I'm sure you're all aware of the Target gift card $50 for $40 on groupon. I got two gift cards on two separate Groupon accounts. I receive 5% cashback to my upromise account. I paid with my capital one that gets me an additional 1.5% cash back. Then received 5% off for red card. Saving a total of 30% on $100 Disney gift card.

I've tried quite a few times to get that deal, but when I go to Groupon it says "Not Yet Available." I finally gave up.

I know this was directed at PP, but I have a few questions for my own planning purposes. The last row of this chart is based on churning $900 once per 3 months? So, it would take $1,800 to arrive at the total after 9 months? This seems like the perfect strategy for our fall trip (assuming everything stays the same).

No @davper stated the chart was based on 7 times per quarter at a 3x offer, and it would take 3 quarters assuming those circumstances were met.

ETA: but the math is for 9 times a quarter.

9 Times a quarter but only expect 7 #x offers during this time. So there would be 2 purchases at the normal 2% Ebay Bucks.





Yes, this is a lot to pass through Target and you all have been warned about the risk many times from other users.

Thanks for the responses to what is a qualifying purchase to earn ebates. I think I am all set for the next extra bucks promo. Any guesses as to when the next one is coming and for how much? The last one was last week and 3x correct? Oh, one more thing, sorry. Does the ebay quarter end March 31st?

Now I know to go through ebates and add a small item. BUT, I still need a portal that will give rewards for buying TARGET through ebay. iConsumer does but I am at my limit for the month.

Swaybucks credits as well for Target cards purchased through Ebay. They are also 1%, but if you go the GC route, instead of getting Paypal, you can get your first $25 card of the month for just 2200 SB (as opposed to 2500) saving you a tiny bit more. MyPoints credits for buying Ebay cards on Target without a small item, if you can't find anything to buy. You get 2 points per $, but when you redeem your points for GC they cost different amounts. The more expensive ones are 4k points for $25 and the cheaper ones are around 3450 points for $25.

In my experience, purchasing eBay on target's site, with a small item, gives 2%. Purchasing target on eBay, no additional items required, gives 1%.

Just an FYI another target.com banning was posted on a different message board. Seems like the poster's trigger was multiple purchases of Disney gift cards all in one day so I'd advise spreading out purchases.

Yes poster said $3000 in a single day using gift cards purchased from local grocery store.
