Disney Cruise DREAM January, 31, 2013

We will be on this cruise but are still awaiting our room assignments. I would like to join the FE. We have 2 rooms. Me, my DH Dave, and DS8 will be staying in one room. My Mom, niece(17), and DD(10) will be staying in another room.

We just booked a room at comfort suites. My DH has been to atlantis for an extended stay and thinks the kids will love the water park. I just book 1 room so him, my niece, and 2 kids can visit atlantis. Mom just wants to checkout the casino and I just hope to be able to use the wifi to update family on our adventure!

We won't board until 2:00. All the early times were taken so I figured we'd just get an early lunch at AKL before heading to the ship.

Great to have a new family coming along.:yay:

I am Kathy,

What are all of your names?

Keith is the keeper of the FE list and he checks here often to keep it updated.
If you want to send him a PM his posting name is TN1. Just got back one page and you will see a few of his posts, just click on his posting name and there is a link to send him a PM.

Atlantis water park is awesome from what I have been told although we havnt done it ourselves. We saw some of the water area when we did the Aquarium tour a few years ago.

Looking forward to chatting with you to pass the time waiting for this awesome cruise!!

Be sure and come to the meet too. Info for that is just back a couple posts.:thumbsup2

Sounds like a good idea. I think all the restaurants close for lunch at 2:30 or 3:00 that first day, although the food court on deck 11 is still open for burgers and stuff like that.

Hi all,

It's been a while since I was last on the board and I can't remember if I posted that I will be on this cruise.

I'm actually doing a Back 2 Back with the first being the 4 day on 27th. (So I will be VERY relaxed by the time you all join me!)

Sooo looking forward to it now. Counting down the days!

Hi, Thanks but as I mentioned I'm quite happy to let others do the running around the ship on this one - I'll take it leisurely and enjoy everything else the ship has to offer. :thumbsup2

ok,
question of the day:

Are you doing anything in Nassau or staying on the ship?

Kathy

If you LOVE Fresh Conch Salad, then you need to go "under the bridge" in Nassau between the port & Atlantis. They literally pull the conch from the sea & prepare it in front of you.
My DH Jay ALWAYS gets off the ship for this.
You can take a water taxi right at the port or a cab. If you go on the water taxi I think you can buy a round trip ticket - not 100% sure of that The driver of the water taxi will be your "tour guide" also. They are very informative & entertaining

Another area for great Bahamian Food is called "Fish Fry". There are many little "shack" type restaurants & a nice restaurant called "Twin Brothers"...absolutely delish & not expensive

You can always check at the library or online for more ideas of what you'd like to see/do at Nassau

Question of the day:

How long will it take you once your on board before your walking around with a cool topical drink in your hand?? :rolleyes1

Question of the day:

What is your favorite Table Service Meal at Disney World? What is your favorite Counter Service Meal?

I've only been to Disney World one other time in recent memory but my favorites on those trips were Boma and Flame Tree BBQ.

Chef Mickeys for Table service although its a buffet so you serve yourself.
Sci Fi diner is a close 2nd.

Counter service:

Gosh thats a hard one to decide. Seems like we have a favorite place in each park.
I guess its toss up between Harbour house at Mk or Tortuga Tavern at MK when its open. Its seasonal for mexican food.

We actually don't drink alcohol and probably won't be purchasing drinks. We will be on a tight budget and I would rather spend the money on stuff for the kids. :)

We dont drink alcohol either but usually ask how much the glass itself is and get one as a cheap souvenir that we can actually use instead of getting something to sit on a shelf and gather dust.

If it says Disney Dream on it we will probably get one because i have one for the other 3 ships. Since we probably wont be going on the Dream again for a few years.

Probably all cruise :rotfl2: I don't tend to drink "cool, tropical drinks". But you never know with this being a first cruise, I might just try one :)
