Good morning everyone :)
Just wanted to poke my head in and say hello before the day takes me away from the Dis...i was a good dooby yesterday and went to curves THEN went on a nice long hilly walk in a neighborhood park...that Ipod I invested in is def. worth it..nothing like listening to great music ( david cook tunes :rolleyes1 ) and enjoying a nice day outside while earning " activity points" hahah.
Today my exercise will be tennis! Can't wait!
Have a great day everyone! :goodvibes

If anyone has any extra pixie dust or prayers I could use them. I'm getting ready to take the Nursing 202 final exam and I'm extremely nervous. :scared: I didn't sleep at all last night. Not even 5 minutes. :guilty: The final counts for 25% of our grade. It could make me :thumbsup2 or break me :sad1: . Thanks everyone in advance.

You got mine and remember you do know more than you think. Some questions may throw you but it usually is the wording. Just don't forget your 1st instinct is usually the right one!

Just give yourself some credit for what you know. Big breakfast and then go back afterwards to the ones you didn't automatically know ans leave ones alone you did.

I went back and reread all my questions once and started 2nd guessing things and will never do that again!

Got my prayers and my confidence that all will be great! Have faith! :flower3:

I bolded something in your post - answer = you're human. When you go to your first meeting I would love to hear about this program, I have never heard of it.

Laura

There is nothing wrong with you! As Laura said, you're human! Let's face it, if we didn't have problems with self control when it comes to food, then none of us would be here. The key is to find something, anything, that works for you. Personally, Weight Watchers works for me. But it's definitely not for everyone. If this new one works for you, then super! If not, then you just need to move on to the next one (like counting calories). But no matter what, we're here for you. And you WILL lose those 9 pounds!!!

Nothing's wrong with you. We all struggle sometimes.

Thanks you guys. This is why I love this thread - it makes me realise that its not just me who falls off the wagon, and you're right, I am only human. Im really looking forward to starting Slimming World, im hopping right back up onto the wagon!
Laura - I'll post more info on Slimming World when ive been to my meeting on Monday - Im excited to learn more about how it works!

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

Thanks again for the welcome! So good to see all my friends here! I've missed you all!!!

Yesterday was a big of a struggle. I didn't realize how much I was garbage mouthing.....if it looks good, eat it. I pulled my hand back from DS's tater tots last night at the last second. Hmmm.

Also I walked DS to school and walked back to get him yesterday. It's a start. Gotta get back to my Slim in 6 DVD that showed such great results last summer.

So my plan is simply: Lots of water, lots of fiber, 1400 calories and exercise.

FIDGE? Fidge! Is that you, honey?

Lynda!...Love and hugs to you and Josh too!

Tara! There's a DS is your siggie now! Congratulations! How's he doing?

c4alymom
...50 pounds! Awesome!

LMO...25 pounds! Wonderful! How'd you do it?

Rx....I'm Melinda. Nice to meetcha. Are you a pharmacist?

Aaron....Put me down for the 10. Hopefully 5 of it is water weight! ;)

HAVE A GREAT DAY, EVERYONE!

It sounds like to me you're on the right track, and it's so good to see you back here posting again. :)

:wizard: Here's some pixie dust. You'll do fine.

Hey there everyone....tiptoeing back in after being gone for close to a month. I didnt fall off the wagon, life just got in the way. In fact I am back down to 1 pound below my pre-pregnancy weight now so I am happy about that! I do need to make more of an effort to get over here every day though. I miss my peeps, and all the support keeps me on track.

DS is 11 weeks tomorrow...already.We have really been struggling with him, so any spare pixie dust you have would be appreciated. He has horrible reflux-so bad they sent him for an upper GI to be sure his anatomy was all ok, and it was. BUT, that also means there is no real fix for this. We have tried all sorts of things and they seem to work for a week or so and then we backslide. It is all so frustrating because DD was so easy and I hate to see him so uncomfortable.

In other news, my :jumping3: :jumping3: surgery is set for June 2nd...assuming I dont get any other pleasant surprises causing me to postpone another 9 months  I am anxious and excited at the same time. Will probably be the easiest 5+ pounds I have ever lost :rotfl: I get to ahve my first mamogram in preparation for the surgery too, cant wait.

Lastly- we drove back to OH for a good friends wedding a week or so ago. 2 days in the car each way, but we all managed to make it through. I actually almost enjoyed the trip in the car all things considered. Amanda was a flower girl, I did the flowers and Brandon was dressed to impress ;)

Hope everyone is having a good week...I am off to read back a few million pages to try to catch up.

It has taken me a while to catch up.:goodvibes Pixie dust to all those who need it.

Hi,Melinda!:goodvibes

Dance, special prayers sent your way.PM me if you ever want to.I had four kids who all had reflux.Three required numerous tests and two were classified "failure to thrive" because of it.My DS10 still has issues with it and we have come to accept it.Most outgrow it as soon as they begin to sit up well or walk.

This past weekend I was on "vacation".All my family was gone:cloud9: and I enjoyed myself.I watched 11 movies, ate out with friends and did no exercise. From Friday morning to Monday morning I gainded five pounds.:sad1: I weighed this morning and 2.5 of those pounds are gone.

Aaron, can you please sign me up for the challenge? I had hoped to be at my goal weight by July 4 because that is my beach trip but I need to be realistic. Please put me down for 8 pounds. That will put me at 5 pounds above my goal weight.

I'm still doing the up and down thing...... It's so frustrating. I will fluctuate as much as 5lbs in a week. I know part of it (and I think a big part at that) is a sluggish digestive tract. Fiber and water help but not by much.
I had been cursed by this for much of my adult life. The things that have helped me are: High-fiber cereal every morning, adding some baby spinach to my salad and using an olive oil based dressing (recommended by my ob/gyn), drinking oodles of water, and getting regular exercise. Lots of fruit too, especially the high fiber ones (I can't wait till July, when our plum tree produces:cloud9: ). I feel like a new woman.

Good morning everyone :)

Are you a Romper Room fan by any chance?

My niece had the surgery in January and is doing great. Good luck to you.

I ate (and drank) too much at my friend's house tonight. It was really nice for all of us (current and former kinder teachers) to get together, though. This is the friend who just lost her husband. She is hanging on "by a thread", but she just keeps plugging along. My heart just breaks for her. Her advice to all is to keep a credit card in just your name (her DH's wallet was lost when he fell out of the boat, so she had to stop all the credit cards, but then needed one to pay for the funeral, etc). She is also struggling to organize all the paperwork for life insurance, investments, etc. If you don't know where these things are in your house (or whether you even have them), talk to your SO now. You don't need the additional stress in a time of tragedy. Sorry to be such an Eeyore, but that's where we are tonight.

GOOD MORNING! :sunny:

How is everyone? Thank goodness there was a tray of fruit at the staff meeting yesterday instead of a birthday cake. The staff birthday boy is on a diet and requested the fruit!

I am trying to start making my own little Lean Cuisines again for work. I made my black beans/rice last night and packaged it up so I'm good to go today.

Tara....I'm so excited that you have your sweet lil man! If you have time, pm me a picture!

Fidge....I'm going back to look for your update. I want to hear all about your family, your health, your job, everything! Are you planning another trip? In Sept?

Dance....Love the pictures! Amanda looks beautiful in her flower girl dress! And your little man is yummy! Love the tie! I know you're excited about finally having your surgery. Congratulations!

Amy
....:wave2: A weekend in your home without your family? It's my dream! I've never spent one night here alone. Did you see any good movies?

Fran
....How'd the test go, sweetie? I bet you aced it!

Danielle
....You are so right. I need to get all that stuff together so I'll have it when I need it. Question: why the olive oil based dressing? I so love Kraft Lite 3-cheese Ranch. ;) I love seeing you at trivia everyday BTW.

Lynda, Pixie, Gina, Noni, LMO, Laura, UK, everybody.....:wave2:

HAVE A GREAT WEDNESDAY!

Dance - Great pictures! Amanda's dress is so pretty, and Brandon looks so adorable.

How awesome you can bring him to work with you, what do you do?

I'm a nanny..been doing it about 12 years. Right now I have DS, a 2yo and a 4 yo. There is a 7yo but he is in school all day. The kids are great so I technically should work another year..it's that easy. But I don't want to!! Been doing it for so long I think I am mentally tapped out.

Melinda-I will PM you some pictures tonight..I am late for work!!! :scared1:

Hi Everybody!!! :wave2:

Life here has been very busy! I have spent the last 4 days painting, cleaning, packing and getting my house ready to put on the market. I am exhausted! Luckily I have had help, but it still has been tiring! The house was listed yesterday, so we are hoping people start coming through soon. :rolleyes1 (Is that too much to ask??) It has great curb appeal and the inside is cleaner than it's ever been! :rotfl2: Little things have been fixed, rooms painted and the front gardens are coming in nicely! We added pansy's for a splash of color, and will add impatiens when they are available. The hostas and iris' are all growing well and filling in.

On top of this, I have my grandson in the mornings this week and I am putting final preparations on a Garden Party for church, which is this weekend! I am just feeling crazy at this point! :crazy2:

Aaron..Please add me to the July 4th Challenge and put me down for 10 lbs. It will be pushing it, but I am determined!!!

WE listed our house last night! Yayyy!

It's FUN trying to keep a house clean enough to show with 4 kids and daycare kids too! I'm in for a stressful time, too.

Aaron-put me down for 15pds for the July 4th challenge. I have been averaging 1.5-2lbs a week and I am going to stay positive that I can keep it up!!!! :thumbsup2

Does anyone else become a complete wreck right before their Disney trip??????!!!!! :scared1: Last night I had a dream that when we got to our room at the beach club there was a snake in our living room!!!! I looked on my dream dictionary the meaning of a snake in a dream and it said BAD LUCK!!!! gee whiz I hope not!

I am getting so nervous I keep checking my flight, my reservation I wish it was just next wednesday and I am at the point where I am getting off the plane i then i can take a big deep breath and RELAAAXXXX!!!!!!

My mom started packing last night when I went there she had enough lotions and creams to do a magic trick! ;) I keep telling her Disney is not a dressy place tee shirts and shorts are the dress code!!!! what a rookie she is! :lmao:

anyway i am really excited oh and i made my goal of 38 inch hips!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome!!!!

Dance - Your children are beatuiful. Your DD looked so pretty and I love the little man with a tie. My DD2 had colic issues so I know what it's like with the crying all the time. Hope he starts to feel better.

dwheatl - We had a plum tree in our yard when I was younger too, yummy. I'm curious about the olive based dressing as well. My midwife told me to start taking Fish oil because I don't eat fish so I take 2-3 pills a day. To your friend who lost her husband. I remember when my FIL took his own life and my MIL telling me she was getting all of her paperwork together for us because she was looking all over the place for things.

Eventer98 - I understand about the mentally taped out of things. If you can manage life without the extra $$ go for it. I like to see pictures too of the little guy.

DisneyObsession - Maybe I should pretend we're moving and that way my house would be decluttered. Good luck on selling it. Pansies are my favorite.

Hello everyone. DD2 is still sick, she has coxsocki virus (don't know if I told you guys that). No fever since last night so keep your fingers crossed. We're supposed to go to school tomorrow for DS6 class. It's teacher appreciation week and the room mom asked me to come in and I get to bring DD. So as long as no fever today, we can go.
