I don't have one specific favorite time of day, but I have some different times that keep me going.
1. 12:34 - This is my favorite time on the clock. Ever since I was a little kid, I loved when it was 1234. As a 5 year old, it meant my macaroni and cheese lunch was almost ready and the Magic Garden was on tv. The Feist song 1234 always reminds me of it as well. It's also considered an angel number. If you happen to notice this time (at random...not waiting for it), it's supposed to symbolize life falling into perfect order. Even better...unless you're on military time, you get this one twice a day! Although, I'm usually not awake for the first instance but do take it as a sign if I randomly wake and that's the time at the moment.
2. Mile 2 - Whatever time mile 2 happens is my favorite walking time. There's a saying in the race world that Mile 1 is a liar. Now, that's not to say that I don't glean some useful information off of it, but whatever is going on in mile 2 is when I start to feel really good about my walk, the day, life, etc. I'm pretty well warmed up at this point and life just feels good. Today, that started around 6:14 am. Yesterday, it was more like 5:14 am.
3. Nap Time - Those of us who are parents probably remember the struggles getting our kids to nap, but it was glorious when they did because it meant either we could nap or get some stuff done. I'm sure many of us also wish we could go back and talk to ourselves as 2-4/5 year olds and tell yourself to take those naps while you can. Working from home, I started to reembrace nap time for me. I mean, I used to joke in our 100% in-office days that I was going to get an air mattress to keep under my desk so I could have nap time. Work from home just made that more of a reality. Pre-covid, my group was up to 3 days a week at home. That's when I really started to embrace the midday nap. Now that we're only in the office twice a month (at least for now), I take nearly daily naps. Definitely a favorite time of day.
Honorable mentions to meal time, time to log out of work, gym time, softball game time, vacation time, social time, and other fun/relaxing times.
