We were given late dining. We booked too late to pick what we wanted. We have gone the first day and got it changed to early many times.
We prefer early because we normally eat at 5 p.m.

Plus if you eat early that gives you more time to snack your way around the ship in the evening.:lmao:

Good morning everyone,

Going to be a nice warm day today. That will get us use to warm weather for the tropics :thumbsup2

My countdown chain is looking shorter each day!! It won't be long now:goodvibes

Back a bit later,

Kathy

Question of the Day: Early or Late Dining and Why

We prefer early seating as it more closely aligns with normal eating patterns. We are currently booked for late dining as we book so late but we will be changing to early once we get on the ship.

RedskinFan;47130773]Question of the Day: Early or Late Dining and Why

We prefer the early dining because that is when we normally eat and our 5 year old would be grumpy if we ate late.

Firstly today, I want to give Jane (Redskinfan) a big THANK YOU for sending me her spare Ikea organizer for me to turn into our FE. :worship: It arrived this morning.

We are at the early seating time because the late seating is too close to bed time for all of us!

We booked so late, that we didn't get a choice and have late dininng. Our TA waitlisted us for early, but after reading posts about which is better, I decided to leave it at late. It is later than our usual dinner would be, but I plan on us having a snack around 4 to keep us going.

MDA - this is our first cruise, so no

Mickey Bars are ice cream, covered in chocolate, in the shape of Mickey's head, on a stick.

Can't answer the Beer question either, sorry.

If anyone is interested, here are the movies playing on board on our cruise.

The Midship Detective Agency game is lots of fun. You get a game card and a map at the stations on decks 2 or 5. There are 2 different games to choose from. You go to each of the enchanted art pieces and hold your card up to it to play the game. It takes you all over the ship to each piece of art. You mark off suspects at each stop using the clues you receive.

Mickey Bars are awesome and a must try. If you like Dove or Magnum ice cream bars, then you'll like them. :thumbsup2

I have no idea about the beer cards. I've seen beer mugs that can be purchased and refilled for a discount price throughout the cruise.

Hope this helps!

I picked up the card to do it but it was a long line to activate it so I went off to do other stuff and never got back to it. I saw lots of people doing it. It does take a couple hours to complete it, so start early to register. After that you can go at your leisure to finish.
It did look like fun. I saw plenty of adults doing it without kids too.

Beer Mug [refillable] - Mug is $14.95. Refills are $3.75 and get 20 oz for the price of a 16 oz. 15% gratuity is automatically added to this cost. Beer on tap on the ships: Bud Light, Amberbock, Kirin Itchiban, Guinness, Yeungling, Sam Adams and Michelob Ultra. Picture of beer mug., Sign with new cost of mug as of 8/30/09.

This was the most current info I could find so far. I'm sure its gone up some in 4 years. But its a starting point for you.

I will continue to look for the current price. I'm sure the brands mentioned above are accurate still.

Thanks for posting this. We haven't seen Timothy Green or Frankenwienie, but not sure if we will be able to fit it in with everything else. If only we had longer ......................

Can't wait! Been dying to see wreck it Ralph, Lincoln, & Timothy green... Going to sooo hard to see everything!!!

Good morning everyone,

All those movies were also playing on our Fantasy cruise in November and I had high hopes if seeing a couple of them but never found the time.:confused3

Wreck it Ralph played really late at night but if I had sat down that late in a dark theater I would have fallen asleep before it was over..:lmao:
Twice it played during the day but there were other events I wanted to do so I never saw one movie in the theater.

However on the TV I did manage to see a couple movies i wanted to see. The new mission Impossible movie, Santa Clause, and Total recall. It took all week though.
They were on the movies on Demand so if we were in the room to dress or what ever I would turn it on and watch just a few minutes. Then just before falling asleep I would watch some more. So nice you can go back and continue where ever you want to.:thumbsup2

ok,
question of the day:

Are you doing anything in Nassau or staying on the ship?

My answer:

We dont have any excursions booked we have done most of them already but we are going to get off the ship and walk through the straw market and a few more stores down the 2nd block over from the port.

If we do anything there besides shop it would be the Pirate museum. Its very good and only takes about an hour to see. Plus their gift shop(dont have to do museum to see the gift shop) has some cool pirate stuff for pirate night.

Kathy
Of course that could have changed since we have been there. Its just 10 minutes walk at the most form the ship.

I thought i should post a reminder for everyone about our meet.
Plus for the new people who dont know about it yet.

Come meet your fellow cruisers:

1/31 First day on board
3:00 P.M.
Vista Cafe, deck 4, mid ship. (right above the atrium)

Plenty of chairs and space for everyone. Come say hello and meet face to face. Then you can look for each other throughout the cruise. Its surprizing how many times you will pass someone in the hall or see them at the table next to you at dinner once you know their face.

see everyone there!!!
Or you may have to meet
