Disney Gift Card Deals

I think I can give you some numbers that will help you determine a starting point.

Assuming status quo at Ebates, Target, Ebay, Paypal, & GCM
Assuming we get 7 #x offers a quarter
Assuming you churn every 10 days at an average of 3x ebay bucks (churns will be between 1x and 5x)

View attachment 157042

I know you're trying to be helpful, but again I'd advise anyone looking at these numbers and getting excited to seriously think against being too greedy.

Churning an initial investment of $900 9x a quarter through Target and eBay means you're pushing through about $8k in 3 months! If you're trying to make an additional $3k out of that $900, you'll be pushing through over $24k in about 9 months!

For those who are new to this thread, a member reported recently that she was banned from ever shopping online again at Target .com because she had bought around $25k in Disney gift cards just to pay for a Disney cruise and ABD vacation. And I don't think she even churned much. Seriously think about the risk before you get carried away.

I joined you all right around the time that Target has the $5 gift cards when buying gift cards and used those to buy the $300 Target gift card at 10% off plue the 4 $5 gift cards earned around Christmas. I now have added $1200 to our Disney budget that is allowing 4 TS meals for 8 of us. We were not going to do any and just bring food and buy snacks and maybe a QS or two. I thought I was done having hit the $5000 limit but see that it has been lifted. Wondering if I should cash out and be thankful or keep going, our trip is not until Sept. I live abroad so I do not have the option of store pickup, the ability to go in the store before arrival and use things like grocery store fuel perks. If something gets held up we can use both Target and eBay gift cards but that means not using it for Disney and giving up our TS meals. Almost all my money is in Target at the moment. Any one want to chime in what they would do.

I don't think you'd necessarily have to churn $24k through Target to see a $3k in "profit" (for lack of a better term for the free money gotten through churning). I made $1,100 profit this quarter and churned $4,425 through Target. If I followed the same formula for 3 quarters, I'd push through less than $15k for $3,300. Still a lot of money, but significantly less than 24k. I'm not sure if $15k over 9 months raise a flag, as someone here has posted doing more than that in 1/3 of the time without being banned, but it very well could. Also, I was under the assumption that the 25K the other posted did was in much less than 9 months. Unfortunately, we just don't know what the factors are to be banned and being conservative with your churning is probably best if you value your Target account. I have no use for my Target account outside of churning and I honestly think these new Ebay rules will cause Target to fix this loophole soon, so I'm just trying to get what I need to cover our trip costs for this trip AND upgrade to APs to lessen our costs for next trip (and possibly Spring 2017). I don't really have any long-term churning goals after that because it may no longer be possible for anyone by then.

Our trip is in September also and I have enough to pay for it plus have some extra. My money is primarily still in Target and eBay. The temptation to keep churning all my money is definitely there but just in the last week I have begun slowly buying Disney from Target. I do not want to save it until the end b/c I am converting about 4k more that what I had already converted. I do not want to get banned nor raise flags on my account!! I am hopeful to be able to keep churning so I'm trying to be very careful. I still have about 1k in my churning pot that I will keep churning though. It is not for this Sept's trip.

My 1st eBay purchases was a $25 Gamestop eGC that I bought with a $10 off welcome to eBay coupon. They were out of Target cards at the time and some mentioned Gamestop as an alternative. Do I have to go to a store to buy another GC or can it be flipped online? I have had it in my inbox since January, surprised I haven't forgotten about it. Also, what if anything do you do in April if there aren't any promo ebucks during the redemption period? Do they usually offer other discounts like the buy $100 for $95 or is it basically a churn hiatus? Will we all be going through withdrawal or welcoming the break?

I don't believe you can purchase gift cards at GameStop online; you'll have to go into a store. The last time I was at a GameStop, I saw eBay gift cards on a rack with all the other gift cards, and an eBay gift card can be loaded with any amount between $25-500. I know @asgaga has posted a lot of experience with GameStop gift cards.

The conventional wisdom was eBay doesn't run eBay Bucks promos during an eBay Bucks redemption period, but I believe there were two promos during the last redemption period in January! Come April, I won't be in such a rush to redeem my eBay Bucks and will wait to see if there are any promos because you can earn more eBay Bucks for eBay Bucks spent. I believe you have 30 days to spend your eBay Bucks, so there isn't much of a rush.

some states and counties wont let you buy gift cards with gamestop gift cards, so be aware of that, but it is not hardwired into the system. So worse comes to worse do not tell them you are using a giftcard, just slide it in after they activate the ebay card and it will work.

It's an eGC, I don't even have a printer but I can forward it to work and print it there. I don't think I am in an area that prohibits buying GC with GC. Thanks

Just wanted to share my experience with buying Disney GCs at target dot com. I recently purchased $400 worth of Disney GCs online in the denominations of 2x $50 GC and 3x $100 GC using the Red card for my 5% off. Same transaction but they sent the $50s and the $100s separately. FedEx messed up our shipment of the $100s and we got an alert informing us the package was damaged and unable to be delivered. We received an E-giftcard from Target for $300. Just re-ordered the $300 worth of GCs for Disney and it only cost me $285 worth of my Ecard, giving me an additional free $15 towards Disney. Not much, but every lil bit helps! I guess it makes it worthwhile for my troubles.

That is interesting! My last order containing both $100's and one $50 were shipped separate too. I wonder if this is new?? I've not ordered different denominations in quite awhile.

For those who use ebates to get the reward on Target purchases. I forgot to add a small item last night while purchasing $150 eBay cards through Target (through ebates) so didn't get ebates. I would have earned $3 on that purchase. I guess you guys are buying small inexpensive items?? What do you buy that doesn't eat into the ebates entirely?

School supplies (pencils, sharpeners, erasers, rulers) are cheap add-ons. Last week I bought two 8qt Sterilite storage containers that were on sale for $0.96 and I use them to keep all of the other supplies I'm accumulating.

You have to wonder HOW that package was "damaged" & WHAT happened to them...

What do you mean by eat into the rebates? Does buying a more expensive item reduce the amount of Ebates on the gift card portion?

There are so many things that we need & buy from Target that it shouldn't be difficult to buy something you need anyway, like deodorant, bandaids, pens, etc., right?

Thanks. I'll just have to look for tiny, cheap items. Just wanted to make sure I was doing it right.

I'm not sure how you would do a successful search on this thread for this topic but others have reported what they have added on that qualifies for the rebate. I'm pretty sure deodorant and band-aids do not qualify.
