galloping off down the valleys and through the streams. So just to set expectations.
