Can we just....go?

Absolutely yes. For the past four years, we spend the first week of May at VB. We enjoy the relaxing atmosphere, But DW needs her Disney fix at least one day that week. We get up, have breakfast, fill our mugs, and take the 90 minute drive. We like to go to Olivia's at OKW for lunch, and then take the bus (usually to EPCOT for flower and garden festival) and avoid park parking fees. On that week, we have never worried about park capacity, and have enjoyed our park day. In the evening, take the bus back to OKW, refill our mugs, and go back to Vero. We try this in the middle of our vacation so we still have time to decompress before heading home. Have fun and safe travels.

Please note leaving your car at OKW while you go to the park is not allowed and such discussions are not permitted on DISboards.

Parking at a resort is limited to guests staying at a resort or those with a dining reservation while they are enjoying the resort experiences but, the vehicle should be moved after that to the park you are visiting. It is unfair to guests staying at a resort and not permitted by Disney, to leave a vehicle parked at the resort if guests are no longer at the resort.
