hey, peeps! i'm home from disney. actually got home yesterday but didn't have time to come by here. i'm tired, but we had a great trip! i started my TR tonight - link's in my signature. hope everyone here had a great week! we ate like crazy people but we did a lot of walking, so i only gained 2 pounds. :thumbsup2 the worst part was the lack of water. we weren't on the DDP this time and so DH and i ended up sharing a lot of stuff (makes more sense for us - we're not huge eaters and we usually don't order dessert anyway). so that meant that we'd share a coke instead of me getting a water like normal. my body is screaming at me right now for the lack of H2O! back to work tomorrow......blah!

Welcome home Tara! I missed you. Glad you had fun. I'll get over to your trip report later today!

Well peeps, Baby steps right? I went to NYC with my 3 DDs yesterday on a middle school band trip to see "Wicked". We had about 2 and a half hours to wander the city. My girls always like to start at the Hershey store!:scared1: SO we went to the Hershey store and the M&M store, mt girls got a bit of candy, but I resisted it all and didn't get anything....major accomplishment. We also went to World of DIsney (of course!) The American GIrl Store, H&M and a couple of street vendors. All of this was with dd(14) having that brace on her leg so she can't bend it. She wanted to walk though because she thought a cab would be more uncomfortable with her leg being unable to bend. I guess my girls are just getting used to the city. When all the kids and parent met back at the Theater and were comparing notes on what we all did, everyone else went to one or 2 stores right bythe theater. They couldn;t believe all we'd done...amatuers!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Fun thing is the day before DD(12) went on all day Saturday Kayaking field trip on a small local river that is a tributory to the Hudson. She has never done this before and took to it quite naturallly and she Loves it! Very country thing to do. I absolutely love where we live! We are between the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains. Rural area but only an hour and a half to two hours to Manhattan!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

I'm not going to pretend I've read back.

I'm jumping back in. I have 8 pounds to lose before I put on a swim suit.

I gained it this winter eating badly and I hate it! Mimi asked me the other day why my fat only goes to one place? (Thanks, honey) Anyway it's all wrapped right around my waist. My pants that were loose last Sept. when I went to Disney now barely button. I have to wear a jacket due to muffin top.

I'm getting back in shape so I can proudly put on my swim suit!

But.

I do not diet! I limit my calories to what's appropriate and healthy for the weight I want to be.

And I'll exercise. Probably.

So can I come back? :flower3:

I didn't get a chance to weigh in on Friday. -1.5

I am trying to sell one of my horses (my main one, the other is unrideable b/c he is old) I had an awesome 10yo girl out with her mother to look at him this weekend..I will know today if they buy. She said she loves him, and so does the mom, so they are just convincing her dad. He must be the check writer! Fingers crossed please!! Every week that goes by without him being sold is another $100 out of my pocket!! :scared1:

Have a great week everyone!

Hi melinda!! :)

Hi melinda!! :)

Oh I hope they take the horse! They are soooo expensive to keep. I've never had a horse, but I have a former sister-in-law, who had horses, when she was a lttle girl her parent owned a stable in NYC.

DH and I celebrated our 24th anniversay a week ago today and that got us talking about the big 25 next year. We're thinking of doing something Disny related, either a cruise or a vowel renewal at WDW, either woulod be tres expensive, so we're not sure of either.

I'm depending on all of you to keep me ontrack for the next year tho, because this will hopefully be my incentive to lose 50-60 punds. I Don't want to pick a number til I'm close to that range and then figure out what is right.

Years and years ago I had a goal of getting skinny before my oldest DD started kindergarten so that I wouldn;t be the fat Mom. Well if I lose that weight by my anniversary next APril, I will have met the goal before her college orientation.!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: SHe is a junior this year!

WELCOME BACK!!!!!

I think the biggest thing that is helping me is only weighing myself once a week and posting it on here! It helps me stay on track. I have some bad days (Like yesterday :headache: but then the next day I dust off and get back on the program ) but I know how you feel The same exact thing that happened to you happened to me last fall as well but I wish I only gained 8 pounds. Last July when I went to Disney in May I weighed in at 135...by the time December of that same year rolled around I was 154! :scared1: ..Now with the help of the peeps and keeping track of my weight every week I now weigh 129.5! :goodvibes

You can do it and we will all be here for you!

Even if you lose 2 pounds to a half a pound a week for the next year there is no doubt you will be a skinny minnie ;) by your anniversary trip!

Thanks, Pixie/Tara/LMO!

But wait just a darn minute. ((screeching record))

I just weighed myself before I got in the shower. And we're gonna have to make that 10 pounds! AAAHHHHHH!

How did I gain 2 pounds over the weekend?!?

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: I am so ashamed of myself. #1 I had a really bad week on my diet & #2 I didn't even post on Friday. I did weigh though. I was + 2.6. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Now for the excuses: DD and DH's birthdays were both this week, and we went out to eat a total of 5 times with various family and friends for their birthdays. And, we had lunch catered at work 4 days this week, and I had absolutely NOOOO will power. :confused3

But, I am re-committed. :thumbsup2 A friend of mine gave me about 30 pair of her "fat pants" that are actually a size or two smaller that what I am currently in. They are nice ones too! Ann Taylor Loft, Express, Abercrombie and Fitch, J Jill, Eddie Bauer... So, I have to get into those!

Hopefully I will be able to stay up to date and post more this week. I think that keeps me on track better.

Don't be ashamed, I just went off the wagon and gained 3.8 lb in one week. I did very well this week and even on the weekend which is my problem. I go to WW on Tuesday and can't wait to see how I did. My rings feel lose today.

So after a super nice day of shopping and buying nice sleeveless tank tops for Disney!!! I came home and ate soooo bad!!!! WHY?????!!!! I couldnt even tell you!!!! anyway tomorrows another day...of alot of working out!!!! :headache:

It's one day of bad choices, it's ok, it happens. So what did you buy?

Hi everyone!

Shameless plug...I ended up starting a pre-trippie for my may solo adventure. The link is in my siggie - stop by and have a read!

I bookmarked it for later this morning.

I'm going to go to the city in a couple of months, maybe June. A friend of mine wants to go the Americal Girl store but I told her I'll go with her as long as we get to the World of Disney. She said sure why not.

We went to the Catskills for vacation a couple of years ago. I loved it. The scenery is so beautiful all of the mountains.

MELINDA you're back. I missed seeing your post first thing in the morning. Everyone has bad weight gains, no worries.

I didn't get a chance to weigh in on Friday. -1.5

Hi melinda!! :)

My son would love to buy your horse except we don't have enough property (where we live you need 2 1/2 acres we only have 2) or the $$$$ for a horse. He wants to be a bull rider went he grows up.

DH and I celebrated our 24th anniversay a week ago today and that got us talking about the big 25 next year. We're thinking of doing something Disny related, either a cruise or a vowel renewal at WDW, either woulod be tres expensive, so we're not sure of either.

I told my DH I want to do a vow renewal at Disney. Looks like they start out at $10,000 that's probably with not all the bells and whistles though. Yes I went online and looked. I wish I can see more of the details though but I have a lot more years to go, we're only on 11 (12 this Oct). My DH said why are talking about something that is going to happened in 13 years  . He doesn't know how to plan anything does he?

I went off the deep end yesterday shopping, I had so many bags that when I came home I had broken blood vessels on my arms from holding them, my fiance is seriously going to KILL me! He got me a Disney Visa 2 months ago & I spent so much $$$ on it already we probably have enough points for a free vacation :rotfl: I got 2 new bikinis, a bunch of sleeveless shirts, a pair of super comfortable keds ( I usually wear flip flops but I need a pair of sneakers just in case)
this awesome "tokidoki" lesportsace bag for walking around the parks and a pair of Coach burgundy red sunglasses, I have another pair but they are very 'Lauren" from the Hills they are huge not exactly theme park sunglasses, but who knows I will probably wear them.

We named my son after Ty Murray the bull rider. Well, not after him b/c he's cool..we just loved his name!!!

DH and I also want to renew vows in Disney...9 years to go! :rotfl: Although we kinda regret having a local wedding last year b/c of all the crap we went through with his family...we wish now we had eloped to Disney. Oh well.

Hi all! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. It was just gorgeous here; it ALMOST makes the 40 below wind chills and 4-foot high snow drifts in the winter worth while. Almost...

All right, here is the final-tally-unless-someone-wants-to-weigh-in-today totals for our Cinco de Mayo thing. Congrats to those who met their challenge! We even had a few who DEMOLISHED their goal. Way to go! As for me, well, better luck next time I guess.

f_Peepm_3e8c27c.png

The consensus seems to be that July 4 is a good milestone for our next challenge. So who's in? That's 9 weeks (including this week). I'm striving for 6.3 so I can be under 160. 12 would be outta sight, because that would put me below my goal weight. But I'll take just having a "15" at the start of my weight for probably the first time since I was a "tween". (Wendy, I've already got your marked down for 7 - unless you want to change it.)

H and I also want to renew vows in Disney...9 years to go! :rotfl: Although we kinda regret having a local wedding last year b/c of all the crap we went through with his family...we wish now we had eloped to Disney. Oh well.

I told DH that if I knew 11 1/2 years ago we could have gotten married in Disney, I would have.

Aaron - pitme down for 5 lb for the 4th challenge. Thanks.

..ok Aaron and all..I believe you can count me in for 7 lbs for the July 4th challenge. I know i will probably be a gainer this week ( AF and all) but i have faith that i can do 7 in 9 weeks overall...:goodvibes

Put me down for 5lbs. I would make it more, but a week at WDW is very likely to add some back...

Im in for 10 lbs... this Cinco with queso everywhere I need to work it off before free dining!
