For those who prefer a one bedroom villa , how do you feel about the two bedroom villa? Are the extra points worth the space even if you don’t need all the sleeping surfaces?

We like getting the 2-bedroom for the extra space, even though it's just the four of us (we've got two teenagers). Still, it doesn't make sense to burn the points in such a way, so we don't do it often.

Going purely by sleeping surfaces, pretty much all I'd ever need is a duo or tower studio. But we have taken to one-bedrooms for our week long stays because we want the space and amenities. No need for a two bedroom for us unless we travel with family, in which case we'd do a lock-off.

Right now, no. We’ll only book the 2 bedroom if we have more than 5 people traveling together. Things may change once my boys are older though (they’re only 5 and 8 right now)

If our party of 4 is in the villa, we book a 2 bedroom. We need two bathrooms for vacation happiness. Eta: and closed doors.
The kitchen/ LR space is the same for a 1 bdrm and 2 bdrm.

We enjoy the two bedroom villas when there are four adults. We prefer not to have anyone sleeping in the living room.

If we don’t want to spend the points on a two bedroom, we get two studios.

We enjoy our resort stays and are not park open to close people. We head to the parks around 10am and return mid afternoon and maybe return after dark, especially in the Summer.

But, we will splurge points on a one bedroom club level every now and then

I did this with my parents once. Even though our rooms were connected by a door, they had their own kitchen, bedroom and bathroom

If someone is sleeping in the living room (or light sleeper in the master), it might be best for those in the lockoff to have their own private entrance and kitchenette.

Ours is dictated by room size. We are a party of 3, DH, DD 19 and I. A 1bdrm usually works but we are looking at adding on at CCV because the 1bdrm is a little small for the 3 of us. We will move up once we add on to a 2bdrm and I am very worried we will be hooked.

Curious when would you get a 2br vs a 2br lockoff?

A dedicated 2br will have 2 queen beds in the second bedroom, while the 2br lock off will have a queen bed with either a murphy bed or a sleeper sofa.
If those using the second bedroom will only be sleeping in one bed, then the lock off is preferred so they can have the sofa area for a private, comfortable, and quiet place to relax, away from the rest of the group.
If they will be using both beds in the second bedroom, then the dedicated 2br is preferred for the 2 queen beds.

We know our 1 bedroom days are limited due to the kids getting older and needing their own beds. We're making do right now by booking villas with an extra sleeping surface but you can't do that at every resort. We own at CCV and knew this day would come. I'm also really looking forward to the second bathroom.

This is us.... If we have a trip with 4 adults, the 2BR definitely comes into play and allows us to very comfortably spread out and enjoy the space. If we have the points, we definitely use them on the occasional trip like that.....

I’d say worth only if more than 3 occupants. (Want to have someone in it lol). Keeps from having to use a couch or murphy bed. Personal preference but the point spread is nice going one to two bedroom, after already using alot of points going studio to one bedroom.

I've known of a couple cases where people have reserved a 2 BR when there were only 2 people going. When I looked at the points and realized that the jump in points from a 1 BR to a 2 BR was not as much as the jump in points from a studio to a 1 BR (at least where I was looking), I thought it might be a treat for us sometime so DH and I could each have a bathroom.
